    They keep charging when you have no service and they know it !!! They keep wanting more time /phone calls / and hope you give up

I had already paid for that month and customer service said they don't refund but immediately turned off service that's been paid for.I was told I needed to send back remotes and modems... they didn't want back the ugly satellite that's on my roof. I got another charge for the shipping and boxes they provided to send back equipment in. When I called and told them that they had a full months of service payments without the service and they are charging me for boxes that I sent back. I want them to come take down there satellite dish. she tells me the closest dealer is in another state and I would have to call them to get it removed. This company doesn't deserve to have any business! I can't stand business companies that rip off customers.

Nobody should be demanding proof of death before they release you from responsibility. My parents had Dish for 27 years and had several upgrades to their service over the years. At the time of his death they were in a contract and we asked to return the equipment. They said they needed a death certificate to prove he was gone before they would authorize a box sent out to collect their Hopper and Joeys.'     I needed to run by the Charter Store in Smithridge to return a piece of equipment. This place is a…read morebit of a joke. I think they are dealing with a lot of mismanagement. When you walk in the store is divided into sections with the emphasis on their mobile phones. Services like Internet, cable TV and related are the other end of the store. You sign in on a (filthy, even by pre-COVID standards) touch screen that was so dirty I felt like I needed to wash my hands after interacting with it. When you finally got to talk to someone they were friendly enough and tried to help but it was going to be over a 2 hour wait time just to return my Internet device. I ended up going to the UPS store to do this. It's free to drop off there - just be sure you keep your receipt. It took Charter over a week to realize the device was returned and credit the account back. Charter and companies like that get away with the lack of customer service because there isn't a lot of competition. WIth 5G and high speed satellite Internet coming online that is about to change. It will be interesting to see if that finally get's them to fix their customer service issues.

    We live in country and there are not many choices for internet. I went with Viasat out of…read morenecessity (who subcontracted to Five Star satellite for installs. The poor kid they sent out by himself with maybe a month on the job was super nice but completely uncomfortable and had no confidence in the job he was attempting to complete. He got here at 1140 am, forgot his laptop. He attempted to put the satellite on the side of the house but didn't come with proper tools (like stud finder) And was like I think I see wood! With 3 inch bolts required to hold this satellite dish up I wasn't willing to take chance of having the equipment placed on side of house with all that weight attached only to siding. So I just asked him to put it on a pole (which cost u 75$ more) then he dug first hole and said he hit water lines and had to move the pole to new location. Before I could get outside to ensure there was no damage to water pipes he had backfilled the hole. Then he said he had to crawl under house and drill hole through the floor to run wire to office where computer is located. he said it would be easier and quicker to just run it to whatever room was close to the pole He said not to worry the modem would work just fine there. Mind you he had already been here for three hours so I agreed let's get this done I have obligations that I need to attend to. I went to see how things were going and he was on phone with his supervisor but asked if I had a crescent wrench, at which time I went into the house and husband was like WT_ is going on. He then went outside talked with this kid who was still on the phone with his supervisor as his supervisor has been talking him through every step. My husband told supervisor to get his a** here instead of throwing this kid to the wolves and that we weren't paying for them to send someone out with no experience to have his supervisor walk him thru installing the system. So it is now 4pm and we wait for a supervisor. I'm not sure I would use this company for any service unless they started a program to assist new installers become competent,well trained and efficient. Hope this internet provider is worth all the inconvenience today brought. At 4:40 we called supervisor that was supposed to be on his way here but had other issues to tend to and has no plans on come to help the installer. Needless to say I will be calling Viasat Corporate office tomorrow.

Yes, I signed a 2 year contract for their 'Screaming Fast' internet, they said my kids would be able to game online with a slight half second delay. $79 per month for 20 gigs, then it slows down after the 20G is used up to a supposedly usable speed. Of course we are modern humans and enjoy internet to stream movies, do homework, work, etc.... So, I am admittedly a dummy about much far a gig goes. But I sure learned!!! We had useable internet for 5 days out of our monthly billing cycle, AT THE MOST!!!! That's when we weren't home! The shortest amount was 1 minute....yep, our PlayStation updated itself at 12 midnight and used it all up for immediately! I worked with them to try to adjust our devices and Netflix settings....we just couldn't make it work. Once the 20 gigs is used up, it's completely worthless....internet browser times out before loading. But I kept this crappy expensive service for a year, until hard financial times hit and we just could not justify it any longer, plus moving to an area with legit internet. Do you think they would waive the cancellation fee? Even after I communicated along the way that this service was not as advertised? And we were falling into financial ruin?! Nope! They automatically charged my credit card $268 and they won't even come take their horrible dish off my house! In fact, I had to climb up there to dismantle some part that they wanted sent back! (Or they'd charge me $300 more dollars). They said I could hire someone to take it down if I wasn't comfortable 20 feet up on a lThey have my credit card number. This company has no soul. They are all in India and just want your money, unable to help you use the service as advertise. They will rip you off 'Screamin' Fast'!!!!!!
