I wish I could give less stars than 1... I was devastated to see how much of her ear had been cut off. I trusted this clinic to treat my cat with care.. I understand ear tipping can be done for barn cats, but this looks like far more than it should be. I showed the photos to my vet today, and they told me the ear was cut way too short. Surprisingly I was able to snag an appointment the same week. I was really nervous since this was going to be the first surgery my pup had and she's under 6 lbs, but I loved that all the instructions I received were super clear. We pulled up to our spot and waited less than 5 mins before a technician came out. As soon as I handed her off they were so sweet chatting with her and I could tell she was going to be in good hands. Like the instructions said, a payment link was sent in the afternoon and it was easy to checkout. Pickup was easy too and I loved that they not only gave verbal instructions but also written (great for my forgetfulness). Her incision was very small and looked clean, I could tell my pup felt a million times better the next day since she was back to her usual energy levels again and we had to refrain her play. **tip that I wish I did if I scheduled the appt more in advance: order a few soft dog cones/donuts/surgical suits in advance to find what will work best. I unfortunately had a terrible experience at Spay Today. I took both of my dogs in for their annual vaccine appointments and the staff was extremely unprofessional and gave both of my dogs the wrong vaccines. This terrified me and they had to watch my dogs to make sure that they didn't have a bad reaction or God forbird something even worse. The appointment should have taken less then 20 minutes which had turned into over two hours of a scary experience. When the vet came out to tell me I was speechless and couldn't even believe it and was frozen in fear. I never received a sincere apology from the nurse/ technician who did it. I can not believe that it happen to both of my dogs. Thank God my dogs are both ok but I have never been more scared. The clinic looked very dirty and not well managed. Everything was going without incident until I went to pick up my 40lb Spaniel after she got spayed . I was billed an additional 25$ because she had a large uterus. Yea you read that right. I thought large Uteres's were covered in the fee. I dont care if her uterus is the size of Texas I paid an agreed upon amount for them to spay my dog. Our experience with Spay Today was nothing short of wonderful! It was incredibly easy to schedule, and I received all the information I needed ahead of time so I would know how to prepare for the appointment and how to care for my dog (Buster) following his surgery. I especially appreciated the information on surgery suits to avoid having to use the "cone of shame" and the opportunity to get pain and anxiety meds for Buster in case he needed them. When I arrived on his morning of surgery, staff was quick to come out, went over all the information with me, and treated both Buster and me with kindness and respect. Today I had my puppy neutered and thought everything was all good with him! But once he sat next to me all I could smell was poop and wasn't long after that I noticed all the dry hard poop stuck in his tail and back of his legs! Also his back paw pad took at least 15 minutes of scrubbing to get all of the poop off of them! I understand puppies get scared and they do this sort of thing! But why couldn't you guys even try to clean him? He was in your care for 8 hours! I know you can't let them out to use the bathroom but he clearly was sitting in his own poop for a long time if not the whole time! Medication billed separately) I started to do more research to make sure it was a decent price point, somehow I stumbled across this clinic on google with amazing reviews and an amazing price. i love how seamless their process is, i was able to schedule that same day through their website. my cat has been spayed and everything went perfect. everything was all worry-free considering my cat was a bite risk and scratch risk since she doesn't do well in unfamiliar situations where she doesn't feel completely comfortable but the clinic was able to accommodate for her. amazing clinic, with very helpful and sweet staff. I cannot say enough great things about this center. The welcoming staff is very friendly/nice/knowledgeable. The doctor Carolyn Karrh is incredible. She saved my little chihuahua girl Cupcake from cancer. My little boy chihuahua Rooky can't stop talking about doctor Karrh and invents reasons to want to go back. They put spread cheese on the floor to vaccinate dogs. I have not found the courage to tell my other 2 dogs (Poms) who got vaccinated elsewhere and got no cheese!!! They are professional, incredible, dedicated. I can not recommend them enough Please consider donating like I did. They need to keep doing what they do because they rock at it!!! read more

