This place reminds me of a more chemically responsible version of one of my favorite bars back home in Philly, Tattooed Mom's. Same vibe, just serving uppers during the day instead of depressants in the evening and nighttime. Anyway, the service is great, as is the coffee. What more can you want? Okay, fine, "drink-on-premise" mugs would be nice. But I'm not too cool for a standard paper coffee cup. And honestly, it's the vibe.

I ordered a Butter Beer latte which included carmel, toffee & vanilla (decaf, naturally) with a milk substitute and treated myself to a blueberry muffin. The verdict: coffee was tasty, but that muffin? Absolute perfection: light, cake like, and not too sweet. We demolished it so quickly, we nearly made a U-turn to get another! Not too sweet and the matcha was the star. While I got mine to go, this would be a great place to meet someone for breakfast or lunch as they also serve some bakery items like açaí bowls, juices and sandwiches. That knowledge before ordering would have been more helpful. Normally a 5 minute wait or so, I was guessing a 15 minute wait would be reasonable. I went outside listened to 3 songs, back in, still no drink, went back out- 2 more songs, back in, still nothing. Ordered at 11:15, drink was done at 11:51. I think good business would have been upping my size for free, or a coupon, or even a thanks for your patience. A simple, "Thanks," while kind enough, caught me off guard. Any gesture to recognize that wait was unreasonably long would have sufficed. The juice was still delicious, I can't lie. I don't know if it's staffing (2 employees on Sat. morning- no Now Hiring sign tho) or what, but if you are in any kind of time crunch, I'd probably avoid the wait.
