I think they started in Las Vegas and then opened branches/troupes in various cities, Boston being one of them. Performance artists who did some crazy tricks, played unconventional PVC tube type instruments to rhythmic tribal beats, and had the uncanny habit of making audience members be a part of the show and feel nervous. The band was above the stage, oddly, on a platform above where the tricks and performance artists were. The music was OK, but after hearing two or three songs you realize the music all sounds pretty much the same. The band was a music-only/non-vocal four piece band: Chapman Stick, Bass, Keyboards, and Drums. The show was OK. The company bought us the ticket, after we had lunch in Central Square, Cambridge, and we all met up at Park Street Station and walked over to some theater. I never would have gone on my own accord, but it was a company event. If you've seen it once there is no reason to see it twice, good but not that captivating. Thing is, that really struck me as odd and trashy... the tickets were not cheap, in fact back then it was $55.00. But as we all exited, two of the band members were at the exit doors with these big buckets looking for donations/tips. I've never seen that before.

They still had a lot of the same acts that still stand and bring lots of laughs as well as new and hilarious ones. This time I was sitting in the fourth row, pancho section which was perfectly close enough to the stage, but not too close where I was cranking my neck. I don't wanna spoil any thing from the show, but here are some helpful tips: - if you can, get middle section poncho seats - if you're in the poncho section, dress light! it gets hot under there - the music is amazing and loud! (They provide ear protection by request). - they also provide masks - boosters available for the littles - have a special occasion? You can contact them 48 hours before the show to have a special LED message displayed. - post show meet & greet for additional $$ - bathrooms are super clean as well as the waiting area - merch available - Bar with small snacks and lots of seating in the waiting area Bring the whole family it's very kid friendly and they will have an awesome time ! Street Parking not that great and be careful of parking on Tremont as there is tour bus parking after 6 PM and they will tow! Lots of lots available, where you can also pre-pay

On maternity leave and needing companionship, Jessie becomes fast friends with her neighbor, Lina who is also a new mom. Another set of neighbors with a newborn provide complexity and spice to the issues and action. This comedy is deep and honest about the lived experiences of new mothers. The issues addressed are both contemporary and timeless. An excellent 4-person cast delivers witty dialogue with impeccable timing. The acting is note-perfect and maintains emotional intensity. See it!

After we decided between paper and electronic programs, we were walked over to the stage and directed to sit higher up if we had lawn chairs, and lower if we did not. The show started on time at 8pm with the sun already tucked away. And as it went on, the sky grew a pink glow, and darkened, as electric lights took their place. Through it all, the play went on, even as planes intermittedly (loudly) flew by overhead from Logan Airport. After all, the show must go on! Though the stage was small, the cast of 10 made do on the stage, and awaited visibly in the wings when they were not in the scene. Sure, we had difficulties hearing whenever there was a plan going by, but that did not stop me from enjoying an evening out (OUT) at the theater.

My roommate played that game in college almost 30 years ago. Lets just say there are some surprises about what the woman learns about her sister and herself It is also very funny, somewhat sad at times and thought provoking throughout. This is a result of the script being well written(by a man, no less) and extremely well acted by the entire cast I do not normally go to plays or theater in general, but Company One just may change my mind.....Highly recommended

We scheduled a private class with two members of the Rogue Burlesque troupe (Brandywine and Lily…read moreBordeaux) for a friend's bachelorette party. It was absolutely awesome! They were such great instructors and the class was really well structured - they covered everything from basic moves to walks, personas and twirling tassels. They kicked it off with a routine (which blew our minds and also gave a good introduction to those who hadn't seen burlesque before) and talked about burlesque as a celebration of sexuality, art, performance, etc. They coached us through practicing all the moves. It was very comfortable, not embarrassing at all. And so much fun, especially if you have a couple drinks before. The instructors rented a dance studio at the Armory in Somerville, which was a great space. I would highly recommend ensuring that the studio you rent has a mirror. I can't imagine doing the class otherwise, it really helps to see what you're doing! If you go to the Armory, check out Highland Kitchen for drinks before - it's just a couple blocks away and has an awesome cocktail menu. We only had two thoughts that they could do to improve the class - one would be to write out a list of tips for us to leave with, so we don't forget (they had so many great pointers it was hard to remember them all). And the other was maybe to teach us a routine. The end of the class was just freestyle (which was totally fun), but we agreed that it would have been fun to learn a short routine.

We chose the eight-piece band -- three vocalists, guitar, drums, keyboard, and a three-piece horn section -- and it was the perfect lineup. The dance floor was packed from the very first song to the last. Beyond their incredible talent, what truly impressed us was the care they put into personalizing the night. They learned several special songs just for us, including "Maybe I'm Amazed" for our first dance, all of our parent dances, and "Wagon Wheel" for a college tradition. At midnight, they even led the entire room in Happy Birthday when my husband turned 31 -- such a fun and unforgettable moment. The vocalists came out onto the dance floor throughout the night, engaging with guests and keeping the energy high. So many people told us it was the best wedding band they've ever experienced -- and we completely agree.

The cast were professionally superb as well as the orchestra. The ambiance of the staging costumes and props were phenomenal! They converted an ice hockey rink to circus and the creative director here went all the way! The Boston Lyric Opera have done a tremendous work using social media to target younger audiences and the general public. Opera was once considered an elitist bougie show for The aristocrats and royalty... Not anymore... it is for everyone! Good job Boston Lyric Opera.