So pleased with the experience I recently had here after taking my 7 month old puppy to get spayed! Apparently Covid made it super difficult to get an appointment for my puppy to get spayed at her regular Vet's office but was able to get in at SpayToday within a month after booking. Not to mention the cost was going to be half of what her Vet quoted. This is a nonprofit organization that primarily focuses on spay and neuter appointments at a low cost to the public to ensure everyone can afford to get their animals fixed. Not to mention, since this is their primary focus they are really good at what they do so you can be rest assured your fur baby is in good hands! Eli was amazing with Graycee from the second we pulled up for her appointment until the minute we drove off after picking her up! He LOVES animals and mine can be a handful but she was smitten the second she hopped out of the car to meet him. He took the time to review what to expect after surgery and instantly bonded with my little girl which made me feel at ease leaving her there for the day. My dog also has skin sensitivity issues so he took the time to explain what she should and shouldn't eat and even went back in the clinic to get some literature that outlined human medications acceptable for pets. He came from a similar role in Texas helping spay and neuter pets and is so passionate about his job! I'm glad Graycee found a buddy she was comfortable with during such a big surgery! SpayToday is lucky to have him and I'm fortunate he was the one who was taking care of Graycee! Highly recommend this place! I went to SpayToday because it was included with the adoption of my puppy. Otherwise I world have gone to a local vet up here in Summit County. They were responsive by email ahead of time. They were very friendly, professional and efficient. Evening went smoothly. Two days before my appointment, I read a bunch of reviews. While most were great, there were a few that really concerned me. I certainly don't want to roll the dice with the safety and the life of my dog. But the good reviews FAR outweighed the bad so I felt safe. I am giving 4 stars instead of five for two reasons: (1) While the online booking was simple, I had a very long wait for an appointment. Maybe opening on Mondays would alleviate the long wait. (2) Mass drop-off between 7:00 and 8:00 AM is difficult. Coming from over an hour away in the mountains, I had to leave by 6:00 just in case I hit any traffic or delays. Then with mass pick-up between 4:00 and 5:00 PM, I had eight hours to kill in Denver. I guess I could have driven home and back again. I managed to make somewhat efficient use of my time throughout the day. Anyway, bottom line, I recommend them to anyone who is concerned about the quality of care from the low-cost provider. read more

This place lives up to its glowing reviews. Not only was my dog's spay affordable even with her weight being 50+ lbs, but her recovery went well and the medicines given were thoughtful for her energetic breed. Let me start by saying that I was overly afraid of having my dog spayed. Something about the idea of surgery just really stuck with me, but after some time and research I decided to have her spayed at SpayToday. I mainly chose this place because of their prices and the fact that all the primarily do is spay and neuter, so I knew that would have all the expertise needed. I am so glad we went here, the experience was wonderful. The staff is very efficient and friendly, and my dog came back with only a small incision that is healing very well. Long story short. It's been a while ago since the horrible experience. Reviewing right now, because I've been searching for a reasonably priced neuter surgery for my dog. I had taken my dog Chloe and kitty Aimee in to be spayed. The exterior of the building should have tipped me off, but like a cow being placed in the line at the slaughterhouse, I waited in the car to be allowed inside. I had to wait 3 months for the appointment. I kept the car doors locked as to being just before 7am, there were enough of "the locals" scooting around in bath robes and bare feet, and worse, the building looked like a very poorly maintained older house. So I had my kitty in her carrier taken away from me as soon as we were in the lobby. I feel like a complete jerk for not completing this review the day it happened, just to give a heads up for other owners, and they can hopefully weigh in with an educated opinion from the reviews. So the cat and carrier have disappeared. While sitting in the lobby with Chloe, the most loving, sweetest, affectionate dog I have ever seen, a real cutie, border collie mix. They were steady packing the waiting lobby full. All the dogs were picking up on each other's fear and uncertainty. Chloe was getting terrified. I went to the receptionist and I asked her to give me my cat back and I would gladly pay whatever cancellation fee that wanted. Just please give me my cat back, and wwould be running outside and visit with some of the locals in various states of undressing, while jumping into our car. The receptionist immediately told me it was too late and that they had already started Aimee's surgery, mathematically impossible. She did not even ask anyone in the back if Aimee had already had surgery started. So now Chloe is also feeling my anxiety and displeasure. It is a drive out to deep in Lakewood from where we live in Castle Rock. So I insisted in staying with Chloe until her surgery. They pushed her into a cage so small she could not sit, lean much less lay down. It was a room full of the kennels stacked 4 high, with smaller animals in the smaller kennels up. A real mess for these animals. They said because Chloe was so out of control, they would have to give her a pre op sedative. ($) after letting her have nothing by mouth, they wrapped the sedative in peanut butter on a dog