I started getting water delivered a few months ago. Everything has been consistent except for one incident where my water tasted and smelled off. The company retrieved the water to "test" it. Unfortunately, they only marked my complaint as "odor", so their testing was just a sniff test. Someone basically sniffed the water and confirmed that there was an odor. Whatever chemicals my family and I ingested were not tested for, so we will never know, and for that I'll always be nervous. I am disappointed with the lab for their "testing." Anyone could've sniff and confirm the odor. As a matter of fact, Sparklett driver smelled it and told me it smelled like windex. The manager did call me to explain the process of treating spring water which is through ozone after we got the the sniff test result. I appreciated him for updating me. I felt like he did give me a bit of assurance. However, I didn't get a clear answer thanks to the incompetence of the lab and its technician. My only guest was that it might have been residual ozone. I call costumer service and they said there's anything they can do my account was referred to a collection agency and not I owe close to 500 dollars plus whatever Interest I'll getting charge... I was in shock !!! I ask for different option maybe they can pick up their stupid and ugly machine and I can pay for the the months of unused/ unconsumed water and that's it ... no I have to pay all that money and the faster the better because of the interest they charge. Your company needs a better follow-through with closing out accounts. Number one you dog customers for their payments when I did have service and this service was for years with Sparkletts. Once I closed the account, you informed me weeks later that I needed to hand in the empty bottles, which I more than obliged, or if I did not, the account would go to collections for $ 135.98. I have called you eight times to try and get someone to pick up the bottles but they remain in my front porch looking like an eyesore. No one comes because there is nothing in it for them so the driver will not stop and pick up the bottles. I have a few days before this account goes into collections and now I am asking for the address of a warehouse in the Lancaster area so that I can drop them off. You told me last week that someone would call me by today to schedule a pick-up that was another fabrication. I continue to wait for someone to call me and give me some kind of direction. This company is a joke. About half the time, the delivery guy leaves the wrong number of bottles of water. A couple of times, I've been charged extra for bottles he said he delivered but didn't, or bottles he did deliver that I didn't ask for. Sometimes, I don't get credit for the empties the delivery driver picks up. I've waited an entire day for a repairman to come swap out my malfunctioning cooler, only to find out that "the computer forgot" to schedule my repairman. Literally EVERY TIME I have ordered anything besides my regular water (paper cups, mini-bottles, flavored water) the delivery guy has "forgotten" to stock them in his truck. And whenever you call to complain, you have to wait at least 20 minutes for someone to answer. And when they finally do answer, they'll put you back on hold for 30 minutes and then hang up on you. The only reasons I'm still a customer are because 1) I live in an ancient apartment building and my tap water is yellow; 2) Sparkletts' competitors cost WAY more; and 3) I'm handicapped and can't carry water home from the market. read more

My family have water delivery service with sparklett since 2015. The service is not bad. The only problem we have is they love to delivery water to my neighbor who lives across a street at first year. The problem was resolved since my family moved to an apt in 2016. After two years, we asked sparklett stop delivery water to us at May 2017 because we will move out in July 2017. Since we stop the water delivery, the driver did not come to our unit in 4th floor to pick up the empty bottles. Even he is delivery bottles to my apt' first floor gym every other week. After seven phone calls between May 25th and July 2nd, the Houston Region manager canceled our account, and told us sparklett cannot sand any driver to pick up five empty bottles because we do not order any new water! He also said this is not their problem, they will not refund the bottles deposit, the account has been canceled, and we cannot keep calling them to ask a diver to pick up the bottles. We can not login the our account since July 19th. In the end, my family received a bill from sparklett which ask us to pay 82 dollars at January 2018 because sparklett said they ware delivery water to my old apt between July 2017 to January 2018. This is impassable because apt at Houston has very strict regulations which does not allow anyone left 10 battles of water at the hallway in six months. Just like many other reviewers here, I have a hard time believing that a company like this can still continue doing business. Given, I also have to take my responsibility of NOT changing my water company but unfortunately, there are not many other options to choose from so I've been using this company for over 4 years. I do think that the