With the world being so unpleasant nowadays, it's no surprise that people are ready to call out problems in businesses and employees but not when it means the most. I was recently diagnosed with early-onset dementia. Attempting to be as independent as possible for as long as possible. The personnel at Store 114 on 5675 South Grand Canyon have now become a part of my extended family. Having to stay near to my safe haven "home" means I'm subject to our community, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's a fantastic thing. Every day, I get to meet fantastic people and have conversations about the same topics. My morning routine has distinguished this location. Every morning, I go to my local store #114 and buy two 5-hour energy shots, and now I have a shot companion. Tim Moyer is the sweetest person I've ever met.he will take all morning shots with me just so I don't do it by myself. It would be an understatement to say you have him in the perfect place in front of customers. It's a joy to return to a place where I feel comfortable and see the same wonderful people. I can't forget the wonderful ladies of 114#, Alicia and Alexis. My journey is new and uncertain these days. But one thing I am certain of is that your store is more than just a mainstay in my mind; it is family. It may sound stupid, but anyone with dementia will tell you that we appreciate compassion, humility, and just wonderful, pleasant people who make us smile, and they do. Management is awful and rude. They insist on scanning your ID every single time for beer purchases. The law for that only applies to cigarettes. I disagree with that law, too, but this location goes Nanny State. There is a lot of personal information embedded in the bar code on the back of a Driver's License. I usually ask clerks to key my birthday into the system manually, without scanning. I have no idea what a vendor might do with that data. It's also pretty obvious that 21 was a very long time ago for me. I've spent a lot of money at that place in the last decade or so. It's not getting my money, anymore. I was only in the store to buy a 5 hour energy so I didn't get to look around at cleanliness or how the store was set up. The item I needed was right by the register so I made a beeline for it. There was only 1 customer being helped and he had walked in right before me. The cashier was on the phone during his transaction, mine and the 4 sales that happened while I sat in my parking spot writing this review. The 2 star review is just based on perceived rudeness. Yes she told me my total AND she told me to have a nice day when she gave me my change. But as a customer I don't want to hear her talk about someone buying her a drink, or bored people pretending to be her friend. Update: Towards the beginning of August 2018, my husband and I stopped by on the way to a family get together. He bought ice and a 2 liter soda. The employees he encountered were incredibly polite and helpful. An employee noticed my husband looking for soda and pointed him towards the cold sodas. Also there were 2 ladies taking out broken down boxes as he was coming in. They made sure to greet him as they were passing. Further Update: Today (August 14, 2018) the person supposedly pictured in my review has sent a request that I remove her picture from my HONEST review. She said she was on the phone with her boss. I'm giving this store 3 stars for a few reasons. Reason#1 : I don't like when stores don't have an updated coffee section. All they have is sugar and the old fashioned powder creamer my grandmother likes. They have the flavored syrups but it's nothing like the good stuff. Reason#2 : Their selection of snacks and drinks is also limited. Something you may find across the street at 711 most likely won't be in this one. There are a lot of things they just don't keep in stock at all Other then that it's still a convenience store and the gas is always lower then 711 across the street. The management team falsifying documents and video. Was fired for allegedly stealing a pk of chew. Never happen. Requested to sit down with management and review video surveillance. They denied me the opportunity. I've never stoled from any company I've ever worked for. Requested termination papers to hand over to my lawyer for wrongful termination. They wouldn't grant me that opportunity. I suggest boycotting the store for unfair labor practices. They have vulgar Biden stickers all over the management office door that I take offense to. read more

Every single time we come here, our experience is always a great one. The first time I came here was with my sister to get snacks, and the staff was so friendly. We'd come here to get snacks and gas each time my boyfriend and I would come to visit my sister in town because it's up the street, and every single time, the staff are just extremely sweet and welcoming. We see them greet every single person with a smile and thank us at the end of our transaction and wish us well. Love this place!!! read more

Today I stopped by speedee mart for the first time. I went to fill up my car with gas, while I was outside I saw a sign that said two pack of cigarettes plus tax $6.69.I went inside grabbed a soft drink and went to the cashier.I asked about the sign and the cashier said it was two packs of cigarettes for $6.69.when I was done I looked at the receipt it said it was $29 dollars. When I asked the cashier why it was that much when the cigarettes were only $6.69 for two packs, she said it was that price per pack.The manager Tarnia (?) Starts withT......gave me attitude and started to talk about my English and how I should have been better at it, this was coming from a middle aged woman. I'm 50years old. Atthat point I started to get frustrated. I asked for a refund and she gave me cash, I asked for the refund receipt and she said why, you have your cash. I thought most places give you the receipt like the mall when you return something. As I was walking out the door she said don't ever come back! And proceeded to laugh and make fun of me. Then I asked her name and what position she was. I also asked to talk to a higher position then she was. She said she would talk to management herself. Her attitude was bad, she treated the customer poorly, and made fun of them. She should have been respectful, and this could have been respectful, and this could have been avoided. This is a local place that is in summerlin, I can not believe that she acted this way. I do not think and owner would train their management to be this disrespectful.
