This was the first time at the Mall for me. They have a JC Penney's, Dunham's Sporting Goods, Bath and Body Works, Children's Place, AMC Movie theater, Hot Topics, Rue 21, The Shoe Dept Encore, Victoria's Secret, several restaurants, a very lovely mall. Clean well maintained and slightly busy. The restrooms were clean and staff at various stores friendly. I definitely recommend and I will go back again. read more

Loved it! Went to AMC theatre twice and some stores. I will visit again. Parking is neat.

I was enlightened by the atmosphere of the Morgantown Mall. The aroma of many food courts and the generous selection of CD's in the FYE store are all quirks. However, there weren't any ping pong balls with the ping pong tables! What the heck's wrong?! You'll get your five stars once you address this issue. If not, I guess it's BYOB--bring your own balls. read more

Obviously the better mall to go to in Morgantown. And honestly what you would expect when in a town that has a very large university in it's premise. All the typical stores you would expect to find in a mall are within. You can tell that this mall has adapted over the years to sustain in this economy. Where you would happen upon a mall of similar size in a similar area just isn't fairing as well. I'm honestly surprised that this hasn't been replaced by another mall just yet in this area. It's kind of a weird setup this mall has. It's kind of one corridor...if you were to walk with a drunken stagger. Might I add that this can be dangerous with the "train" that the kids ride around the common walkways. The food court is what you would expect for a mall. A little bit of everything that kind or crosses over onto each other's menus. Don't expect to waste a whole day here as it's not a hangout place like other malls. It is kind of like one of those places that you hurry into, grab your item and then leave. read more

Absolutely no atmosphere, Christmas or otherwise .... Sad shell of what it used to be. By and large there are very few friendly employees working in the Mall stores, not sure if that's a picture of retail workers in the country or the Mall workers. They certainly could use some quality stores; Kohl's, H&M, The Home Goods Store, Marshall's, Pandora, Hallmark, American Greetings, a Bank, a Restaurant, Bookstore, etc - there are so many options. Need a Department Store, (Penny's is starting to look like Sears before they left - not much inventory). Boscov's would be a great addition. read more

This is definitely a college town mall. Typical young-ish stores like Forever 21, VS, Hot Topic, etc. Small and old and run-downish. If you're a college student looking for a slutty, cheaply made outfit for a frat party, this place is for you. read more

We went to the movies here. They have stadium seating, which I was not expecting, but prefer. I was really ticked because "for my convenience" they were only selling tickets at the snack bar. The store was outdated and un appealing. Not a very good selection. Was not impressed compared to other Shoe Departments i have been in.

Well this simple college town has a simple mall. It's a place you can go and get the basics! It's really nice and later out really decent there is no express but I guess that I can live with out an express. The food court is ok. The movie theater is dated and needs some serious updating especially for being attached to the only mall in this city. I did not care for most of the stores at this mall, but I bought a nice shirt for a very low price from Belk, and I saw a movie in the cinema. The mall was clean and felt safe. Employees treated customers well. The parking lot had plenty of parking. read more

For Morgantown, this mall is just enough. It has a lot of decent stores, and it's always very clean. The lines in the food court can be discouraging at times, but overall, I always had a good shopping experience here. read more

Nice play area just inside the entrance close to the JC Penny. The play area is average size with a couple of soft slides and objects to crawl over. Plenty of comfortable seats sit and play on your phone while the kid plays. They have a train that runs around the mall as well. The bathrooms were nasty. My wife didn't even want to change the kid in the bathrooms and chose our car instead. The men's wasn't too bad and they should keep them clean because entry are right beside the management office. The food court has the usually like aunti Annes, ice cream place, gloriajean coffee, and Charley's subs is coming in. The inside of the mall is pretty clean looking with large centers for walking through the mall. They have JC Penny, Belk, and the rest of e small little stores. We came here because we needed 40-45 minutes of playtime for our little one during our travels to Maryland. It worked well and wasn't too crowded. read more

This is pretty much your main option for mall shopping in Morgantown. The place itself is pretty small on the scale of most malls, but it does have quite a few stores and is very nice for meandering and browsing. The food court has an Auntie Anne's, a Chick-fil-A, Subway, Charley's, a hotdog shop, a couple Asian options, and a coffee place. There's plenty to choose from for the noms. It's also nice to have a movie theater attached. The theater isn't the nicest in town, but it's definitely a plus for the mall. read more

Back in they day, there was some disparity between 'the old mall' and 'the new mall.' In the past decade, the Morgantown Mall (the new one), has secured its preeminent position in that respect. There's a decent selection of stores and food available, including a movie theatre. One of the fun attractions is a motorized train which takes children and family around the shopping center. The mall is only on one floor, so there's no accessibility issues here. Four Horseman Comics holds down the requirements of gamers in town. The only think lacking is a good book store. read more