biscuit. I tried once again to grab my kitty and my dog and run. In the minutes that I was upfront, they had put a big bright red tag that said "Warning...aggressive and vicious dog." on the tiny kennel that poor Chloe was crumpled up against the inside of the cage and drooling. By now, they realized I was more than unhappy with how the day was going, and had one of their lead staff come reassure me and get me to leave. She repeated that Aimee was "started" already and that she would be unable to safely discharge Chloe to go home, because she was sooo sedated. Ok, I give up and they keep the slaughter line moving along. I sat in the parking lot and had a good cry. 8 hours later I was allowed to get my 2 girls. The big tattoo that they permanently placed on Chloe's belly is always visible, and when rubbing her belly, it's a constant reminder of the SpayToday experience. Chloe has NEVER been the same since that day. Never able to take her to the regular vet without pretreating her with a calming medication, terrified of every single grooming salon we have tried. Weary of even her previously favorite dog parks, cannot handle being a group of even mellow dogs. And the dog who was once a brave, happy, trusting, loving girl who was so eager for saying hi strangers, is now traumatized by the experience that we are often needing to put a cloth muzzle on her when we take her hiking where it is likely to see other dogs and hikers. PTSD for dogs. This still hurts and seeing her in complete terror at previously non confrontational settings is heartbreaking. So now here I am trying to find a reasonably priced, but even a little caring and compassionate staff, to neuter my dog. read more

They shaved almost the entire underside of my cats stomach and legs just for a male neutering. Even if he was a girl this was still very excessive. They were cutting against the hair which causes irritation and we saw visible marks on our cats legs where they nicked him with the shaver. When we came to pick up our cat, they had walked out and tried to hand us the WRONG CAT. My advice, spend a little more money at a better location. I felt absolutely comfortable leaving my pet in their care for her operation and will be taking her babies there to be fixed too! I took my older dog to this facility six months ago and was very pleased with it. Friendly staff. Efficient process. Acceptable facility. They called me after my dog came out of surgery and gave me a status report and then again when she was ready to come home a few hours later. Smooth as can be. Fast forward to today. The place resembled a factory, packed with people dropping off their pets in the morning; I halfway expected to see a conveyor belt inside moving the pets along as they had their "junk" removed. During the day I heard nothing. No progress phone calls. Nothing at all until 5:01 p.m.when I get a call telling me to come pick up my pup because they were closed. I showed up at 5:10 and got charged $50 for late pick-up fee. Something tells me they make a bundle on that fee. And that's what's it's all about - the money. Yes, I was told to pick up the dog by 5:00, which they reminded me of several times when I gave them a hard time over it. BUT . . . they could have called or texted me as 5:00 got closer to remind me to come by 5. But NOOOOOO, that would have lost them 50 big ones, wouldn't it? Let's not think of the customer who is struggling along with everyone else with this horrible inflation and extreme difficulty making ends meet. Nope, let's just sock it to them if they show up past that set-in-stone deadline. I don't mind people making money at their business, I respect it. But nickle and diming people if they lose track of time, without at least trying to reach them before the deadline? What happened to just plain common courtesy or customer service? If they just would have taken 30 seconds to send me a text . . . "We're closing in half an hour - don't forget to pick up your dog." That would have been so simple, so easy, so considerate, so thoughtful. So not happening in 2022 when no one gives a damn about their customers anymore. $5 a minute seems excessive to me. The smugness of the staff was icing on the cake. They had time to send me two - TWO!! - emails during the day (which I noticed AFTER picking up my mutt) requesting immediate payment before I picked her up in order to avoid personal contact - oh, yes, we must avoid that nasty personal contact with the people we make money off of. Ewww. Plenty of time to ask for money, always time for that. But taking the time to remind me that time is running out? Nope. Not when there's $50 at stake. Easiest $50 ever from my pocket to theirs. When I dropped my kitten in last Friday. They literally couldn't care less about her, who she was, or what I needed to do besides pay and leave. They just threw her behind the counter and I could hear her meow for 20+ min and felt so bad for her. Luckily the surgery went well. A week later she's been throwing up twice a day and I have a lot of concern. I've called three times to this place and every time they say they'll call me. They still haven't. I read all reviews on this place before going and am sad to say they are very real and true. I hope she doesn't have some internal infection like the other reviews have said about unsterile tools, work environment, etc. Wish my kitten were a dog, they were treated 1000 times better.
