This Hy-Vee is huge by small town standards, so learning the grocery store takes a bit more time here. We found everything we needed, but it did take a little more time to figure it all out. I like that Hy-Vee Liquors is attached to the main store and that the wine and beer selection is really good. In hindsight, we over shopped, maybe because we were hungry after a long drive. Our cart did include a bag of chips which were reasonable priced. Check-out was chatty and efficient, and soon we were on our way. Touch up shopping would be done later at the Spirit Lake Hy-Vee.

I discovered this store when driving by and saw a good price on Chuck Roasts on their electronic billboard. We stopped and I bought a bunch of meat to freeze. Very good beef and pork so far. They have a in-store bakery, deli, small produce department, and a good selection of merchandise. Some prices are high, but like I said I come to stock up on sale items. Have been back several times.
