I finally paid collections. I'd not recommend MyEyeDr. They really ripped me off IMO and wasted an hour or more of my time on phone calls.

Yesterday I went in for an adjustment on new glasses I did not buy there this year, and was told that regardless of me being a regular patient/customer, they would Not adjust my glasses unless I paid a 35.00 fee. I wear progressive lenses and reading area is usually just a matter of adjusting how high or low the frames are sitting. I've had this adjustment done dozens of times with eyeglasses or lenses I have bought from them! The young lady, I think Melissa is her name (?), was pretty forceful telling me, No. She wouldn't do it because it was a lens issue and I didn't buy my lenses from them. So, I paid the 35.00 fee and "begged" her to try adjusting the fit. She said okay and if no improvement she would just refund my 35.00. Well, guess what? She fixed the issue but I told her they were the same. She said, "Fine. I'll give you a refund." End of discussion!! Ok. Bye. I will NEVER be back.

I require prisms to correct double vision both horizontal and vertical. I need correction for astigmatism and bifocal. This is something most eye doctors don't see in their entire career. Given the option, my teen declined the eye dilation. We were then informed that the exam would not continue without eye dilation. If this is a required part of the exam, we should not have been given a choice. Additionally, Jennifer Sitko berated my teen for not remembering that they had been told two years ago that they would need eye dilation at their next visit. It's unreasonable to expect a teenager to remember such information from two years ago. Moreover, as the guardian, I should have been reminded about the dilation requirement when the appointment was made if it was mandatory for the exam. Jennifer Sitko refused to perform the eye exam because my teenager declined the optional eye dilation. We will never return to MyEyeDr.

It had been a few years since i purchased new glasses and i decided it was time to go to any eye…read moredoctor to see if my vision changed any and if i should purchase them. Glasses aren't cheap, and certainly i try to extend the life of my glasses as much as possible. I always try to buy great frames and get lens with all the bells and whistles including transitions etc. The better the quality, the more likely they can last you a few years. I have had both good and bad experiences at other eye doctors and eye care centers when buying glasses down in my old home town in Miami, FL. Since i am new to Van Wert, i tried looking up places near my home for reviews. Sadly, not a lot of info. So i decided to roll the dice and i called Van Wert Family Eye Care to make appointments for my entire family. Glad i came! Beautiful place, friendly staff! I was very glad to find the name brand frames i am used to shopping/buying, especially Nike. What impressed me the most was how high tech this place was! So besides the normal eye exam and eye dilation etc, they take a picture of your eyes using a special camera. It was fascinating when my eye doctor showed me a picture of my eyes and did an in depth explanation on what is going on... both good and bad. I learned a lot! This was definitely something i had not seen anywhere else. In retrospect, wish i had gotten a copy of the picture. My other major surprise was both the time and price to get my new eye glasses. Like i mentioned in the beginning of my review, eye glasses are expensive! I was expecting a high price but found that it was half of what i would normally pay in my old eye care center! I also got my new glasses in a few weeks (two if i remember correctly)instead of well over a month-month and a half in my old place.
