If I could give zero stars I would! our internet went out and we informed customer service that there was an outage in our area and we would be informed when service was restored... We were never informed of service coming back on and I decided to cancel to get a new internet provider... I went to a store and cancelled then the next day they charged my card again! They claimed that the cycle was from the middle of the month and that they charged at the end of the month. I asked to be reimbursed for the days we had no service and the time remaining that we had on the current month since I cancelled. They told me that they "could not confirm we had no service during the outage" because I didn't call every single day to wait on hold for an hour in order to complain! The manager I spoke to was named Michael and speaking to him was a horrible experience! If you get spectrum your Internet will go out all the time and is completely unreliable and working with customer service is worse than having a root canal! read more

This store is running and a dysfunctional way. For those of us who are just returning equipment it would help for trying to be on the store door stating that you can return your equipment to UPS directly. Waiting 40 minutes to be told Furthermore, there were 15 of us waiting there half which were returning equipment and we were not told this until about 30-40 minutes in. I'm not sure if who I spoke to was out of this office. This rating is more for the company as a whole. These people are thieves. After porting all of my mobile devices, my internet and being offered to reimburse me for what I owed on my tablet, they won't reimburse me for my device because they don't cover tablets. Even though I spoke to multiple people telling me that my iPad was covered, they don't want adhere to what their own people promised. Not a good look. I was not planning on spending that kind of money to bring my tablet over and they conned me into doing so. If it's not the policy to cover tablets, they should've said so from the beginning, not at point when I'm going to claim my buy-back incentive to then tell me they don't cover it and basically tell me to go kick rocks. I can't be the only person this has happened to. Customer service was atrocious. I will be looking for another service moving forward. read more

Thomas at Spectrum is my absolute hero this week. I came into the store because I moved to a new area and switched all of my services from AT&T to Spectrum, including mobile. Whoever I dealt with on the phone was clearly not the best- she got some of my information incorrect, including my phone number... So I didn't get all I needed to switch to mobile. Plus, we had locked AT&T phones (which shouldn't have been locked because they've been long paid for)- apparently, homegirl on the phone was supposed to know this and tell us. Well, surprise, she didn't. I came into the store with two (unknowingly) locked phones and new Spectrum SIM cards. Thomas's associate at the store was kind of like "Oh well, tough nuggies, sort it out with AT&T, then come back."... But Thomas... was truly awesome. He went through the hassle of helping us out, getting all of the codes to unlock the phones for us, and putting in the new SIM cards- all of which took forever. So grateful he helped us. Honestly, had it not been for Thomas, we would've canceled Spectrum Mobile right there and then. I was not in the mood to go back and forth with AT&T, and moving to a new carrier with undependable customer service on the phone can make you feel unsure. But he was so clutch and helped us out, when he could've made our situation someone else's problem. Thank you, Thomas! I needed a win that day, and Thomas made my day better. I would definitely recommend going to Spectrum and seeing Thomas. ALSO, if you're going to set up services, consider doing it IN THE STORE and not on the phone. I went in there to change out one of my internet boxes bc it wasnt working. I got there as soon as the store opened with no one in line. Because I wasn't an authorized user I had to be added on as one. One representative told me I needed to get the authorized user on the line and they can help me. When I had the account holder on the line, the second representative told me that the account holder had to call customer service and added me on instead of just adding me on their computer. This caused me to sit in the store for an hour just for them to take five seconds to give me a new modem. Would not recommend this store. read more

we have been charged for 8 years for a tv box we brought back to spectrum 8 years ago. 3 times we notified spectrum about the issue and we never received any credit. Now that we decided to get away from spectrum, they suddenly want to give us 2 months of credit for the box but not the 8 years. How about the $1500 we paid for the rental of box we never had? guess what? they are blaming us for not notifying them about the issue but we did twice! Lets add the endless service interruptions and the hours spent on the phone trying to convince them the interruption is from their end and not ours!!! we are walking away from them with a big relief of stress. I don't recommend getting their mobile services. After you settle your account, they keep charging your account without authorization, and when you complain, they come up with endless excuses to justify the charges, even though you don't owe anything. read more

A really nice, new location where all Spectrum services are offered: cable, internet, phone and mobile. They are set up with 6 customer service kiosks. On a late Saturday morning, there were 3 persons on staff. I waited, after signing in, for about 10 minutes and had my business complete - returning unused cable boxes - in under 5 minutes. This is my second terrible experience with the sales team this week. I cancelled my service at my Daytona house and unfortunately have to go with spectrum to turn on internet at the Winter Park house. Because it's a monopoly and there are no other internet providers besides CenturyLink which is not fast enough. I thought about switching my service and seeing what offers they have for me to be a returning customer. The sales rep was pushy when I said I wasn't interested anymore (when he said it would be $54.99 to return) and I will just open a new account under my husbands name at the $49.99 promotion rate. I don't know what it is about the sales team but they will not take no for an answer and make you feel ashamed if you don't answer their nosy questions. Worst business ever! This location sucks especially hard - had to wait over an hour 7 months pregnant just to have someone cut me when it became my turn and the employees did nothing. Same employee closed my account - complained that I did listened to Spectrum and cancelled my service by phone and then went to return equipment resulting in me and my baby being there for over an hour while 5 employees took turns trying to return my equipment. Lastly I got a fun surprise bill after I had paid and turned in everything - rep told me wrong info - managers said too bad for me, I will still have to pay more. I took my 2 1/2 year old Samsung to the Aloma location because I was having issues. The female representative told me without checking my phone that it was at the end of its life and I needed a new one. I took her at her word and purchased a new one. Two weeks later I started having the same issues with my new phone. The rep checked my settings and found the I had something turned on that shouldn't be turned on. He changed the settings and said everything should okay and that old phone was probably still good. No apologies for their error. Local cable company monopoly. Takes hours on phone to change services, constantly tries to upsell and repackage deals. I just downgraded from full cable to internet only. Five hours on hold while they piddled and then accidentally disconnected call. Interesting point - they finally made switch to internet only and gave me a discount for taking Spectrum as a free app. Made me realize that their profit comes from revs from cable channels, not customers. We are the product that they sell to cable channels, who pay to be on the service. It's like the way trade publications will send you mag for free because they need subscribers in order to charge for ads. Giving away their product free has the added benefit of hurting Hulu and YouTube Tv. Why pay for them when live TV can be free? Answer - because Spectrum app sucks. Changing channels is a nightmare and it is still stuffed with garbage. People last will pay for less if it's is better organized and curated. read more

