Absolutely stay away from this company. They are like a bad relationship, things are great in the beginning then when the honeymoon phase is over treat you like garbage. Not only have they raised my rates, my internet is out ON AVERAGE 4 times a month. The whole right side of my house does NOT get internet if there's a tv and computer running. Of course whenever I TRY to reach these people, we go through the 30 minute troubleshooting where I get told my crappy internet is MY fault. Fact is, this company does NOT provide good internet, does NOT provide quality customer service, and then charges YOU more as they get worse month by month. Just terrible service and zero customer support. I pay for speeds up to 400 and consistently get close to 90. Nothing they do changes this and every time I show them my actual real life speeds, they send me an image of speeds near 400. So they basically are gaslighting me by saying I am really getting great speeds even though I have major lag with even basic websites. In Suffolk I am stuck with them until glo fiber is installed. If I could give a zero, I would!! I have been a customer of Spectrum back from the time they were Charter, so I've had a lifetime of disappointment with this company! Unfortunately, it has been the only internet provider in my area without going to satellite, but that's not even a choice because it is worse! I can't believe that this company has been allowed to continue to be in business, after the consistent horrible service that they provide! I pay for one of the highest internet/WiFi packages and even using eero WiFi boosters...it is still ATROCIOUS!! I love my house too much to move, but I pray to someday be able to have access to Verizon Fios!! You need to do better Spectrum!! Lord knows you have a ton of room to do so!! read more

We live in Smithfield, Va and Spectrum has been down almost every day since April 22, 2025. The service comes back up and then goes down again. Every time I call I get a response that it is not their fault. They have blamed the electric company, car crashes and the weather. Can't speak to anyone locally; keep getting people in other states. Some of their reps seem incompetent and when I ask for a supervisor I'm told that they don't have any additional information. Their service has gone down the toilet! I feel like I'm constantly getting the run around. Spectrum needs to up their game, accept responsibility and correct their problems! read more

Worst cable company consistently since cable internet was invented. My service is out at work, out at home...always out....never as fast as they sell you and ALWAYS has problems. They have a monopoly and there are no other choices. We'll, I'm looking into starlink now and other satellite options. Charte spectrum is completely unreliable and hurts our business EVERY month like clockwork. The govt should be investigating this company for false advertising and misleading claims. My internet service went out during a work meeting with the leadership of the company I work for. My wife is taking classes online and had an assignment due this weekend. And to top it off my household runs on Smart TVs. We are still waiting for service with no truthful answer about when it will be restored,but they will want their payment on time. read more

Their ability to make their scheduled appointments is awful. The only saving grace is that their field technicians are at least personable and polite. I USED to recommend Spectrum to any who would ask. I would still prefer them over the dish type network. (of which the local DEMs recently allotted MILLIONS). However, I recently found that Spectrum "made a deal" with ??????. It will no longer carry NEWSMAX unless you pay! Spectrum WILL however still stream NBC, CNN, ABC etc. Wake up folks!! This is a LATE review since I've been so busy the last couple of days.. BUT.. I went in on Monday to return all my equipment because after 6 failed attempts at reaching someone on the phone to help me change service - I was DONE! i was pressured into a $200 PLUS package with TV channels I did not want and a HOME PHONE I did not want by a salesman when I called to set up JUST WIFI in February. While I was there telling the wonderful lady LATIA (I hope I spelled her name correct) what happened to me she said I was not the first to make that complaint. She spent 35 minutes with me- FIXED the issue- gave me information on the Federal relief for $30 off WIFI (I have a teenager that does school work from home) - and set me up with ONLY what I needed. She did not try to UPSELL... she didn't try to ADD anything to make more commission off of me- SHE HELPED ME!!! I am ever so grateful that there are still people like her! Being on a budget but still needing what you need- is very hard! 100% recommend if you have issues go in person and explain- hopefully you get LATIA !!! read more

