This is an Incredibly Amazing Auto Repair Shop! The two things I dread the most is having to take my car in for maintenance & repairs, due to past bad experiences. I have been looking for an honest & reliable auto repair shop for 5 years now, ever since I have moved to Las Vegas. A co- worker of mine referred me to Specialized Auto Care, she told me she & her family have been going there for years & they all were always very satisfied & to ask for Dale. I was told Dale is professional, honest, reasonably priced & does superior quality work. So I called & spoke with Dale & made an appointment for the next day. Upon arrival I explained to Dale the issue I was having with my car. We walked outside to my car & he asked me to open the hood & start the car. He immediately knew exactly what the problem was & fixed it right then & there. I was very impressed & totally shocked, I was thinking that's it!? Usually it's we'll take the car & put it on a lift & this is what's wrong & later you get the call, your car also needs other work done & it will cost $$$$. Then all of a sudden a couple days later or so something else is wrong with the car, geese I'm thinking huh, that wasn't a problem before & now it's back to the shop again. I know now that what my co-worker told me was very true. I feel I now have finally found an honest repair shop to take my car to. I would also highly recommend this auto shop to anyone who is looking for an honest & reparable auto shop on the West-side of town. Thank You, Dale! I look forward to being one of your new customers for years to come. read more

Reliable, and Honest!! My friend recommended this place to me when my Jeep decided to have a midlife crisis. I really thought I was about to have a $700 bill, and it ended up being $120. We took out Hyundai here recently because it sounded like death when we were driving it, found out the catalytic converter had been stolen. They sourced a cheaper replacement and saved us a few hundred dollars on the repair bill. I've recommended this place to any of my friends who have had car issues and will continue to do so. More people need to know about this hidden gem! read more

WARNING!!! PLEASE READ BEFORE HAVING THIS BUSINESS SERVICE YOUR VEHICLE! My 65 yr old Mom asked me to find her a reliable, and trustworthy mechanic. So thru a little research I found Specialized Auto Care. Their reviews here on Yelp, and Google were both 5 stars. So we decided this is where we will have my Moms 06 PT Cruiser serviced. It was running rough, and the check engine light was flashing. So we dropped it off with the request of whatever it is, fix it please. (This shop is ran only by 2 men. We were advised upfront that repairs, and or diagnostics can be slightly delayed compared to other shops with more employees. That's totally fine with me, as long they are honest, and do excellent work.) After I think a day, and a half after dropping it off, we were called with the prognosis.... They initially claimed it needed a "valve job". Long story short, the motor had to be taken apart, and certain parts would be sent to a "machine shop" as they dont do that in house. Anyway they said the repairs will be approximately $2,500.00, and will be completed in a weeks time. We said fine let's get it done. After 8 days we got the car back. And upon driving it home , IT HAD THE SAME FUCKING SYMPTOMS STILL!!!!! Its still running rough and the check engine light has come back on! We just paid this place two thousand five hundred dollars!!! Are you kidding me!!! This review is not finished yet, as we are still trying to get this mechanic to fix what is wrong with the car without any additional charges. We went back today, and were told that the owner/mechanic is out with the flu. To be continued...... And also, during the time my Moms car was in this shop being serviced, my sister had a problem with squealing brakes in her Chevy Suburban. She brought it to them, and they quoted her $400.00 to fix the problem. Luckily she decided to get a 2nd opinion. She went to Brake Masters, and low and behold, they fixed it FOR FREE!! Can you believe that! Brake Masters told her that there were some little clips that her husband forgot to install in the pads when he recently changed them at home. Once again it was free of charge. Whereas Specialized Auto quoted a whopping $400.00!!! This mechanic is NOT HONEST! They scammed my elderly parents out of $2500.00 !! And now they are refusing to fix whatever is still wrong with the car without us paying MORE MONEY! The moral of this story is please please get a second opinion! Hell get a 3rd opinion! DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE WE DID, AND GO SOLELY OFF THE GOOD REVIEWS YOU SEE ONLINE! read more

We brought our car in today to have the brakes checked. We left it with them at 8 in the morning and within a couple of hours they gave us a call. Told us that there is nothing wrong with the brakes that is probably just Dustin sand from the Red Road. They easily could have told us we need a break time we wouldn't have known the difference. It's nice to find an honest auto mechanic. They definitely have our business now. read more

Best and most affordable tire installation! Super friendly service! I'll recommend any day

I was recommended this shop by an old co worker, probably one of the dumbest decisions I could of made by going to a "smaller shop" and trusting they would actually fix my car instead of just adding coolant and charging me 118.00 I'm surprised they don't hand you lube along with the receipt. read more

Been using them for years. Since 2016 they can no longer repair anything. Car leaves with more problems then came in with. They use cheap parts, fluids and leave things unconnected and or just broke parts in engine. . . Sure they will try to fix you problem. But do you have time to return your car there 4 or more times for a simple repair. read more

These guys have got to be the best and most trustworthy mechanics in town. I've been taking my car to them for about 6 years now and they've always given me good prices and been upfront about if it's something that needs to be fixed right away or not. They've also never come up with some random problem so they can charge me a bunch of money. As a female in my early 20s I'm sure it's easy as a mechanic to rip me off and it's so great to have a mechanic I can trust. read more

Needed to get my rotors and pads installed. Dale gave me a competitor quote and got it done in a few hours with no strings attached. He was highly recommend by everyone I talked to and I can definitely see why. Will be back. read more

Excellent service, super fair pricing- I trust them and have been going to only them for several years now.

