As always, Araceli greeted us warmly and asked how we were doing. Mysty always has a huge smile and warm greeting, and today - she had some hair tricks (Thanks, Mysty!). We were told that the usual provider was not in today - what we were not told was that the ABSOLUTE best provider ever was about to walk into the exam room. Kristen Buchanan was like a breath of fresh air. For the first time when meeting with the provider, my granddaughter did not cry at all. She had a few tears later in the visit when she was given her shots. Even then, she only cried for a few minutes then calmed down. Kristen was so very kind and knowledgeable. She provided much needed information to my daughter for the next stages in eating, language and physical development. Safe to say, my daughter and granddaughter were completely at ease and had the best visit ever! Thank you, Kristen, Mysty and Araceli for making today so wonderful. 1 year check-up and shots are no joke! We so appreciate the kindness and great care that you all provide. As a doctor you should know how to conduct yourself in a more professional manner. 10 minutes after my orignal review posted the Dr called me. Before 8 AM. "Hello, I saw your review, I sent a text to our billing department and they will reach out. If you owe us, we will keep the money. If not we will refund it." Thank you for the update. It is crazy to get a bill 4 years later *side note a week later billing hadn't reached out and insurance said they didnt have a claim from this practice in 2021.* At that point the Dr did a 180 in tone, raised his voice and threw professionalism out the window. "We work really hard for all of our good reviews. You are just a keyboard warrior writing bad reviews and there is nothing I can do to have your review taken down". I said "excuse me. I wrote my experience with your practice." Instead of saying "I will talk to my team to get invoices sent out in a timely manner" you call me a keyboard warrior for writing a review about my experience with your practice. Original review: Brought my son here one time in '21. Visit went smoothly. 3 months later we got a bill. I called with questions, left multiple voicemails with no response. I finally got in touch with someone, I forget the specifics since this was 4 years ago, but they said they would write it off since it was an error on their side. May of 2025 we get the bill again. I thought it was a bill for a recent ER visit so I paid it. 2 days later I realized it was a bill from 2021 for this office. My mistake for not paying attention, but dirty business practice on their part. Years later you send a bill?

My son was born around Thanksgiving so when my son was newborn & offices were closed for the holiday but Dr. Aurora still insisted us coming in during his closed hours, he truly is a very passionate, caring doctor. Anytime I call they can get my son in within that same day, they are so flexible with our schedule. He is a very reassuring doctor for any questions I ever have. Even for the small stuff when my son has ever been slightly sick & I feel unsure if I should bring him in they always give no hesitation for me to bring him in anyways to be safe. My son loves going to the office too all the staff is so friendly & welcoming. We are so thankful for Dr. Aurora & his crew!

0 STARS!!!…read more Absolutely disgusted by the way this pediatric office treated my best friend after she literally JUST gave birth. A woman who was FIVE DAYS POSTPARTUM called to schedule her newborn daughter's first appointment and instead of compassion, professionalism, or basic human decency, she was interrogated and invalidated because she's married to a woman. After explaining that she and her wife are BOTH the baby's mothers, she was repeatedly placed on hold and then told she would need "permission" from her wife to bring HER OWN CHILD to appointments or consent to medical care. They even told her adoption paperwork would eventually be required -- despite the fact that she carried and delivered this baby herself and BOTH parents are legally listed on the birth certificate. Imagine being hormonal, exhausted, physically recovering from childbirth, trying to take care of your newborn, and having a medical office basically tell you that you aren't recognized as your child's real parent. It is ignorant. It is discriminatory. It is unacceptable. No family should ever be treated this way, especially by people working in healthcare. LGBTQ+ families deserve the same respect and recognition as everyone else, and the fact that this office made a new mother cry during one of the most vulnerable moments of her life is beyond unprofessional. Do better. Train your staff. Learn the law. And stop traumatizing new parents.

It was rare to be able to see the same provider more than 1-2 times, so continuity of care was lacking. Medical assistants appeared miserable, not friendly or smiling. They would administer vaccines in a very cold manner, with little effort to try to soothe or connect with my child. We didn't know better, being first time parents, and they convinced us to have our son's circumcision performed there. We wish we didn't. Unfortunately, what's done is done. The experience was what we consider traumatic; for us and our son. We figured out later that the provider didn't do a good job. They should have referred us to a urologist. Our new pediatrician referred us to a urologist to have our 2nd son's procedure done and it was a completely different & much better experience and outcome. In the past year or 2, I was using this office as a back up to our new pediatrician since they are open on Saturdays. That is, until they turned our newborn baby away. They canceled on us within an hour of our appointment. I was actually ready to get my family in the car when the receptionist called. They wanted me to verbally commit to using them as my son's primary care provider before they would allow me to keep the appointment I made. I would not commit at the time, so the receptionist canceled my appointment, stating that "because the provider has not seen him before" they would be unable to see him for his appointment that day (a Saturday). That sounded like a made up reason to me. My newborn was 2-3 weeks old at the time & had uncomplicated birth/no medical conditions, so not much medical history was available that could have possibly helped them better understand his acute condition (upper respiratory infection) that I could see. I had to ask the receptionist what I should do with my really sick newborn since they refused to see him. She admitted she was unsure, but that maybe I could try an urgent care. I went to an urgent care out of desperation and learned they do not take newborns. FYI, I learned from the urgent care, your best bet in this situation is to go to an emergency dept like at Phoenix Children's. I felt so alone and stressed because of this horrible experience. This told me everything I needed to know about this business.
