We have used Cable One for years. We have Dish at another location and like it but internet is limited. We just purchased a new home in Odessa and decided to continue to use Cable One. The lady with Cable One was very courteous and helpful. Inet speed is awesome and programming is good. Glad we did it. read more

Sparklight's customer service is terrible. They came to install the service and claimed they called me, but my phone never rang. Then they said they knocked on the door, which was also a lie. I went to the office to complain, and they did absolutely nothing. I called customer service, and they treated me like I was crazy. Later, I returned to the office, and the woman who attended me pretended to type a complaint, but she wasn't even touching the keyboard. It was all fake. This is the worst internet service I've ever had,for one the price is sky high way more than other providers and since Sparklight has some sort of contract with my apartment complex they are the only one we can use there (monopoly) therefore we're at their mercy lousy slow , freezing, latency 8 times out of 10, the hours are Mon-fri 8-5 ridiculous I'm so tired of them can't wait until my lease is up so I can drop this non service it's ridiculous. Some of the worst internet providers on earth. One day it'll be 300 mps, and for the remaining month it'll either not connect or be 20 mps. My mother can't even watch anything online because the internet is so bad. For the price, it's not worth it. It might be low, but you'd be better off with a mobile hotspot. Hundreds of times, the internet went out and I'm left with nothing for hours at a time. Service is terrible. The times the do "repair" their stuff, it doesn't do anything. read more

Internet is always lagging and never works in the early mornings while trying to watch the news. It stopped working AFTER the storm the other night but worked fine during the storm. Which makes no sense. read more

When it works, the internet is great, though they really did everyone a great disservice by quadrupling the speed without a corresponding increase in the (hidden in the fine print) data cap. The phone service is so-so, and the cable is just cable, nothing special and over-priced. But they are missing channels that are important to my family, and the customer service is the worst. I called today to discontinue my cable and phone portions of the service, and they are actually requiring me to pay a $300+ bill for services I am not ever going to receive. Then they'll credit me for the cancelled services on the next billing cycle. With the outrageous cost of the cable, it will actually take two billing cycles before we're even. Of course, they blame their billing system. It's absurd that in this day and age, they are not technologically able to adjust a bill when they get their equipment back. They also fail at the most basic fundamental point of customer service, which is don't interrupt your unhappy customer when they are speaking. If you have any other choices in your area, AVOID Cable One. They are the television equivalent of Ebola. Edit - Regarding Cable One's reply that says "data limits for each plan are outlined on our company website next to each internet package" - that's true now. It was not when I signed up. It wasn't even printed on the bill. That information was only in the terms of service, which was displayed to THE INSTALLER while he was setting up my service. If you want customer service go with another cable company - it took me forever just to pay a bill - I am in another state and pay the bills for my husband who is working and living temporarily in Odessa - tried to register to pay on line but the system would not recognize the account number - account became locked - sent email requesting that account be unlocked - no response after a week - tried to call this morning but no area code listed on bill, only 7 digit phone number - looked the area code up and then had to listen to a ridiculously long message about paperless billing, right, when I can not get on line anyway.... Some people may have time to deal with these obstacles but I do not - I am mailing the payment today and if this company were not the only one available at the complex that my husband has rented an apartment at I would be read more

My mother in law installed phone service 3/1/2015 and a week later stopped working. I was on hold for 45 minutes then was disconnected by their tech dept. Still no service to her phone. She is going to learn how to use her cell phone now because this is not working for the AT&T replacement of their poor customer service. Do not make this mistake yourself. read more

Cable One customer service in Odessa, Tx is an absolute JOKE! Only three clerks at any given time available to assist customers, all move slower than southern molasses then spend more time carrying on personal conversations with the customers than performing their duties. None exhibit any sense of urgency tho several voiced they were on lunch breaks, between appointments, etc. I was there TWICE today, in line over an hour each time and still, closest I got to counter was 9 people. Line was to front door each time there, tho didn't think to count customers first time. Second time I was #13 so in one hour, only four customers were serviced and back out the door!! Now have to go back tomorrow. Ugh!!!! read more