quality of their service has been getting worse over the years. Especially, for the last 2 years or so, I had to call the customer service almost every month to correct: billing mistake, the wrong amount of water bottles delivered, and getting the wrong type of water. They have a tendency to change fee amounts quite often as well. The most problematic and perplexing issue has been: there seems to be a huge disconnect between the office/headquarters and the delivery team. The delivery guy submits his delivery ticket/invoice, which the billing department goes by, it seems. Butt it was overwhelmingly consistent how the delivery ticket consisted of wrong information almost EVERY MONTH. Not to mention, the amount of water bottles delivered on the delivery ticket AND in actuality were so inconsistent, even though my plan clearly indicated 3 bottles a month. Since I've closed my account last May, the problems didn't end. They compounded additional charges stating that I never return some of the empty bottles. Plus, even though my account is closed, they continue to bill me every month with the additional fee of "paper invoice." Also, the customer service department has an average waiting time of 15 minutes or more. Many times, I had to wait more than 30 minutes to get a representative on the phone. This company clearly has the substantial degree of "internal" problems. The level of a headache and time you have to spend to fix problems with the company is too significant. I wish there is a better way to consume water. I did switch to Ready Refresh company and the service has been good. But sooner or later, I want to consider an in-home water solution. I am going to try to submit a complaint about this company through Better Business Bureau as well. This USED to be an awesome service even throughout Covid they kept up on deliveries and there was never an issue I was impressed, but just recently on my last 2 deliveries they have not been delivering my water. I order two 5 gallon water bottles since forever which never was an issue but just this last delivery they only delivered 1 I had to come home from work see the incorrect delivery call and sit on hold to correct it customer service was friendly and helpful but today once again I get home from work and NO 5 gallon water bottles were delivered. The last thing I want to do after a long day at work is to sit on hold waiting for customer service to correct an issue that never was and should not be an issue. Sparkletts is an absolute RIPOFF. We signed up and as soon as we got first invoice, there was an "energy surcharge" the Sparkletts rep at Costco never disclosed. It's almost the price of an entire bottle of water. That brings costs up to almost $9 a gallon. They should disclose all fees and let consumers decide. Non-disclosure is the same as lying. I am not sure what happened to this company. A while back, I believe in 2011 we were at the OC fair and they offered a good deal on renting a cooler and getting water deliveries. I decided to try it out. I did get sick of buying cases of water all the time and lugging it to my home from my car that is not parked at the house itself. This worked out even more because a few years later I started drinking water all the time. So we set up an appointment, only to find out that the guy was not going to deliver it unless someone was home. So, this works out wonderfully if you both work. Luckily I was able to get the neighbors to answer their door and agree to take this in for me. They were not real friendly neighbors so I am glad they agreed to help. The guy brought the cooler and water over and we were set. Unfortunately I am positive this was not the cooler I requested, but close enough. Not the point, but I was not being too picky. It was the right color at least. Years go by, and we received five gallon water jugs every two weeks. It has always worked out. We leave the empty jug out in the morning, they deliver the new one sometime between the morning and afternoon. No other work required. I don't know what has been going on as of late last year though. So one week in December he delivers the water two days early, on a Wednesday. I have no idea why. My schedule said that coming Friday as always. No phone call or anything. Thursday rolls around and I get my usual automated cut off voicemail about leaving my five gallon jug out tomorrow. Okay. So I leave the jug out that he never took on Friday. (Leave these out so you don't get another $6 per jug tacked onto your bill for keeping it.) Sure enough, no delivery. What the heck was going on?? So I call them, and I explain and want to know why he came early, but not on the schedule. Of course no answer to that, and he was either now coming later than usual, and then ten days after that instead of fourteen, or was it that he was now coming ten days sooner and fourteen after. I forgot. Whatever it was, my schedule was all screwed up and they had no intention of letting me know. Why even give me the paper schedule to keep so I am aware of when they are coming, if they make up their own dates? So after that fiasco a few months go by and no issues again. March 11th rolls around and he never shows up. No morning, afternoon, evening. Hey, I did get my