This is the 2nd time that I've brought my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee to Dale and his team (different issues each time). I made the pilgrimage from Henderson to the West Side of town....This is how good they are! I appreciate their timeliness, fairness and the pricing is very reasonable. Dale was recommended to me from a family friend who also had a great experience! Thanks Dale! read more

You'll likely be dealing with Dale who will be a refreshing change from most shops. He does amazing work and will not charge you a dime more than required to fix your vehicle and keep his shop open. I was quoted over $300 for a thermostat replacement at Ted Weins took it to specialized auto care and Dale did it for $120.50. Since the part was actually 120 on rock auto I can only come to the conclusion he charged me 50 cents in labor.... Maybe he had an extra or got a deal on them in bulk but either way I couldn't even have done it myself for cheaper considering shipping costs! I can honestly say I have no need to shop around anymore this is my mechanic. Also if he can't do it he will refer you to another trustworthy place that can, in my case it was advanced mufflers right up the street which also received a 5 star review from me. Last thing, never go to a Ted Wiens/Firestone. read more

Dale and Bob run a two man shop. They do not gouge you and rake you over the coals. They get your car up and running so you aren't long without it. Highly recommend!!! read more

I'm completely shocked and amazed at the level of service that I just received at this repair shop. Our 04 Jeep Wrangler out of no where was making a lot of clanking noises and was looking what looked like to be oil or possibly transmission fluid. I'm not car saavy whatsoever so I really am at the mercy of mechanic shops when it comes to the recommendations and repairs of my car. I had to have the vehicle to one auto shop in town (Sun Auto off of Stephanie Street in Henderson) upon arriving I waited almost five hours and had to call them to find out what was going on with my Jeep. At first estimate the mechanic Vince stated that my jeep was going to need completely new brakes/rotors in the front, knuckle that holds the steering column, and a brake fluid flush. I requested to not get a flush as I heard that type of thing is completely unnecessary. He didn't like to hear that I didn't want that service and proceeded to tell me that the entire cost of the repair was going to be $667. I couldn't believe that price as I have had bad experiences at other Sun Auto locations. I reached out to my Dad who recommended Bob and Dale over at Specialized Auto Care. He mentioned that when every other shop was giving him the run around and trying to overcharge that they would always give him a straight answer with what was going on with his vehicle. I then had my car towed over to this shop and the tow truck company was over an hour late. Dale stayed an hour and 15 minutes after closing to receive my vehicle, mind you, it was the one rainy day in Vegas. lol The next morning at 10 am Dale gave me a ring and let me know that there were a few bolts that had been stripped and they replaced those with one other part. He let me know the noise was gone and everything was working great! Magically, the Jeep was fixed and not for $667... but it only cost less than $200!! I'm still taken aback from the amount of great customer service I have received from Specialized Auto Care (specifically Dale) and am so thankful to not have to spend any more money on a car that we have spent thousands on already. Dale, thank you! You have a longtime customer in me! read more

This is the best auto shop I've ever used. They are excellent mechanics and above all honest. You won't have someone who specializes in oil changes work on your car. I have a 97 Infiniti that was loosing coolant. After 2 water pumps and 2 oil pan gaskets at other local tire shops I still had coolant loss. Thankfully I found specialized. They found the leak the first time. I have been using them now for about 3 years and will continue to. Make an appointment they are always busy. Very reasonably priced specialy for the level of service read more

Dale is a refreshing change from the general mechanic population I'm used to. After a referral from a friend, I called Dale with a car problem that I had already taken to 3 other mechanics. These other mechanics all told me different reasons my car was having trouble, gave me high quotes, and long wait times to help me fix it. I called Dale at 8am on a weekday and he took my car in that same afternoon, fixed it, explained it to me, and gave me a good price within 1 hour. I cannot refer him enough!! read more

I have been taking my cars to Dale for years at the recommendation of someone. He is honest and doesn't add unneeded repairs. He gives honest quotes and gets repairs done in a timely manner. I live across town but make the trek over any time I need a repair. I won't take my car anywhere else. If he can't fix it he will refer you to a trusted colleague who can. I can't recommend specialized auto care enough. read more

Dale is one of a kind. So knowledgeable and fair. We have been bringing our vehicles there for a number of years. He is thorough and you won't find a mechanic more honest than Dale. He always finds the problem and fixes it. read more

If you're looking for the last of the honest mechanics, look no further. I had an issue with my car shutting off after 15 minutes and the last mechanic thought it was an injector issue and had me do a fuel injector cleaning. The problem never went away so I came here and talked to Dale. Dale took a few hours and let me know that it was a fuel pump and had it running like a top in no time! read more

Like a cool drink in a dry and thirsty land, Dale and his team are a refreshing change from the mercenary and sometimes dishonest mechanics you often come across these days. I failed smog and took my car in to Dale feeling a little apprehensive, but I had taken my car there a couple times before and he has always done solid work at a very fair price so at least I knew whatever he told me would be the truth and I would be getting a good deal. Sure enough he fixed all my smog issues, passed the smog test for me and recharged my a/c all for $133. Another place had quoted me $240 just to do the recharge. Every now and then in life you come across people who are very good at what they do and still charge incredibly reasonable rates, and they give you some hope for humanity. Dale is such a man. read more
