I wanted light blond highlights and I did not want to color all of my hair. I did not want chunks of blond. No idea about length or style. She had the patience of a saint and took the time to perfectly blend my hair, cut and style it so I look ten years younger. Lovely place, clean, friendly and very, very professional.

I suggested i could reschedule and come back another time and they said no they would take care of me. They need work on customer service and how to welcome their customers. They didnt charge me which i was thankful for but i think they didnt because they recognized the poor service and bad cut i was left with. I will not be back after this horrible experience nor would i recommend. 1

A friend recommended I try Dathan Hunter Salon so I stopped by and checked it out, it's in a great spot in the downtown area, there is parking nearby and some of my favorite shops too. The salon was modern and clean and they had adorable dogs so I made an appointment with Ilyana. I ran a little late for my appointment but they forgave me, I enjoyed the experience and Ilyana did a fantastic job picking up where my previous stylist left off and my hair looks better than ever. I made my next appointment before I left and am delighted to have found a new spot for getting all prettied up.

She told me exactly what she was doing as she cut my hair. How considerate of her. She took her time and nailed the style. She gave me great instructions on using a diffuser with curl-defining cream. (It's a great product, it was not a hard sell) I would have never thought to try it on my very straight hair. The scalp massage with shampoo felt amazing! There were other women in the salon, I was very impressed by their color and cuts. I have several acquaintances who use this salon. Their hair always looks great. The salon has a nice vibe, it's clean and stylish. Dathan and Ilyana are warm and friendly. It was a pleasure to get a cut. The shop is very convenient to the ferry if you live on the islands. A big plus for me! The price was reasonable.

They were open when it was allowed and were following the protocols. They had an opening with Kayla, who I knew so thought, let's do it. Due to COVId street parking is a bit easier, but do plan ahead for parking. Once we return to a new normal. They ask you the standards questions and you enter with a mask and you wash your hands. Kayla was great. We discussed options and she got to work. We had good conversation and in no time the cut was over. I like that she gave me a cool textured look on top and it's been always to style since I left. The space is great. Spacious and decorated with old signs, and knick knacks. Pretty cool. You pay over the phone so there is limited touch. It's pretty cool. My usual stylist moved, so needed to find someone new. Sad to change but happy with what I found. Went in for a clean up and after talking with Sierra she made a few suggestions and being open to possibilities, I said "let's do it!" Immediately, I knew I was going to like it. Sierra is so positive and it was a great experience. A Bang Experience. I love my hair and the suggestions for hair care and style options just added to the experience. You just got to give it a try. That said - this facility is amazing. It is a beautiful new building with all the amenities you could want at a salon. They have a beautiful waiting area with a full line of products. They have a nice receptionist who will offer you coffee, tea, water or even wine - all complimentary- upon arrival. Now - on to the point of my review. I have been going to see Aimee Daniel for my hair upkeep for just over 3 years now. And, frankly - my hair has never looked better. The reality is that I can't tell a hair stylist what it is I'm looking for because I don't know how to ask. But, as I've built a relationship with Aimee, she has learned what I like and don't like. And, I have built a level of trust with her where I can honestly say - you do what you think is best. And, I know that when I leave, I will feel great about my hair and how it looks. I truly wish I could have her "do" my hair every day - because it always looks best when she does it. In addition to great hair cuts - she has also been giving me highlights - which is no easy task when you have dark brown hair like I do. She has figured out how to get blond throughout - and how to keep it from turning orange with time. It's truly wonderful. And, FYI - she is a blond expert, so if you have or want blond hair and are looking for someone to give you your best blond - visit Aimee! She will not disappoint you!

The salon has a wonderful vibe and esthetic for young women to discover their style and explore different hairstyles. The people who work there are friendly and welcoming. They pay attention to each customer's specific needs, making sure to care for them in a way that feels comfortable and easy so they can be themselves. Every time my daughter has an appointment she leaves feeling so good about herself, and is so happy - this is a such a gift! The appointment scheduling is easy, and they do text appointment reminders and confirmations, and it is easy to reschedule if needed. The prices are the average of what one would pay anywhere for hair services...they definitely are not more expensive than other places. The only slightly negative thing is they do seem to recommend a lot of hair products...and at our last visit...they recommended $150 worth of products...and one product...a small bottle of some kind of styling gel was $53 by itself. This seems a bit excessive. When I declined to purchase, there was no attitude or pressure to reconsider....Thank goodness!
