I bought some tile that was discontinued and which matched my existing bathroom floor. Initially picked out a hex pattern tile for the shower floor. Frustration with sales help whose communication skills were not anticipatory. Perhaps she told me that the hex wasn't in stock, don't recall that, or that the 12 x 12 was not available, don't recall that either. Waited about 35 minutes to talk with someone. Fine, I didn't have an appointment. When I placed the order a few days later, I was told there was no bull nose available, so went with a metal trim, which worked out fine but was not in stock. Had to go to the Best Friend Rd. warehouse to pick up the tile - an entire box was broken so the helpful man at warehouse found an identical tile for me with different number. He deserves an A+. The order placed for the shower floor and filled at the Norcross location was insufficient by one-half - fortunately, I actually looked at what they loaded in the car or I would have had to go back there to get the rest of it. Went back in to the backroom, where people are actually helpful, and got what I needed added to the order. Then had to go to a third place to pick up the metal trim. Had to ask the sales person for printed directions to both places and got the "can't you use GPS?" A lot of driving around in the rain because items were not in stock. Good points are that the sales person did work to help me get the compromise second choice items that I needed, which worked out very well. Recommend going to either the Norcross or Miami Circle showroom. Great selection, but web site is frustrating. Also, stores are not open on Saturdays, which should be made clear on the website. Prices seem good, especially if you get a sale item. Check out any discontinued items for better deals, but they are limited and not clearly reviewable - in a corner of the showroom. I don't recall the sales staff thanking me for my business. All in all, a lot of frustration, partly my own fault for thinking tile would be available. I imagine that the people who special order and the tile is delayed are even more frustrated. I would suggest that for all tile considered that availability be clearly set forth. Sales people should anticipate, not just respond to specific questions. That's true help. The return policy may be somewhat justified on discontinued items, but I have an unopened second bag of grout that cost $37 which I would like to return. read more
