I found Keith with Source One Rentals in Santa Ana late Friday afternoon, as business hours were fading, and I was traffic-filled hours away and could hardly make it in time. Keith was so helpful and friendly. He went above and beyond the call of duty and arranged for an employee to meet me somewhere afterhours with the document camera I needed. Everything about my experience was so positive, and Keith was so helpful that I literally offered to write this review because I was so thankful and impressed. A classmate sent me the link to OC projector Rentals in HB and yes they had a screen we could rent for $106 dollars. He suggested the framed screen and not the tripod because it was an outdoor event and it could get windy. Picked it up Friday morning, used it Saturday night and returned it Sunday morning. So worth it! Excellent service, easy payment online with credit card. The screen and frame were compact when folded and easy to haul in my little car. The frame unfolds and then the fabric screen just snaps on to the frame. So happy it all worked out!

Expected top notch product though and it didn't happen. Picked up an in-ear monitor, got it home (a couple hours before a gig) and the ear pieces were loaded with dirt, ear wax, and hair. Response from the company was 'there should be some extra pieces in the case' or 'clean them yourself with some alcohol'. Sorry, I was under the impression that I would be provided with a unit ready to use, in healthy and safe condition. Didn't realize I would have to do the job that they pay someone else to do already. Turned out the earbud covers were not simple to replace, so I ended up taking my time to thoroughly clean them. Sounds minor, but first impressions are critical, and when I've got 100 things to do to get ready for a show, last thing I need is a last minute snag, especially driving 40 minutes each way to pick up and drop off the unit.

I definitely made the right decision and the event went off without a hitch and the AV team actually exceeded my expectations. So when I found out 3 days before the 6/15/23 event that the event venue did not have a sound system, my contact with State of the Art was the first email I sent. He responded immediately and put me in touch with Kevin and Steve and they turned around a quote in a matter of hours.
