I always come here for an oil change. I did my own oil change with my fiancé dad. Turn out this place been giving me less oil then my car requires. My car is 6 quarts they been giving me 5 or less quarts of oil. Never coming here again. Plus is paying about 110$ makes sense. I just read people pay less then 70$. read more

My opinion and my opinion alone as well as my unfortunate experience as a long time customer. I arrived at a time where surprisingly there was only one other car in the shop. I come in for an oil change, and brake inspection. I was informed that I was in need of some fluids (1 of the 3 listed I had recently done it, with this same location and was told it wouldn't be needed for a refill for the visit after my next) $99 was my first estimate. After looking over my brakes (free brake inspection) I was told the price of $740 due to my rotors wearing down. I was told just the front two. I signed the form for approval and asked why they think it was because of overheating and what is the cause of overheating. No answer in the moment which was fine because they circled back with me with an explanation as of why my rotors were overheating and said my rotors were the only thing needed for replacement along with the brake flushing liquid. I sign the forms for that, which the price was still set at $740. Why do I say it like that? Because they come back the third time with a new price of $1030. I'm confused at this point. Where did this new number come from? They try to explain that now I need the rotors for all four and the pads. I asked to step out and to communicate this to my fiance. We both agree, something isn't adding up with the service and inconsistency being given. I have worked customer service before, so I know how it feels to be on the receiving end of a rude customer. That's not me. I explained that I will gladly pay for the oil change and whatever I had signed for and is already done, however I want a second opinion on the back rotors and the four pads. In their words, the mechanic was bored and can start right away with my car so if I choose to go ahead with everything, he'll be done really quick. Well, I didn't consent to the last recommendation. I didn't agree with the final cost of $1030 because it was never mentioned to me until after I had already signed. Not cool. After declining their recommendations and stating that I wanted a second opinion, they got the manager and tried to tell me that I have to pay the full price because the mechanic had already started. I'm sorry that he was bored and jumped the gun, but if there was no consent then nothing should have been done in the first place. It was a matter of maybe 10 minutes from the moment I signed for the $740 explanation, and when I got off the phone to then tell them my answer. They had even said they would wait for the clipboard, which I was holding, before they start anything. It took 10 minutes for this guy to remove my tires and whatever other pieces (I'm assuming the rotors) in which then the manager said I would need to pay atleast half for his labor. I shouldn't have, but I said I would pay for half of his labor cost for it. I explained that although my signature is on the form, you cannot throw another $ on there and claim that I signed for it. That's illegal. It took 10 minutes for him to remove my tires. It took 40 minutes to put it back on. In the cameras, I saw the girl that was helping me, now on her phone. The mechanic, walking around, wiping a window instead of putting my tires back on. Two other workers available, one training and putting oil in the only other vehicle in the shop. This shop's staff is shady, rude, and very petty. Leaving the shop, each person who worked on my car made it a point to come see me to make a remark. I'm not phased, but I'm not stupid either. I will say this. Thank you Speedee at Aborn Rd and Capitol Expressway for the pathetic service you provided today with such an expansive staff available to not only help a customer get her car back in one piece with 4x the amount of time it took to take it apart, but to place oil grease in the interior of my car door, and to act very unprofessional. I think it's a fair warning sign for anyone to skip a mechanic shop who deflates your tires as oppose to filling it to it's proper psi limit. Skip this place, or happily let them over charge and scam you. Your choice. read more

STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE (UPDATE 6hours later) I took my car in last Wednesday, April 20. They upticked the cost from 99.00 to 130.00 (because they have some sort of special euro blend). If anyone ever tries to tell you that, don't buy their marketing. End of the day they put in regular oil. This is where it gets worse. My car began leaking oil shortly after I left and within 24 hours, I had no engine oil. It's like these incompetent so called mechanics didn't know how to do an oil change, and they had the nerve to talk down on me during my visit and overprice a standard oil change. My car has not leaked oil for 5 years up until now. They damaged my engine. They had one job and they screwed up. I only went to them thinking they were quick since it was on my way to work and my regular guy wasn't available. UPDATED AREA: my mechanic was the last who changed my oil filter and advised Speedee didn't swap out my oil filter. They also forgot to put the seal along side with the drain plug. WOW.... read more

