Dr. Kerr is phenomenal! He quite literally saved my life, and he is so thorough with his patients, and when he feels something is off he goes above and beyond to make sure that you're okay. He sent me to the ER as a precautionary to get an MRI to check things out and when I tell you, he had to have known! He knew. I had a severe case of hydrocephalus that would have never been found had he not followed his intuition. We got that solved and after i recovered I got my new glasses! read more

If only Zero or negative (-) stars could be given. My husband had to go twice. Had the exam, chose his glasses, and the first prescription was wrong. Couldn't see properly at all. They schedule another appointment but was a month out. Second time around the prescription was wrong again! He then asked for a refund. At which point the customer service turned from nice to downright mean and nasty. Additionally they only granted half of the cost as a refund. The reason for a half refund, some excuse of a restocking fee. Over $200 for a restocking fee for glasses that were made wrong twice and never worn. Would not recommend this place at all. read more

Went to Spectrum Optical today to look at glasses.. The receptionist was very RUDE.. she had no smile or any nice thing to say.. I think she is definitely in the WRONG job.. Should NOT be working with the public.. This is the 2nd time I have had this encounter with her.. I think her name was Riley.. This is an amazing place to find the perfect pair of frames. I ordered my glasses and was told 7-10 days - my glasses were there within 4 days and the tinting was perfect - no need for sunglasses!!! The girls and guys that took care of me were very friendly and helpful...and there was no wait for my appointment...got in within the week that i called. No complaints for this business. Well I guess I have no choice but to leave the lowest possible rating. After my last review expressing dissatisfaction with One employee they sent a letter telling me as of 30 days from the date they typed it I am banned from their entire practice. Comical. I had planned on finding a new provider anyways......but that date of banning doesn't allow for the 90 days the neurolens people give you to decide if you like the lenses or not. It also doesn't allow for their one year warranty on my glasses. I'll be contacting neurolens and the BBB. Steer clear of this practice!!!! The letter was signed by the idiot Dr Seese, who is apparently also the business owner. He failed to even offer the neurolens at my appointment with him despite my being an excellent candidate AND after a second exam there by a different dr my rx on the first pair was Wrong. Shockingly bad customer service at this practice. read more

I thought it went to a good place but I didn't. Everybody seem professional except for when they gave me my prescription to fill. I sent my prescription information out to my eyeglass provider and waited for my glasses to come. Once I put my glasses on I realize that the only person that could see out of this where is no one. The new prescription was nowhere close to what my eyes need it. To make a long story short they gave me the new prescription but the wrong information for the prescription is what they said. OK got the new information sent it out to my eyeglass vendor waited for my new glasses to come. Everything was blurry. Basically I think they gave me the wrong prescription from the start and that was never corrected. Now a year later I need to start the process again go for another evaluation to find out what my prescription really is. I thought they were awesome but it turned out this was a horrible experience because still I don't even know what my true prescription is and have to go back for another examination $120 down the drain and a lot more headaches read more

I've been going to this place since my first pair of glasses at age 10. I went to pick up a new pair of glasses and had to ask someone for help since they were all sitting around deciding on the plan for lunch and hadn't looked at my sign in note. She got them and I tried them on and it was like Christmas morning! I was so excited. I asked if I could postdate the check for tomorrow since it's pay day and things are a little tight (I had to buy $400 glasses!). "I've been coming here since I was 10," I said as she went to check. She returned seconds later with a no. They make a daily deposit. "I've been a long time customer and ignored my friend's recommendations of Zenni Optical online. I'm trying to put money in the local economy", I reasoned. Nope. I love my doctor there but can you guess where I'm going next? read more