cut off voicemail the night before though so what gives?? I call the next morning. Once again I am never given a reason as to why he did not show up. Did not feel like it I guess? She requested that he come that day on Saturday, and if not then come on Monday. Well I knew he was not going to come that day so I did not bother leaving the jug out. As I figured, I was correct. I leave it out that Monday, and as I was at the store a guy called to see if I still needed water. Um, YES. Still no explanation as to why no one came on Friday as scheduled. A water jug was finally left for me. They came as scheduled again on the 25th. But of course, they cannot stop there. I happen to look at my bank account and notice a $42 and something charge. W....T...H....???? It was bad enough that it jumped up to about $27-$28 as it was. Now I am livid. I call, AGAIN on this last Monday. The customer service on the phone has always been great which is why I will give it a 2 star as opposed to a 1 at this point. No notes or anything as to why I am charged so much. She looks, and cannot find it. Shocking! So maybe they are pulling fast ones and hope I do not see it? So she explains that she leaves an email to the supervisor about getting an approval for my refund. Why do I need approval to get $15 back that you guys overcharged me for zero reason? Mind you, she does say that I was not charged for that 3/11 non delivery or the Saturday after that. She explains that she will call me back when he replies. That was Monday. It is now Thursday. I am SO shocked that I have not received a call and still no refund. Then again it takes companies weeks to give you your money back even when they screwed up, but they are quick to take it. I guess I will have to call AGAIN. If this was not so convenient for me, I would have got rid of them after the last mess. Oh yes, and I did forget to mention that I had a leaking bottle in November that got all over my floor. They were supposed to give me a free replacement, and I did not receive that until I called weeks later and they lowered my bill. It would have never happened if I did not call. I do not want to deal with the hassle of switching companies, and I drink so much water now. I am to the point where I am going to have to decide if I should bother sticking around, or deal with lugging case after case of water and going right through them and having to make numerous trips to the recycling center. I had to cancel their services because they couldn't deliver the water bottles where I asked to leave-my back door. After I canceled their services, they promised me to pick up the remaining empty bottles which they haven't picked up. It was 3 months ago. I gave them 3 phone numbers to call me to schedule pick up, but they never called me. And now they have a nerve to send me an invoice for "bottle deposit fees". Every time I called to their customer services, I had to wait for at least 30 minutes and I literally had to wait for over an hour (I left my phone on speaker) for "Cancel my account" option. I hate to pay this stupid deposit fees, which I shouldn't have to pay as I intend to return the bottles, but I don't want them to ruin my credit history and I'm done with their stupidity. Besides, my time is too valuable to deal with such an unethical corporate. If this is their way to make a revenue, be my guest. I won't play your game anymore. Sparklett's is the WORST at anything, ever, anywhere. I signed up because I thought they might be better than ReadyRefresh/Arrowhead/Nestle (ha!) and it was a disaster. TO start, the first delivery of cooler and water bottles was several days late. The FIRST delivery! Talk about a bad impression. Then, the refill of two bottles that was supposed to come 2 weeks later was late. The driver, who had said to contact him directly with questions or changes, called to say he was going to be a day late. I thought, at least he let me know he was going to be late and would arrive the next day. That was a Wednesday, so I was expecting him on Friday. He never showed up, nor did we ever hear from him again. I tried calling the cell number he gave me six more times over the next four days and never heard back. Now, his mailbox is full --- likely with other irate customers -- and we never heard from him again. THEIR WAiT TIME ON HOLD WHEN YOU CALL THE MAIN NUMBER IS OVER 40 MINUTES! I've had to call in several times trying to find out what was going on, where was my water, etc. And the wait is always the same. Once I finally got through to cancel, the lady put me on hold again after I told her why I was calling, then hung up! I persistently called back again and finally got my cancel request in. The rep scheduled a pick-up for a week later to get the water cooler and my long-empty bottles, and...wait for it...HE NEVER SHOWED UP AGAIN! Sparklett's is textbook bad customer service. This is by far the worst water company out there. They are not only very expensive, but also love to charge $10 dollars for late charges every month and not have the decency to mail you a bill! They charge for delivery fee every single time they come to your house and they don't even let you know that. I was paying 32 dollars a month just for them to come to my house, another 45 dollars for the water and so much more for the late fee! I cancelled my account and they accumulated charges along with late fees for months and didn't even send me a bill. I happened to discover I was in collections. The WORST. 