Several months ago I initiated an eye exam with a doctor Mullner, and it resulted in my being sent over to Craig the eyeglass person on the premises. He proceeded to sort of coerce me into getting a pair of glasses according to her prescription that had transitional capabilities, that were progressive, and it ended up costing me 860 some odd dollars for the pair of glasses and everything that went with it. Many weeks later, I went back for the glasses and they were not comfortable. I could not see distance properly. I could not get used to the transitional aspect of it and I tried; so I complained. I had a re-exam by Dr. Mullner and she accused me of being angry, which I wasn't. I was just straight to the point that the glasses were not adequate... that I needed to be reevaluated. I went back to Craig and tried to negotiate for at least a credit, but to no avail he claim that he can't lose money, bear in mind that I lost money here on inadequate glasses. He redid the glasses with only the ability for me to read. There was no other paid for feature except transitions. I then proceeded to dispute this with my credit card company and low and behold after a valiant fight, I lost the battle so I now have to pay the 800+ dollars on my credit card for glasses that were no good and people that were extremely rude and selfish. I would strongly recommend that nobody use An eye to the future facility. The people, especially Dr. Mullner and Craig who makes the glasses, were mean and nasty and not accommodating. I hope this has impacted a few people.

They told me progressive lenses would be the perfect fit for me and that I would no longer need to take off my glasses to read. They also was tried to sell me computer glasses! I told them that I don't want scratch resistance; but after I got home I noticed that I got billed for that. I had to call the store and go back to get a refund. I was all excited when I picked up my new glasses. I was just handed the glasses and was not fitted; the tech had their dinner in front of them and seemed too busy to help. I tried it for about a week and hated my new glasses. The progressive part was useless and got me very dizzy. I went back and was told that they just need to be fitted. I tried it for about another week and with the same problems. They were useless to read with. I spent good $$$ for these progressive lenses. One problem I had was watching tv while reclining on the couch or laying in bed; everything was blurry and was getting a stiff neck to make it clear. So I go back to the store and told about my tv problem and the tech said "You can't wear your new glasses while watching tv reclining or in bed". I then asked how do I watch tv; she had no answer! I always needed glasses to watch TV. They ended up giving me a new basic lenses without the progressive; but was told there was no refund! The basic lenses would of been covered by my insurance. I never heard of progressive lenses before; wish I researched them before I went. I think I know more now then the techs at the store. I was never told about different types/sizes of progressive lenses. Wasted a ton of my time and I will never go back!!! UPDATE: The day after I did the customer review on their website; I get a call from them apologizing and they would refund me the $175 extra I paid for the progressive lenses. Why couldn't they just do this the first time?

Good: Location is convenient…read moreOptometrist is excellent Place is very clean Bad: It is very inefficient It should not take more than an hour to get the prescription when you show up ten minutes before your appointment. Ugly: Glasses are very expensive. You can get glasses for 1/4 the price at Costco. Sales people are very aggressive. Overall, go there for the eye doctor only.

I have nothing but praise for them. This past visit I was at the front desk to pay my copay, asked if they could use my card on file and they said they couldn't they needed the physical card. I off hand mentioned I don't have it, I left it in my room, and I should get it. I used a different card and then began leaving. My ride told me they were delayed as I opened the door so I opted to sit in the office to wait by the door. What happened next leads me to believe that they thought I left. After one of the front desk members received a phone call from a patient they hung up, and began speaking negatively about said patient, which I hate to say I have heard before from the front desk. Then they began on myself, saying "and this one saying how he can't find his card in his filthy room, you're a grown a$$ man with gray hair, why do I have to hear that." So at this point I sat up straighter and I believe one of them noticed me as the conversation shifted. When my ride arrived I simply went up to the front desk, told them I will not be returning, and that if they are going to talk about someone they should make sure they are not in the room first, and then left. So if you go to Opthalmic Physicians of Monmouth, just know that the front desk WILL be speaking negatively about you. I am disappointed in the lack of professionalism, I understand everyone can have a hard day and express frustration however this is a pattern I have noticed from the front desk.