First of all, this is a separate business from Regional Eye Associates. If you like your eye exam, then take your prescription and walk out the door and go to Walmart. The staff at Spectrum are all nice but are not dedicated at customer satisfaction. My husband and I both ordered glasses on the same day and they were both "off" due to optician error. They were able to adjust his nose piece to fit higher on his nose but my frame did not have a nosepiece so they sent them back to be redone. Since my frames were bigger than what I'm used to (they are progressive and the reading level at the bottom of the frame is not there), I wanted to discuss changing to smaller frames but that was not an option in this case. Do not recommend. Poor communication and expensive frames. I came here to purchase frames based on the overall terrific reviews. Other people may have had great experiences, but I did not. When trying on frames, I was rushed and felt as if I was wasting the store clerks' time, although I did purchase frames and lenses for $500 which I paid same day. I was told these glasses would be ready in 2-3 weeks, and when I called back ~ 2 week mark, was told they were not yet ready (which is fine). However, the following day a clerk called to state the glasses were back ordered and would not be in for 2.5 months. I have terrible vision and uses my glasses all day, every day. I have been walking around with glasses that are broken and taped and welded back together - hoping that they will last until these new glasses come in. Now I will need to start all over with ordering new frames and again waiting for them to come in. I asked the clerk why this back order was not mentioned when I had called the previous day, and she said she had no record that I had called. I am now following up a refund that should have been processed within 48 hours, but one week out, still no refund. They do have a variety of frames, but if you are looking for an office with good communication, this is not it. The adage states, "you get what you pay for," though for spectrum optical "you'll pay for more than you get!" I am starting over with a new office in Morgantown. read more

The receptionist when calling was very rude. I made an appointment with a doctor that I have been seeing ever since I was little. I get there and they tell me that he was not in office today. They didn't call me to reschedule or give me a notice. The doctor I saw was rude when I said I couldn't see through the lenses because they were fogged up. Overall not a good experience. read more

My glasses broke and I needed a prescription upgrade. I went to Spectrum Optical to get my glasses fixed and to get a new prescription as I had 2 friends who referred me there. The doctor didn't even examine my eyes for lenses, he said I needed cataract surgery. He referred me to Regional Eye Associates who at least listened to me and wrote a new lens prescription. BOTH of them let me walk out with broken glasses. When I went to Walmart Optical; after being incredibly helpful in picking out frames - Abby took one look at my glasses and said "Would you like me to fix them? It will only take a sec." And it did. Spectrum and REA let me walk around for a month and a half with broken glasses and weak lenses. And I had to pay for 2 pricey eye exams. They should credit me one as THEY screwed up. And I guess it was for the best, as their frames were incredibly expensive. Total cost at Walmart: $120. Don't go to Spectrum. read more

These eye-care professionals speak your language! If you are reading this review because you're in need of glasses or contact lenses or anything to do with your eyes, this is the most professional operation in the mid-Atlantic. By the time my Humana regional mgr referred me to them, I'd been through a horrible experience at a different establishment in Cumberland MD, and when calling around it seemed no-one could (or wanted to) answer a couple simple questions. When I called Spectrum, they were not only very professional but very courteous and assuring. I needed post-cataract eyewear and I wanted an RGP contact lens; that was my first question and without a runaround about it the optician said that yes, they not only handle them they carry an extensive line of all types of contacts. Cataract removal is traumatic enough as it is, but the folks at Spectrum put me completely at ease and Dr Cindy Zwolensky not only knows her craft, she listens to her patients with empathy and can explain things easily without insulting your intelligence...a rare quality these days. They work well with their neighbors at Regional Eye Assoc but I'm sure they'll work equally well with whoever your current doctor is. Let me put it this way: instead of telling you what you need and corralling you into it (especially soft contact lenses, because they are extremely expensive and you have to buy them frequently), they educate you on your options and let you make an informed decision. The fact they go out of their way to be cheerful is an added bonus, and they go the extra mile to accommodate the Covid-19 restrictions. In my case, my 'good' eye deteriorated while I was waiting to follow up from my first eyeglass fitting, so they guided me through the other cataract removal and new glasses following that. What would have been a two week process has been 7 months (no fault of theirs) and I made it through with little difficulty and will continue to see them for handling my glaucoma. I highly recommend them for all of your eye needs as your first and last stop. read more