Many stores have closed that were fairly popular or found in bigger malls or shut down all together. This mall has been persistently ignored by its owner for years. It's been lagging behind in updates and renovations to keep the public interested and coming back. Many stores Morgantown can accommodate are not chased after by the management team and the company who oversees the property. Poor mall management decisions have turned stores against each other fighting over space to expand or move to and upgraded facilities and protection from the elements for the public and mall employees have consistently been ignored. New coverings for the entrances and re-routing the mall road to handle more traffic and provide people the options of parking elsewhere or at other ends are overlooked as this mall continues to miss every opportunity given to it as the city of Morgantown continues its explosive population and business growth. Many stores inside are well known and are ran very well. Everyone's favorite Bath and Body Works, American Eagle, Buckle and Victoria's Secret call the inside home. Recently moved and expanded Shoe Department Now called Shoe Department Encore will help expand their limited selection in their newly expanded space. AT&T's move will definitely help provide foot traffic to a moderate/slow section of the mall as in most malls the Sears corridor is usually not seen as the best place to be. Macy's is a much needed tenant to help separate Morgantown Mall from its nearby competitor malls and would expand the better goods that are not offered in the current anchors. Belk is an oddity anchor and is the company's northern most store. It's slogan about southern style is a complete turn off but the store offers a limited selection of brands and their own brands. The space its in is dated and dirty and is in need of major updates to keep current. JC Penny and Sears are also reeling from dated interior and exteriors with JC Penny being more likely to update its interior than Sears it would be long overdue. Stores like Sephora and Lush and the like are surprisingly absent from the mall's interior and are two of the highest requested stores along with Aerie and Victoria Secret's Pink store. New VS renovations should remedy the absence of the Pink section but also enhance an already abnormally small store that's been screaming for space for years. Time will tell if this management can bring the expected renovations and updates the public have been screaming for. Torrid recently opened. Still waiting on mall management to add more stores that cater to men or to both men and women. Similar sized or smaller malls in Maryland like Fredrick and Hagerstown both feature H&M stores that would do very well in Morgantown. Updates to JC Penny have been put off as the store waits for the mall to clean up its mess with heating and cooling and the neglected parking lot. read more

Why is it that all the activities in malls and such in West Virginia always seem depressing and rather outdated? Today, we ended up coming into this mall and shopped for a little while at both the Shoe Department and Kitchen Collection stores (only one of those two we New Yorker's recognize, but were on vacation so we tried it), as well as buying some sandwiches at Subway and some other lunch needs at Chick-fil-A and Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt, and no matter where we went - this mall was rather dead with the occasional walker. Wide spaces filled the gaps in between and it seemed like we'd pass others every 10 minutes. While we asked a center vendor (it was some cell vendor, but that vendor's name isn't important) when things picked up - to which he said would begin between 11 and 1 (and we just happened to overlap this), I don't think he was telling the truth - but that's not the case here. About the biggest stuff I saw here were Sears and J.C.Penny. And to top it off, I surely didn't see a customer service booth to ask for information in this mall. It would have occurred to me that, with July 4th coming upon us today (July 2nd), we should've seen more walkers around this mall, but it was rather dead. I won't be back in West Virginia for the longest time, so don't expect me to be back here. read more

I love the Morgantown Mall, but my sister and I just had the worst customer service at Country Elegance. The employee kept acting like we were going to steal something. She kept telling us that people have cut the ties on necklaces and the jewelry we were looking at had to be put back in the exact same place. We said "ok, we get it." She kept on hovering over us and repeating the same thing over and over. We said, "We're not going to steal anything or cut any ties. We promise!" She simply would not stop. She said how she had been trained in customer service. She was extremely rude and sarcastic. My sister and I decided not to purchase anything so she lost two sales. I only wish the manager had been there. It's a shame because I have been there numerous times and have always been treated in a very respectful manner, but not today. read more

I love the Morgantown Mall and feel they are constantly striving to update it and make it a great shopping experience. The mall gets 5 stars but my experience in Country Elegance gets ZERO stars. My sister and I went into Country Elegance a couple days ago. There was a young girl working behind the register probably in her upper teens. My sister and I were looking at the Ginger Snap necklaces as I have a necklace and several snap in charms and I wanted to purchase several more. She asked if she could help us and I said I have one of the necklaces on display here and I'd like to purchase several more charms but I'd like to see how they look on the necklace. She immediately went into a tirade about how people keep cutting the zip ties and stealing the necklaces and she would have to get the charms out of a case because people keep stealing those as well.The charms that I was interested in were accessible so I started snapping in and out several different charms to see how they looked on the necklace I have. It is very embellished and sometimes the charms get lost in the embellishment. The next thing we knew she was standing behind us hovering over us then she scolded me in a very loud voice stating those charms have to be put back EXACTLY where you got them from and then she shoved some kind of a diagram in front of me. She started on again about all the theft and pilferage. I looked at her and said okay we get it we're not here to steal anything but she would not let up. I have no idea what possessed me to continue looking and pick out two charms. I pointed out the two I would like to purchase and she ripped them off of the display. ( I have no idea where this secret case was she kept talking about) On her way up to the register she just kept on about the theft in the pilferage and The Cutting of the zip ties and on and on and on. I finally said you know if I didn't really want these so bad I would just leave them here and say forget it and in the most sarcastic voice you can even imagine she said WELL ISN'T THAT HILARIOUS I said okay I've had enough I'm not interested in purchasing anything here I'll just go online and buy them then she yelled at me THEY'LL BE DOUBLE! I said I don't really care I said I wish your manager was here and she turned around and grabbed the phone and said no problem I'll call her.I said you know what I don't really want to waste anymore of my time here and that point my sister had already put back what she was going to purchase as well and as we turn to leave the store she yelled towards us again and a very sarcastic voice HAVE A NICE DAY. I'VE BEEN TRAINED IN CUSTOMER SERVICE! I wanted to add that I am a Customer Service Manager for a major airline and this was a disgrace. This girl is obviously working her first job and has absolutely no clue. She needs constant supervision or she is going to ruin this place. I really hope this gets sent to the manager of the store. read more