Don't go this shop! My car has tail lights on for right side tail light, so I stopped by this auto repair shop to estimate for repairs. "A good looking guy" checked my car and told me that the lights at both sides were not light up, both side were bad. so he gave an estimate $200 for labor and minimum $50 for parts. also said the parts are expensive. He did not answer me "why the signal shown that only right side tail light has a problem?(but he said two sides problem)". I drove back home and open the tail light box and changed one of light bulbs, total cost was only $4. total effort was less than 5 min. By the way, I have 0 experience and knowledge on how to fix this car issue before. He also told me $180+ for oil changes, which is more expensive than my car dealer. As an auto repairs professional, the estimate is over expensive and adding issues which are not existed. This guy/shop is not honest and can not be trusted! Don't waste your money there! read more

The price isn't bad for an oil change. My go to place wasn't taking anyone after 4pm which made it impossible with work. I called same day and was able to get my oil changed right away. I had my own synthetic oil and paid about $35 for them to change it. Pretty good if you ask me. Oil changers off Monterey has amazing customer service but for $50.... it's a bit steep when you get oil changes often. 5 stars for 5 star service. They get your car in and out in a timely manner. Everything went smooth as it can be, they know what I needed to get done and they made sure it got handled without any hiccups. This shop is definitely more efficient and friendly than other lube shops in town. Shout out to Anthony for making sure my car was serviced properly and being welcoming once I stepped into the shop. If you ever had a job like this you'd understand that they get it done right. Used to go to Jiffy Lube, but this shop has been 10/10 for the pass 5 years counting. BEWARE OF PREDATORY MECHANIC WORK. Went in for basic fluid work. Oil change. Break fluid fill. Power steering flush. Signed the agreement for just those items. However, the manager came back with more maintenance recommended that was unnecessary from an oil/fluid shop. Got a phone call in the waiting room from the mechanic Rick working on my car that he "noticed" that my motor mounts were broken, voice mail included. Next thing I knew they wanted to "show me" what the engine was doing which was a small lift. Yolanda, the manager, then began to explain the situation and couldn't honestly tell me how urgent to replace these mounts. "Legally, I need to tell you to replace them now". Now, I came only to do fluid work which evolved to "I can order these OFF BRAND PARTS to fix your car if you order them right now it'll be done before we close". With this false sense of urgency and dishonesty, I reluctantly verbally agreed. These mechanics know that they are only there for smog/oil/fluid maintenance work, yet somehow they got my motor mounts off my car within 20 minutes of agreeing so that I'd be trapped into the labor costs. Keep in mind that the contract was only signed for the requested fluid work, yet somehow they added to their copy all this extra work that wasn't written on my personal copy. If they were honest, and didn't want this 1-star review from me, they should have been forthcoming about taking it to my car's specific dealership/mechanic to get that work done. Not to mention redrawing a new contract to agree with the extra work being done(ordering off brand parts and labor). On a side note. The voice mail informed me the engine mounts(2 of 3) were broken, but when I received my parts back they were actually just loose/slightly compromised. These mechanics are only there for basic fluid/smog needs not specialized car repair. TLDR: Went in for just an oil/fluid work. ~400/500$ job. Got swindled into a ~1400$ car repair with OFF BRAND parts without contractual written agreement to extra work. read more

I was in and out and when I got home to double check the work is all was done perfectly. They treated me nice and did excellent work I wil refer all my freinds and family to this location. I brought my car in for a basic oil change about a week ago. After arriving I noticed the hanging sign out front about a free brake inspection. I inquired about the service and the gentlemen assured me it would be taken care of at no extra cost. I also asked for a military discount and provided my identification, they then took 10 dollars off of the cost. The man said it would be about an hour or so wait as another couple of cars where in front of me, I said no problem and take your time. About 45 minutes later I got a call about the oil change being done a couple of items they thought should be taken care of, none of which where about the brakes. I inquired about the brakes and they said they where great and would not need any work. I picked up my car and proceeded to drive home. The next day I noticed a squeal sound from all four tires while driving and braking. I had to drive home for the holidays and would not be able to take it in that day. A week goes by until I'm back in town and bring it back to have the brakes re inspected. The gentlemen said it may just be water causing the sound and I said it has been happing before any rain and started the day after getting it back from this location. The gentlemen then said he was going to take it in and have it checked out. After an hour wait a older gentlemen comes into the lobby and calls my name to say and come take a look at the car. My car was on the stand and all four tires where taken off, the older man proceeded to show me some dusting near the tires of the worn brakes and said all the brakes would need to be changed. I asked how much and he replied about $1800. I said I'm sorry but will have to think about it and please put my brakes and tires back on. He then said it would be dangerous for me to drive and scared me into having to pay the money and get the service done. I brought to his attention that the tires started making the sound the next day after leaving that location and I even asked for a brake inspection. He responded with "well last time they may have not done a real brake inspection". So I agreed to the service as I was in a time crunch and had to get to class. They did offer to pay for an Uber but when I came back five minutes later the older gentlemen started asking the younger guys in the shop who could take me. I said no to having one of the workers drive me and had to pay for an Uber to class and back to the shop. Overall I ask for this business to get no further clients as the work they do is shady and grossly over priced. I also ask for this company to get investigated by the Better business Bureau for again shady practices and potentially causing harm to my car and putting me in danger when driving home that night after the original oil change. I recommend for no one to get work done hear and be backed into a corner to pay for a service that should have never been needed and took no ownership for fault of it even happening. read more

