If you are this mall, you have to checkout Cultures loaded box. The food is extremely good. Good customer service.

Not being from the Wild and Wonderful state, my ignorance was tested.

I was enlightened by the atmosphere of the Morgantown Mall. The aroma of many food courts and the generous selection of CD's in the FYE store are all quirks. However, there weren't any ping pong balls with the ping pong tables! What the heck's wrong?! You'll get your five stars once you address this issue. If not, I guess it's BYOB--bring your own balls.

The Wong's Wok at the mall food court has bubble tea! Now Morgantown Mall is one of my favorites, I'll definitely stop here for bubble tea if I drive by :)

The poor guy in front of us spent $53 on food and tickets for a matinee for 3 people! I think it's for their convenience!!

We went to the movies here. They have stadium seating, which I was not expecting, but prefer. I was really ticked because "for my convenience" they were only selling tickets at the snack bar. We had just eaten, so I didn't find this convenient. Convenient would've been a couple of computer kiosks in which I could've slid a credit card. ~Christine Zellers CEO, LBDC

People, seriously, they need to take "mall" off this moniker…read more I have been to Morgantown on a handful of occasions and decided that on this trip I would find a nearby mall and just walk around with no real agenda. So when I did a search on Yelp to find a nearby mall, this was the nearest and I made my way here. One of two things will pop into your mind when you pull in here. 1) This is a big mall. 2) This use to be a big mall. The former will pop in your head if you are an optimist due to the fact that this place is huge in space. Plenty of parking and it just looks gigantic when pulling up here. The latter will pop in your head if you are like me. Why? Because you can tell at one point that the mall suffered some losses in business and they tried to regain momentum and added a Wal-Mart onto the mall. How am I certain of this? Even though the exterior of this place is one solid, sad shade of grey, a Wal-Mart outline is a hard thing to miss. This was my first time visiting here, and most likely my last (I don't see a long-lasting future for this building). Confusion could be a shared experience here for a first timer. When you exit your car you have a feeling that you might actually be at a strip mall as there are storefronts that line the sidewalk. I have been to "malls" like that before, where everything is outside, but not like this. Once you walk inside you are either transported back to a time where time stopped, or you are looking at one big huge time capsule. Instead of boarding up/closing off storefronts here, they basically just left them the way they were. The monotonous paint job continues inside, but this time with a whiter shade of pale. If you want a game to play while walking the dead hallways here, try "What Store Was Here?" Don't let my ramblings discourage you from visiting here, there are actually a few stores on premise. Albeit they are thrift stores and not actually mall stores. And there is one eatery that I can remember. This place is more on the lines of being a big senior center and/or corporate office complex. Seriously, I'm not lying there. One end of this has a Mylan office and a majority of the other end is an offshoot of WVU. In between you have multiple storefronts as the county senior center. So if you want a hot dog, walk indoors to avoid the weather, or just marvel at what once was; this is your spot. Otherwise, go to the real mall in this area.

If they had a website or active Facebook page explaining what services are inside, they'd go a long…read moreway. Transparency is key... There's little in the way of shopping here. But what they've managed to do with a mall whose tenants deserted them, is really impressive. There's more occupied storefronts than not. Art studio, thrift shop supporting Animal Friends, weekly weight watcher meetings, a great hot dog joint, a custom sign maker, a variety of professional offices, a gym, a boxing studio, and they've even leased anchor space to larger businesses for entire offices. The mall is also very clean and well taken care of. Is it a 'mall' in the traditional sense? Absolutely not. Is it worth walking around just to check out some of these community minded places that have found an affordable, clean, convenient home for their dedicated customers. It's just different. To give 1 star assumes it was their fault all the old stores left. They're making a viable effort to continue existing by reinventing the traditional mall concept.

The Loft Outlet store is nice and new, very clean and very organized. The sales going on when I visited were great - i went for the "buy one tee, get two free" promo. But their concept of having 2-3 customer service desks with 1 cashier each is just ridiculous. I had to return an item I bought online. I stood in line at one location, but had to leave because the cashier had to call the manager about something and told everyone waiting we would be better off going to another desk. Went to another location and stood in line for 10 minutes because the cashier was new and the people in front of me were exchanging items. The cashier said she was told she wouldn't be left alone while training, but here she was. Finally, another cashier came over to help me. And once she saw that I had an online purchase, told me she couldn't help me and I needed to go to the home department. I went to the home department only to encounter another line with no cashier. What should've taken 10 minutes, took about 30. Ridiculous.

Essentially, the store was opened to students who could peruse the store and get in on discounts and sales. I can't fault everything that happened to be just JCP's fault, as WVU had issues with transport and organization, but it was very disorganized and the sales weren't entirely clear. However, the WVU volunteers were very helpful to my experience and the ladies at the Sephora station, who were actually from another location, were fantastic. In turn, the JCP employee's were short and rude with me and other student. For example, I was in line at the waiting room with fellow students and over the winter break a family member had gotten me a JCP gift card that was purchased at the location in Parkersburg WV at the Sephora. Basically, it's a JCP giftcard but as black in white stripes and can be used at any JCP location (but not sephoras like the design would indicate). An employee, who I suppose was eavesdropping, interrupts me and asks to see my card and upon looking at the front snaps that there is no Sephora (which, I knew) and that I could not use it there. I told her that according to the terms on the back I could and then she took it from me and read it over before huffing and giving it back. Another employee at checkout also treated me like a child when I asked for clarification about a sign. After that, I put the item I was going to buy because I didn't appreciate being treated like an idiot. Overall, the JCP employees didn't seem at all happy that there store was inhabited by more than 3 people at one time for an extended period of time and I even overheard one worker complain heatedly to what I guess is her manager about how much trouble the event was. During my other visits the store were lackluster at best. Most times, I can't even seem to find an employee unless I stand at the checkout. Business also seems to be pretty dead so I guess they don't need a lot of staff. I will not be supporting this JC Penney in the future and I wouldn't recommend it unless you enjoy being ignored or treated like a burden
