After finding this business on Yelp I decided to give them a try. I was pleasantly surprised. When I arrived they were quite busy with three cars in each of their two lanes. I was concerned about having to wait a long time and asked the attendant if I should come back when it was less busy. He assured me that they were always busy and that they would get me done in about 30 minutes. I went into their waiting room that was quite comfortable and full of other customers. I picked out a magazine and sat down to wait. To my surprise they has me ready to go in about 25 minutes. They showed me a checklist of all the things they had looked at and it was very thorough. I noticed that there was a middle aged man keeping everything and everyone moving along. Everyone appeared to know what they were doing unlike many of the other lube shops I have gone into. Overall this was a great experience and they will now be my go to lube shop here in St Geotge. read more

My car started giving me problems as I was driving to Las Vegas on Memorial weekend so no one was open except the dealership. I took it to the Dodge dealership in Vegas and I got back a whopping $5,200 estimate. We got some fluids flushed out by them just so we could make it back home to St. George. I brought my car in to Speed Lube and they took a look at my car immediately, and got me an estimate within an hour. The total for my estimate (with adding in new brake pads and rotors) was $2,050! They are quick and thorough in all of their checks, incredibly friendly and remember their customers by name. The waiting area is very nice with TV, lots to read and free soda & wifi. I have come in several times to get a small thing looked at and they'll do it for no charge if it's not major. On Thursday 3/14 I had a problem with a car oil filter I punched for my granddaughter. I had received this car in Las Vegas and was heading home to Farmington, NM and the oil filter started leaking. The Speed Lube team brought the car right in and did a inspection. The gentleman said I could come down in the pit so that I could take a look with him and explained the way a VW oil filter canister works. He spent approximately 30 minutes with me and even filled up the oil in the engine. After the repairs were made I went to pay for my bill and they said "no charge". I'll tell you all, it is really hard to find a good business like this one, as they really helped me out and if I lived in St. George, they would get all of my business. I am a mechanic, and I know they know how to take care of their customers and are honest people. I will be back for any auto care that I have when I'm in the area. THANK YOU Speed Lube! read more

Long story.... I had a bad belt and they said I needed a new alternator, I had the money so I said go a head a fix it. It cost $315 for them to replace the alternator and one belt. I went home and the next day my car dies in taco bell drive thru... I push it out of the way and try to jump it. Nothing. I bought a new battery and everything worked fine for 2 days and it dies again.... tried to jump it...barely got it home. While I know that I am female and I'm not a certified mechanic, I know how to jump a car. The cables are color coded and easy to figure out. I was looking at the alternator cause I know some people are shady and it looked new.....except it also looked like they DID NOT connect the ground wire to the post on the alternator. It was just flapping around. I connected it myself, bought a new battery again and drove it to speed-lube. I told the girl there that I noticed the wire was not connected and explained that it died a few times and the battery wasn't charging. I also told her that I looked up a visual aid for alternators online to make sure that I connected the wire correctly but wanted them to check it out as well. After 3 of the guys sat around the car eating pizza for 10 mins they finally said it was my fault because I jumped the car backwards and blew a fuse. Ok.... we'll go with that. EXCEPT I know damn well I didn't jump it backwards and I didn't jump it until AFTER it died. Which meant that there was a problem BEFORE I jumped it. They made NO mention of the wire or why it wasn't connected. I didn't argue cause they were fixing the fuse for free and I was thankful for that. While I was waiting in the lobby one of the mechanics came in and said the car with the supposed bad alternator is done. They started joking about how I jumped it backwards and the girl that I talked to laughed and said, " she googled all she could!" and they laughed and continued to make fun of me for using the internet to make sure I connected the right wire. After all of that I will NEVER bring my car to them nor will I EVER have anything nice to say about the work they do. If you want a handful of teenagers working on your car or you go to church with them.... by all means take your car in. read more

We had antifreeze in our windshield wiper fluid tank. They sucked it out and filled it with wiper fluid for no charge! Extremely nice and clean place. We'll absolutely come back! The best oil change in town and that was just a bonus. I kept having problems with my Honda Accord I took it into two places they fixed two different things I spent almost $1000 and it still wasn't fixed but with one visit to speed lube they diagnosed the real problem and had it fixed for less the $90. Love this shop! Called about new emissions and safety laws, they were very helpful with information! It took all of 15 mins to get my car registered and everything paid for. They do an awesome job with fully explaining everything. Had to come back the next week because my car was having a different issue, they remembered me when i walked in and they fully explained the problem! Most car shops try to take advantage of girls and overcharge, they don't do that here! They try and give you the most fair price for everything. They're reliable, fast and so so kind. They came in made recommendation as we have a turbo. They also showed us the filter which was dirty.They were very kind and explained everything. Didn't do anything without checking first.
