Over the past four years, they have let us down repeatedly. It is heartbreaking to see a once-mighty business decline so completely. The owner should be ashamed of herself. She squandered all the goodwill that others had worked so hard to build over the years. There will no longer be chocolate lollipops on Halloween for the neighborhood kids. There will no longer be a local business filling my family's Christmas fudge order. The once-bright shop is now a dark and dreary place. Most of the candy jars are empty. The shelves are barren. I'm hoping clarification on the expiration dates will be labeled in the future, but it is my bad for not asking as well. To the owner: thank you for the clarification and apologies for my harshness and misunderstanding. To others interested in going here: there is great selection of candy and treats here along with novelty items. This is certainly a place catered towards kids, so do be sure to ask about which novelty items are authentic or are replicas before you buy them. What caused me to rate them a three is the massive bulk candy wall which was $16.95/lb. I chose a few options to sample with the intention of returning if the options were fresh. I got four types - green paint ball, buttered popcorn jelly belly, cherry strips, and blue raspberry strips. THEY ARE ALL STALE, some so stale they're inedible. This tells me that the store doesn't refresh the bins or clean them much. For that reason alone, I'd find my candy elsewhere.
