I brought my small VERY overdue & dirty hatchback in for a full service wash. The car wash itself was gentle and thorough enough that I did not have to worry about my loose bumpers being damaged further, and my car is sparkling clean on the outside. The inside was full of pet hair and sticky residue, and the staff did an amazing job cleaning it all up. My car looked & smelled almost as good as the day I got it off the lot. Over priced and doesn't pay attention to details (interior). This is my first time coming to this location, so I gave the full service #1 a try. I needed my exterior wash and interior vacuumed and wiped down! Everything took less than 15 minutes, which I really find it hard to believe you can wipe down and vacuum thoroughly within a short amount of time... If I paid $35 for a full service, my expectation is really high especially in the interior part... I went back for a rewash to make sure all the bug bodies are washed off and the dirty that the machine missed. Sadly, the machine still didn't work, so they had to manually wipe it down (which was fine), but I'm just really concerned how they vacuum and wipe down the dust. I'm definitely not coming back to this location ever. If this is the standard for interior cleaning, that is DEFINITELY not worth the money at all. The vibe there wasn't too friendly either except the person who took my payment. The people who cleaned my interior and the people in the black uniform I'm assuming the supervisors, didn't give me good experience at all when they had to redo the interior. Quite possibly the worst single experience I've ever had at a car wash. Service was beyond slow and there were only 3 other cars ahead of me. The person at the front that took payment was rude and unhelpful. However I can look past all of that. I'm not there to make friends I'm there to leave with a clean car. But the most frustrating part of it all is I couldn't even say my car was clean. I got just the Full Service #2. The trunk was left untouched. Seemed like no one even went back there to vacuum or dust. And worst of all was that none of the bird droppings were even cleaned off. Go to Crew car wash diagonally across the intersection. Get a basic automatic wash and use the self-service vacuums after. It will be cheaper and you'll do a better job than the guys at Sparking Image. Today my car was not thoroughly vacuumed and the guy who took my prepayment was rude. Two stars because the exterior of my car looks good. This brings me back to my recommendation to go to Crew or another automated car wash line and self-vacuum using their equipment. You'll care more than the guys at Sparkling Image if you care just a little bit about how clean your car looks. This business does not care if you're satisfied - they already have your money and want a tip. Once you pull in, if they're rude and unhelpful, there are no obvious ways to get out of there. So if I can save you getting trapped in an alley with an angry guy wanting prepayment for future work of undefined quality, maybe it will have been helpful for you to know that a nicer, cheaper option is just across keystone ave. This is the 3rd time I have paid to have my inside and outside car clean. I have a new car when I tell u it's like all I did was go through the drive thru I mean it. The workers are constantly on their devices pretending like they are working. The manager is standing around giggling like a school girl my car is honestly still dirty I mean it's unacceptable. I keep being told by people to go to the sparkling image in Castleton and honestly I can say the one time I did go the the workers were nicer much more friendly and my car was show room ready. Okay I've given this place on keystone 3 opportunities to redeem themselves I will not be back it's my fault honestly. Kudos for that! i always tip the guys in front and back because I'm sure they can use the extra $$ and I have no problem with that. I feel fortunate I can do that. Today was different. I watched him dry my car and 1 young gentleman did all the work on my car and did a fabulous job. He was very polite also. When I went to give him a tip 1 of the guys just standing there grabbed it out of my hand and pocketed it for himself. I gotta tell you I was stunned, disappointed and then pissed. I've gone here for over 15 years and I may not go back. That tip was meant for the young gentleman than did all the hard work...not the fat cat just standing there. I arrived within 15 minutes only to be told that the guy that goes detailing has gone to lunch and there are other cars that are still waiting. I was told to come back another time. I have been going to this place for years and left a great review in the past, but this place has certainly gone downhill! I called in, made an appointment for an interior detail last month and was told that it would take an hour and a half, which was fine, I was prepared to wait. After only 45 minutes from start to finish I was told my car was ready. I couldn't believe there was so much dirt in the crevices and carpets. It was clear they had rushed the job and they weren't even that busy. They took it back and and spent more time cleaning it up and it came out okay, not great. First time trying this chain. Used to go to Crew Car Wash till one day about an inch and a half patch of paint on the hood of my car was scraped off. Needed to find another place to wash the salt off my car in winter so stopped here cause it's close to my house. Got the full service #2 with $3 off using a coupon I got in the mail. They did a pretty good job on the exterior and interior. Mats were vacuumed well and the dash shiny and dust free. I like that they towel dry the car, and it looked like customers who don't get full service are free to use the towels to dry their car themselves. Think I'll go to them this winter. read more

