I called specialty carburetors and spoke to Carlos Rosario. I have been having a terrible time trying to make my 1985 GMC 1500 4x4 run properly with the stock rochester carburetor. Now, my truck is a truck that is not without it's flaws. It has the partridge family color package from the 70's and 80's, its multi colored so lets just say, the truck looks like it is in need odf some serious love. I am in the middle of changing all of the fenders (inner and outer) both doors or the owner just doesn't know when to call it a day and move onto something else with less issues, my truck needs paint, needs carb work etc. There is a point to this little tidbit of information provided. I called Carlos Rosario at Specialty carburetor on Algie blvd, we spoke for a few minutes and Carlos decided that the best thing to do at this point was to bring it down for him to have a look in person. I drove it down and within minutes of my arrival, Mr Rosario was under the hood of my rusty ole truck and picking at the vacuum lines making sure I didnt screw up since I was the guy that routed them. Lets just say, a couple hours later, Carlos had my truck running better than it has ever run, no more stumbling, no more hesitating, all 4 barrells actually opened up when it's time to pass someone. All in all, I could never be happier with the beautiful work that Carlos did on my truck. If you need one of the best..(if not the best) carburetor guru's in the business. Call Specialty carburetors a call.
