I needed the screen on my iPhone 5C replaced so that I could take it on vacation, so I yelped and this place showed up first. I called first and was quoted one price and he willingly negotiated to charge me $5 less than the quote. I hopped in my car and was excited that I found a place that was cheap. I was confused when I turned into an apartment complex instead of a business, but oh well. I met with a guy that was really pleasant, and he said because of some irrelevant reason he'd have to renig on the discounted price he was willing to give me over the phone. That was annoying but okay whatever. He fixed my phone and I waited in my car and I paid him and all was well. It wasn't even a week yet before my screen started to trip out, buttons were selecting themselves and at times the screen was not responsive to my touch. I could hardly use my phone mind you I was on vacation and really really needed this phone. He's lucky I ended up losing the same phone on the last day of vacation because I couldn't wait to call him once I got home..I WANT MY MONEY BACK! This is a home office and the gentleman who worked on my iphone 7 was very polite over the phone. The price he quotes does not include tax. In person the transaction felt a bit awkward, he takes your phone and you must wait outside until he is done. You can pay with a credit card which is a plus. The actual installation I can't complain. I haven't had any issues 1day later. However, the quality of the screen is of a cheaper quality and honestly should not even be paired with an IPhone 7. The screen makes my once vibrant pictures look faded and grainy. He doesn't give you any forewarning. When I mentioned it to him, he says " oh, I guess I should have said something about that". Yes, yes you should have. He says the vibrant, crisper screens are only sold at the Apple Store. My husband and I both got our screens fixed, so it is double the disappointment. I know he is running a business, but at least be honest. So I subtracted a star for customer service and another one for the product. read more

The repair guy was courteous and responsive through the text messages. I came for a broken iPhone screen replacement. The business is actually in an appartment/condo complex, so there's no waiting area other than sitting in your car in the parking lot. After about 30-40 min wait, I received the iPhone with the replaced screen (non-oem). It seemed like it was done well. However, I did notice light bleeding on the edges of the screen. I didn't contact him about it, until a month or so after my entire screen starting popping off the phone. I contacted Specter repairs about it. He was once again helpful to take a look at it. However, since this wasn't within the "15 day warranty", I had to pay for the service. He came out with my phone and my screen now completely detached, and basically told me he completely broke the screen and that now I would need to replace the whole screen. Of course this wasn't free and I had to pay again. Which I did with a small discount. I received a non-OEM screen. Now, I have issues with the mute button and a gap that's left between the screen and the phone (both in the same area), which once again due to travels I did not contact within the first 15 days and he claims no responsibility for these issues. I have not dropped the phone or inserted anything between the screen and the phone (which would be the only way to make that gap) since, so the only possibility would be the repairs. Overall, Specter iPhone Repair is friendly and responsive, but due to the location, the quality of the parts & work and the support after, I would not recommend or use their service again. I can almost guarantee you will experience some kind of issue with the screen within the coming months. read more
