From cookbooks to sci fi, from fantasy to biographies, from adult romances to children's picture books! You could find books from the 1600s all the way until the 21st century. The Book Trader is exactly what its name says: it trades books. You can bring books, which they will give you store credit for and then you can buy books for cheaper than they would cost in a regular store. This was such a great idea, in my opinion. I traded in 2 books and bought one. Now, aside from being separated vaguely by genre and authors' works being mostly together, there is no other sorting system to this store. Books, as you can see in my pictures, are all over the place and it is very hard to walk around parts of the store. If you want a specific book...good luck! Also, make sure you have cash on you. I wasn't even touching any books!! I thought this customer service was terrible. I don't need to be lectured how to look at a book when I'm not even touching any of them after he gave me the proper way to take a book out of its sleeve, which I did correctly. Also, the book price on the sleeved book is not the same as what the sign said on top. The sign was more and he said that no prices are written on the books with a book sleeve, which was a complete lie.

Came here specifically for Cary Gitter's interview/ chat with Amy Feltman about Cary Gitter's debut novel. I really like the layout of the shop, the way the books are displayed, the diverse offerings of holiday books for children, and the way they fit the folding chairs to attend the author event. Really nice staff and cute items sold in the front. Support local bookshops!