1) I called several times during their business hours and at times the lines weren't working or nobody answered. I thought it would be ok if I just used their website, but.... 2) I changed my delivery online at least 3 times and they kept bringing the wrong amount of bottles. I called to tell them this and they assured me it would be correct next time. IT WAS NOT. In the end I left a note for the delivery person spelling out exactly what to do. That is the only thing that has worked. 3) Last week I didn't get my delivery. I called and they told me they didn't bring my water because I had put a "stop" on my delivery. I had NOT called them or logged onto the website for a long time (because both were USELESS) so how could I have put a stop on my delivery?! They said they would fix this by bringing the water in 2 days. Did they? Of course not. 4) I submitted two official complaints through their website. NIGHTMARE. I'm becoming so frustrated that I'm going to cancel service....after having it for two weeks. My initial delivery date a couple of weeks ago had its date changed 4 times. Twice, I took time from work to go home and wait for the delivery only to log into Sparkletts.com and see the date had been changed. Water was FINALLY delivered on the 4th attempt after an "emergency" Saturday water delivery. Then, the water delivery was incorrect. I specifically ordered mountain spring water and was sent purified. Earlier this week, the delivery calendar said my next delivery was on a Wednesday. Then I logged in and saw it was changed to NEXT Thursday. I changed the delivery date to the Thursday of this current week and now I log in and see that the delivery was again changed!!! I wish I could give less than one star. I can tell this company has no loyalty to their customers, and only after 2 months of service. I was given a coupon from the USPS after registering for an address change with them. The coupon, Welcome50, offered me a $50 credit to start up service with them, which meant my first month with deposit would be free. Great news. I was spending tons on bottled water, so this was a big save for me. I started out setting up online, which was going well, but I decided I wanted more info that only a human person could provide. So I called l customer care, got my answers, they confirmed the coupon code I had, and signed me up for the monthly service. I logged into my account for the first time and saw that I had service coming every two weeks. No biggie, I'll just call and have them switch it, which they did. Thank you. Now this part is my own fault as I should have checked my credit card statement closer. 2 months have gone by and I'm checking card for tax season, and I notice a charge I don't recognize. It read DS Services which is Sparkletts. I called up customer care to discuss the charges and why the coupon was not applied. I let the representative know the story, about how it seems the sales rep didn't really do their job appropriately the first time around. Not only was I signed up for the wrong service, but now the coupon I had was never applied. The representative talks to their supervisor and comes back telling me that it' my own problem and had I not let 60 days pass, they would have honored the coupon. Had they honored it in the beginning like they were supposed to, I would never have a problem. So I have cancelled my service and signed up with Nestle/Arrowhead. Horrible service. Something was obviously wrong with the machine or water has it had a foul after taste. Called Sparkletts and they did not give a damn!! 1st call couldn't even get a credit for water we have not been able to drink. 2nd call the day, the day they were to have a tech come out to replace I receive a notice for my upcoming delivery at the end of the week. This included the machine that was to be delivered today (tuesday). So I call back as I had to take a day off from work because they don't give you a window time and ask about my order, "oh it wasn't in stock" so no one bothered to call me or send a email that there would be no delivery today?! Not everyone is at home all day to wait around for a possible delivery and being the temp has been over 100 degrees! They lost a long time customer after this fiasco. If you're looking for a company to deliver water to your home or office. You're better off purchasing your own water dispenser and getting a local company to deliver water. I personally use Water Village out of Echo Park. They're awesome! I tried both Sparkletts and Ready Refresh and they both are the worst! read more

Such incompetence. Broken promises of picking up their equipment, day after day. Multiple calls to customer service and supervisors with no follow up back to me. Service has been cancelled for almost 45 days and first date to pick up was mid dec. today they were call me to pick up equipment, I even called them to confirm. I get no call and 2 bottles get delivered instead. Does the meaning "canceled service" mean anything? WTH. Frustrated read more