These guys are professionals. They always do a top-notch job every time I come here for oil changes.They are honest and will tell me if they see something wrong with my car. For example, once they notified me that there was something wrong with my axle. I liked that they showed concern even though they do not fix axles. Blonde gal lifts up my hood and checks out my engine. Clean engine, she thinks. But...what is that 710 knob? She got me...I don't know what the 710 knob is. So I peek under the hood and she points to the OIL cap..."See? 710 knob. She asks me again as I try to hold my laughter in. Nowadays I either don't have time nor the patience to change oil on my own. Plus I make a pretty good living now, so it's time for me to kick back and let someone else do it for me. Speedee is quick, depending on when you bring it in. I always show up either right when they open or 30 minutes after, and am always out on time. Service can be spotty; I did notice once that my oil cap was not put on properly. Periodically my children drop off their cars for oil change and servicing. They cover Ford, Kia and Mercedes. I am looking for fast efficient friendly service at a reasonable price. This happens to be right next to our shopping center and so I scheduled an appointment and took the car in. I was met by Randy who quickly wrote up the order and moved the car into the station. I used the time to go grocery shopping next door at Sprouts and when i returned 20 minutes later, Randy went over the results of the free 17 point inspection. I was pleased that they caught problem with brake rotors, Cabin air filter, Engine air filter so I agreed with the estimate for all except the brakes. I came back in 45 minutes after lunch at 8Elements the Indian restaurant next door and everything was done and I picked up the Kia for the agreed price. read more

Went here for an oil change on my SUV. The tech who did my oil change recently moved to California from Louisiana. The service started out good and he was telling me things about my SUV that he "wasn't supposed to share." He said this was because they had different laws and he wanted to take care of me. He upsold me to the $89.99 oil change but he was able to knock off $10 because he was "hooking me up." When I went to go pay he said "you know your SUV takes 6 quarts of oil right?" I told him that I have always put 5 quarts and the manufactures website also shows 5. He charged me for the extra quart which conveniently cost $10, taking me back to the regular price of the oil change. I have always gone here for my car services but I will find a new place going forward. This place is shady. Please avoid! read more

1. Pulled up in the right line (2nd station?) seconds after another vehicle. Another car pulls up behind that line maybe 2 minutes later and was helped before I was. Usually, I would get a "I'll be right with you sir" as soon as I pull up. Not this place. 2. They need to change their name. They are far from "speedee". Was initially given a "45 minute...to maybe an hour" wait time. It's hitting the hour mark and my car is still in the bay. 3. In the hour long wait sitting here in their waiting area, I've witness 2 customer complaints. An older Hispanic man was talked into getting a fuel injection service. He initially said ok until his wife said something in Spanish which I understood as "don't do it, it's not necessary". He quickly changed his mind and told the tech NO but was charged for it anyway. Had to call in the tech to confirm. Another man was called on his phone that his vehicle was ready for pickup. He was concerned about what they were doing to his car so he requested to speak to someone. Not sure what was said but it turned out that his car was, in fact, NOT READY! He was told it would be at least another 30 minutes. I saw fumes coming out of that man's ears.lol. I was mad for him. Anyway, I had a terrible experience the last time I came a few years ago and it looks like nothing has changed. I don't know about these five star ratings. They either got lucky or a bunch of paid bots. Will be the last time I am coming here..... 4.