I was an unlimited customer. While going through the wash, upon exiting wash rack I was directed to park. An attendant walked my glass camper door over to me. When going thru the wash the long towels that wash the vehicles had wrapped around the handle of the camper door pulling the campers door off. I asked the MOD Craig McClendon to show me video of the incident- he couldn't without authority, he said he had to call someone in Boston to see if he could. Weeks later the female in Boston called me and said they would not replace the damage in a very nasty tone. She did say that I could go and watch the video at the Car wash. I returned asked Mr. McClendon to show me the video. He was reluctant to comply until I mentioned the female in Bostons name. (I forgot the name) Craig showed me 5 sec. video clips three in total. Mr McClendon never showed the entire video. He said he cant pull the complete video up.(I'm wonder if thats true) I will never go back to that location. I wasn't offered any compensation. They did even offer a free time period of comp. washes. Greed from the higher management, and complete compliance from the assistant mgr. I immediately thought of a master slave relationship. I wish I could give more stars because these guys work in the blistering hot sun, freezing cold and rain. I appreciate them so much for a job a lot of people couldn't or wouldn't do. With that said I m just not satisfied with the way they clean my car. I can swipe my hand across my seat and have all kinds of dog hair and dirt spread across it right after a cleaning. They don't run the vacuum into your seat crevices and therefore don't get much dirt vacuumed up. It's really disappointing because I think with just a little more effort cars could be really clean. The exterior wash was good. But the interior was horrible! My seats in the front nor the back got cleaned/wiped down. They missed a lot of spots with the vacuum as well like my cup holders and areas near the bottom of the seats. It took less than 8 minutes to clean, which made me skeptical. I ended up going to the gas station up the street to finishing cleaning what they didn't get to. I will never come here again. Please everyone!! Go wash your own cars! A waste of money. I love this car wash. I've been coming here for years. Everyone is great but my favorites are Craig, Nohemi, and Alonzo. Alonzo is so friendly and has great humor after my long days at work or wherever I'm coming from, I could sit and talk to him all day. Nohemi is friendly and welcoming, and Craig is knowledgeable, welcoming and friendly, and makes sure everything is going well on the lot. The interior clean was faster than normal and I left on another errand. If you are someone who wants your car looking prim and proper most of the time, but don't want to spend the weekend afternoon washing you car, then this place is what you need. Their $21 service takes care of interior and exterior with towel wipe, tire shine and underbody. If it's winter, I like to go for the $25 which adds hot carbonara wax, but not more than few times a year. So the car wash itself is not good, especially the part where the water is blown off by wind. If you are coming here just for the $7 wash, you will likely have water drops spread all over the car, including the windshield after you exit. And unlike crews they don't have a spot to self-serve. So $16 with dry towel wash is the least. Now coming to the actual hand clean. It's inconsistent to say the least. And it's the main reason for the 3 star rating. Also, almost every time I find unclean spots both internally and externally. I have learnt to do a quick walk around and request for additional clean up. One area of frequent miss is the trunk. They fail to wipe down water in the rear edges and grooves. So as you drive off the soapy water drips down and leaves fresh soap and water marks on your 'freshly' washed car! Also leave the trunk door open if you want them to clean it. Another pet peeve is the routinely forget to spray the scent. Last but not the least, expect your seat and mirrors to be totally out of place. It's for all of these reasons that I cannot rate it beyond 3 stars. I pay $36 bucks a month for unlimited car washes at Sparkling Image, and felt I was in need of a wash the other day, so I swung in here. I typically go to another one in town and absolutely love the service, and I expected the same level of service since it's corporately-owner. Wow.. nothing could have been further from the truth. In perfectly laid out order, here was my beef with them AND the reason I drove off before my car was finished. -There were 10 cars ahead of me in two lanes to pay and get our wash ticket. One person was working, and he was about as slow as molasses. It took just under 10 minutes before I was driving around the corner and lining my wheels up for the wash. My receipt said 2:40 on it as the time I checked in. -Within a few minutes, I was though the wash and directed to one of the full service lanes to have the interior of my car done and the outside hand dried. This is the whole reason I come to Sparkling Image. It keeps my car looking brand new. -After being blocked in, I couldn't go anywhere until 3:10, when they finally directed me into the bay to start on my car. Since my car was already dried (and spotted by the sun) I told the guy I had already waited 25 minutes and there was no way I was staying. The car that was ahead of me in the wash had left 15 minutes ago after being directed into another lane. The service at this location is nothing like the others. The people don't seem to care, there is no motivation for them to work quickly, efficiently, or really.. even at all. I'll drive 10 miles out of my way to go to the County Line location, and if the service even begins to resemble this location, my monthly membership will promptly end. read more

Upon recommendation from Eric B, I decided to stop being lazy and get my car washed. It would be an understatement to have said that my car needed to be washed. It was filthy. Filthy like the mind of your creepy psych teacher in college, or that weird girl in high school who never showered & was intent on becoming a hobbit. I was intrigued by the $5 express wash, but upon reading the "menu" I chose the $10 deluxe wash with wheel detail. The wash and detail was over in about 3 minutes, but then suddenly I felt different, epic. It might have been the Indiana Jones theme blasting out of my speakers, or it might have been that my car had been reborn, baptized by Sparkling Image. It looks brand new again. I opted for the $19 wash and interior vacuum + window clean. The windows and exterior looked great and they really vacuumed all the floorboards and seats well. They even got that grime in my cup holder that's so hard to reach! It took about 20 min from the time I pulled up to driving away. There was only one spot I wish had been vacuumed a little better (in my trunk) but honestly for $19 I would go back! The workers were all very friendly and working quickly. read more
