I had to go back a week later when my tire pressure light came on and John came out in the rain to refill the air and explained to me exactly how to get the light off after I drove it a bit. Since I had a package of bulbs, I was told it would be better to replace both sides, which I agreed to. Then I was told that two smaller bulbs also looked like they were about to go out and that replacing them would be another $10. I agreed, bringing the amount to $25. When it was time to pay, I was charged an additional $10 shop fee and another $5 in labor, bringing the total to $40. What really upset me was that shortly after I drove away, the left-side brake light went out. I had to turn around and return to the shop so they could fix the problem. I left feeling like I was charged for things I wasn't expecting and that the situation wasn't handled transparently. As a woman who doesn't know as much about cars as a mechanic does, I expected to be treated fairly and honestly--not made to feel like my lack of automotive knowledge could be taken advantage of. In 2026, businesses should understand that treating customers this way--women or anyone else--is bad business. I will not be returning to Midas, and I hope they take customer concerns like this seriously.
