In 30 years with this company and paying $90 a month for the last 2 years I have never been offered a deal. After speaking with your customer service several times in regards to the compromised service I continually had, I was never once offered a reduced rate or deduction in my monthly payment. Now that you finally have competition, which I have gone with as of last week, you now send me this information for a lesser rate. As a consumer, it's insulting to know that I was treated this way and received this information after several attempts to remedy your faults with our systems. Iif anyone reading this review has any option to leave spectrum and go with another company I encourage you to do it . My decision has proved extremely successful in the streaming of Internet to my home services. #gonetspeed

Terrible experience!! On a 2 years HP PC wanted to switch from an HDD disk to a SSD to get more…read morespeed. Brought it to Moose's and my computer was butchered. I receive a message stating that perhaps during transportation my screen got damaged. I had used my all-in-one HP PC 10 minutes prior to bringing it to Moose's and it was fine. Since it was butchered asked for my money back and my butchered computer back as well. I asked the guy if he could copy my files from the hard drive, but he told me to buy a cable and copy them myself. So, I offered to pay $20 if he would copy them on to a Toshiba external drive. He accepted but also said he could not put the hard drive back in my PC. I got everything back and, to my greatest supply none of the files I needed were copied but just a bunch of stuff of no value to me. I called the guy up and he said he had seen the same stuff, but he never mentioned anything when I got everything back. Took my PC to a real repairing store and they explained me how the screen was improperly removed to get to the drive therefore causing the screen failure. Also, this real repair store was able to read the hard drive and told me that my files were in there. I had told the Moose's guy that thing happen and not to worry about. I was ok with that and had bought a new PC in between so that I could transfer the data from my old hard drive. Anyway, since I was given a bunch of lies, I feel compelled to write about what has happened. This is no manner to treat customers and furthermore if you don't know how to pry open a computer screen you shouldn't attempt to do it. Because of that between a new PC and the insurance I had to spend $1,100. Never again I'll have anything to do with this business and Yelp should not recommend it either.

However, their packages and speeds are seriously limited and outdated. As a heavy user of download and upload $110 a month for only 100 download by 10 upload is seriously disappointing. Had Spectrum been allowed into the area I would have switched long ago, solely due to the fact that they offer more robust packages like 400 down by 20 up for $85/mo and even up to 940 down by 40 up, for $110/mo. As time goes forward more smart devices that use bandwidth are being connected and 100/10 just doesn't cut it for powerhouse users. The most frustrating part is even their business lines offer only up to 125 download for a base price of $195 before taxes and fees, and NO increase in upload at all which is disheartening. Some people in the area want more out of a local ISP and they can't offer what we need, especially as some of us work from home and need more throughput without the fear of bottlenecking or dropping. This is honestly a reason that I have considered leaving the area, because I can't get what I need out of them. I will say that when the service goes out it can be a bit of a hassle trying to get your issue fixed. If you call after office hours you are outsourced to a call center which typically results in having to call back again during office hours to get a tech scheduled and then come out to look at your problem. However, if you call during office hours depending on how severe the issue is you may be able to get a tech out same day. Just be sure to know specifically what is going on and what issue you are having otherwise the diagnosis may take a while. Everyone that works at the company is a pleasure to talk to, and is very helpful but it definitely has that small-town company feel to it so some restrictions will definitely be in place. If you don't do a lot of file sharing on line and just want to do basic browsing and some video services then you should be fine.