I made the mistake of reading reviews before heading to the store and was truly worried it would ruin my Friday. I received a new modem and router and needed to return my old modem. Additionally, the router I received was defective and needed to be replaced. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted by Michael G. who helped me efficiently and effortlessly. Worked with Thomas Vicario and he was great. Efficient, worked quickly and got me the services I needed. Thomas gave me the instructions and equipment to set up wifi myself and it was easy. Got 200+ Mbps with Spectrum for half the cost of CenturyLink and I was only getting 10 Mbps. I will be back to talk to Thomas to add services when I need them. read more

I called and spoke to Cory in the retention department due to an increase in my bill on 3-24-2022 at 4:25 PM EST. She not only lied to me by stating there were no lower speed Internet services for my business or if I switched back to residential since I work in my home, she refused to see if a supervisor was available to speak with. Her only option she told me was to schedule a call back with no guarantee of the date and time, hang up on me, or transfer me to another department. She sat on the phone long enough repeating the options and finally decided my fate by transferring me to the billing department so I was off her line. Most call centers call that call abandonment which is highly frowned upon. When I was eventually transferred back to the retention department because they were the only ones who could make the changes to my account, it turns out there are not lower speeds for business but there are lower prices they can offer to retain a customer. Also residential service does offer lower speeds and further reduced prices. Allowing a representative to determine which promotion to offer based on their mood, further increases the distrust of customers and inconsistencies that make Spectrum a nightmare to deal with. We're all tired of the pricing games and half @ss customer service!!! read more

Spectrum mobile is absolutely the worst service and customer service I've ever experience... From the experience at the local Spectrum store located off Kirkman Rd. to the support you receive on their 800 #... First Ingrid at the local store is the most miserable and least customer friendly person you will ever find...not to mention she just Can't Understand Normal Thinking!!! They make it perfectly clear that there is no customer service at the stores and they are only there to SELL!!! Incredible!!! I have Spectrum Cable and Internet and I love the service...and...spend $2400.00 / year... You would think that may make a difference with the way they treat you...but that would be wrong... I have been on the phone with their technicians for more than 15-hours over the past 2-months...the longest time I've spent on hold is two hours and fifty four minutes... I have placed 18-calls to them and had at least 20-calls back to me... Supervisors are almost impossible to talk to...the reason being that there are so many problems that they are already on the phone taking care of...or...in my case not taking care of... I have never spoken to anyone at Spectrum Mobile that actually even have the service...that should be a good indicator to stay away... I placed a couple of call to Channel 13 news (the local Spectrum 24-hr news station in Orlando) and spoke to a women named Margaritta... I first asked if they could do a story on the horrible service from Spectrum Mobile...but...she said that would not be possible...go figure... However...she did take my name, number, and address and said she would look into all the problems and get back to me...I think she will... The problem with my phone is that it simply doesn't work...they replaced the Sim card...with no improvement...still only get 1/2-1 bar... I was supposed to have the phone replaced if the Sim card fix didn't correct the problem...however...they renigged on that... I am scheduled for major heart surgery on 6/19 and 6/21 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville... So far I have missed at least 5 calls from the hospital, my doctors and my insurance company... These are critical and are truly life and death calls... Schedules and pre-op procedures change and I have to be able to take these calls...enough said...I could go on...but the bottom line it that Ingrid at the local store nor anyone at their 800 # could care less...I'm not kidding!!! I could go on...but...I chose to go to Sprint and they bought me out of my phone contract and signed me up with Sprint...I've never been happier...thanks Sprint... Spectrum...you should be ashamed of yourself... I like the tv service but I think something is wrong with their internet services being that as I attempt to watch a whole episode of Dc universe' Doom Patrol,it buffers at random times during each episode. I rewind it a bit and it happens again at another good moment. It is definitely it my modem since my phones internet works fine. I don't even know where to start with my disappointment with this company. For this company to be so large and have so many locations their service is absolutely horrible. None of their locations have a phone so you can never call an actual location to find out if they have a certain product in stock or ask specific questions. None of the call centers have a way to communicate with any of the locations so they also cannot provide any availability information. This means that as a consumer, you will have to drive from location to location to location, wasting your time, in hopes that they have what you need. After going to multiple locations over the weekend to upgrade my 2 lines, I just walked into the 5th location (Winter Park) to be told that they have no access to the back and cannot do anything. For the life of me I can't understand why your company would have employees that cannot do any work. I cannot wait to cancel my service with this horrible company.