I came to drop off cable equipment. It was very clean & the staff was friendly. There was only 1 other customer there at 2 pm when I got there, so that was awesome. I was able to turn the equipment in & cancel the service at the same time with Brittany. Service was fast & I was in and out in no time. This seems to be the only Spectrum store in the area at present. It is in a new shopping center shared with Chartway, Jimmy Johns, Dunkin Donuts, and others. read more

Spectrum (the company) is terrible. WiFi was barely functioning. I have been trying to close this account for my father who passed away. The hoops I had to jump through!!! They expected me to travel 100+ miles to return the equipment. Instead I found a spectrum serviceman who never recorded that the equipment was returned. After lots of back and forth, it was determined that the equipment was indeed returned but it was late. So they charged me an additional $500. I would rather resort to sending smoke signals then use this company if it were the last one remaining on the planet. read more

It's Friday evening, I'm home sick and I can not watch anything because there's been a outage in my area AGAIN since 1 pm today. We should be paying $10 a month for garbage service like this. The do not tell you that they refuse to prorate. They do not give discounts to existing customers. Even though they have prorated bills in the past the will not now even though they do not disclose this to you. Do not use them as a business because they have shitty business practices. You will pay for an entire month of service for only a couple days of use. Waste of money. read more

Spectrum is THEE WORST SERVICE that I Have ever had IN MY LIFE!!! The Wi-Fi is Bipolar and just cuts out at any given random moment!! The Spectrum App on Roku constantly buffer! Charter was better before Spectrum when you could set reminders on your DVR while recording multiple movies and still watch something different. if someone from the store would reach out to me so I can speak with someone and talk to someone instead of their terrible call center I would take back everything I said and take this comment down. But let me start this by saying WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. The people at the store are nice my problem isn't with them but THE COMPANY SPECTRUM ITSELF IS THE PROBLEM. I switched to spectrum and have been plagued with issues since I joined their mobile service. The "ease of use" is non existent. I've had internet issues phone issues and You cannot contact the stores directly to resolve them or even find out what is in stock at the locations for one. Also When you have a mobile plan you have to go to the store for an early upgrade. When I was with Verizon if I wanted an upgrade they mail me the phone and I send them my old one when I finish transferring everything . Now this wouldn't be as serious if I could...you know.... CALL THE STORE to make sure the phone I want is in stock. Instead I have to gamble and waste gas driving back and forth to see if my phones are in stock. Why don't you pre order it or reserve one you might ask? You can't. If you want to upgrade your phone you physically must drive to the store and do it in person. Which is really a hassle because I work and also since I have moved and now the closest store to me is this one which is over 2 hours away. They could simply fix this by allowing customers to be able to contact the store or let them upgrade their phone from home or even order the phone to their home then drive to the store to complete the upgrade rather than gamble your gas and time going back and forth trying to figure it out. Again my complaint is with the way spectrum handles business to their "valued customers" not the store itself because the people who work here are nice people. If someone from the store could reach out to me and help me solve my issue because I have a simple solution and this will help someone get a sale at the store on top of that I will gladly change my review. I've contacted them several times and had them come out at least four times over the past year and a half to do something about their unreliable signal. LENGTHY troubleshooting, multiple swapping of cables, modems, connectors, etc, and I am STILL getting constant service interruptions during the day. Their fixes work for a little while, but inevitably in a couple months the same problems come creeping back. Literally as I type I've had the signal drop 10 times in as many minutes, and that's just today. While I can't necessarily fault the customer service representatives (they've been really helpful and friendly), the overall experience has just been crap. I can barely stream a single episode, much less participate in a work conference call or play an online game. Spectrum, get your crap together and fix your reliability issues. Don't know why I'm paying $250 a month just for the disappointment. read more

Worst customer service EVER!!!!! Had to ask the tech to put his mask on when entering my home. Service is HORRIBLE!!!! Cable does NOT work right, updates every 5 mins. Have spent HOURS on the phone trying to resolve with no resolution for all my issues. AND they double charged me for services and refused to refund my money. ONLY reason I have spectrum service is because I live in the country and they are the only service. My kingdom for another service provider!!! read more
