I don't expect much out of gas stations (I don't think many people do), so we were both kinda floored by how NICE the interior of this gas station was. Like practically upscale fancy (for a gas station), clean and well-lit, with a decent selection of REAL food (produce, milk, eggs, etc.) in addition to the typical junk fare. I was also impressed by the tap smoothie and protein shake dispensers alongside the coffee brews and soda fountain. Bakery items were actively being discounted when we arrived, and were extremely tempting flavors like pumpkin white chocolate chip. Perhaps needless to say, we walked out with more than hubbie's cup of coffee. X'D Making your shop look nice (while staying affordable) works y'all! Honestly this trend of gas stations that TRY is refreshing; it doesn't have to feel like you're slumming it or one step above peeing on the side of the road. Next time I need a quick something, I may in fact prioritize Kwik Trip over say Holiday or Speedway. Also the employees working here were friendly and efficient. Just today I came to get a car wash, and I also placed a pizza order. I marked my parking spot/arrival location as being in the car wash line, which I knew was a bit of a challenge. They didn't quite make it in time, so I called to let them know I had pulled into the wash. I said "I know I gave you a challenge there (while laughing)" and they laughed with me and just told me to pull up next to the front door when I was done. They watched for me out the window and brought the pizza out promptly when I pulled up. The pizza was handed off with a joking "we'll have to charge you more for this one" comment. Despite my variety of choices, I bypass all of these stores to go to Clark (also known as Amy's Mini Mart). From the outside, Clark appears to be a tiny inconspicuous gas station that would make for a convenient stop for a Snickers bar. In the inside, Clark provides more than instant gratification for a sudden sweet tooth. My basis for declaring my loyalty to this establishment come from three appeals. 1) Price: Though Clark is not the cheapest gas station available to me but it is the cheapest in my immediate area. The food and drinks within the store cost about as much as they would at any other convenience store. Though s few of the items exclusive to Clark are much cheaper than their name brand counterparts so i like to take advantage of that possibility when i can. 2) Friendliness: After being a regular patron of this gas station since the spring of 2010, the faces of those that work there have become all too familiar. Some of them I even know by name. I can easily strike up a conversation with any of the employees, even the ones i don't know as well as others. No matter who's working I always feel comfortable and welcome as I walk through the doors. 3) Quality: I'm well aware that Clark is a gas station, not Olive Garden. I don't expect nor claim that their merchandise is high end or superb. I will claim, however, that I thoroughly trust that whatever I happen to buy there will be fresh and satisfying. There is no surprise that going to Clark on a daily basis over the span of six or so months has proved it to be my favorite gas station. But without the aforementioned reasons, I wouldn't be so adamant about upholding my daily ritual. As long as Clark stands at the corner of Douglas and Brittany Drive, you can expect me to see me there once (possibly twice) a day.

I wanted to hit a BP gas station and didn't know where one was. I did a quick search and found this one in Coon Rapids. It was roughly 4.5 kilometres away from where I was. I drove over here through backroads. It was straightforward getting here. I enjoyed driving through an area that I'm unfamiliar with. This gas station had a bunch of signs at its convenience store that were handwritten. It was quite an eclectic set of signs, from CBD and hookahs, to propane and torch lighters. Hopefully, no one is getting all of those items at once. I can see quite the explosion happening and folks being clueless about it. I like the BP app. It allows you to get discounts on gas and pay for your gas fill-up without fumbling for points and payment cards. I simply needed to specify the pump number and fueling started. My fuel savings was 5 cents per gallon. This gas station wasn't all that busy. I believe that there was one person in the convenience store. I didn't need to go in, but it does sound intriguing. It was running low on gas. It was the perfect time to explore a gas station. I found this Speedway a couple of blocks away. The reviews for this gas station are low. My rating will be an anomaly, likely because I didn't deal with humans. I filled my car's gas tank at the pump and left without saying anything to anyone. Maybe that's the key. Don't talk to staff and you'll have a better Yelp rating? I could be wrong. There seemed to be a steady flow of customers needing to fuel their vehicles. I had no problem finding an available gas pump. I paid at the pump with a credit card. I like that Speedway does not prompt you to enter your ZIP code. I don't have one because I'm a Canadian tourist, but I do have a way of getting by if I must enter one. I learned later on that the Alt ID prompt on the screen allows you to enter your phone number associated with your Speedy rewards. I have been submitting my receipt through the app. I no longer need to. This gas station was clean. I had no issues fuelling my car. I got my receipt so that I could submit my receipt for reward points. This Speedway has a convenience store. Many folks were heading inside to either prepay for gas or buy something. I didn't need anything, so I didn't check it out. I had a good experience here. I'd drop by again when I'm in the area and need fuel or a snack. (14)
