I was completely out of cherry Pepsi, and cherry colas are my favorite pop. Sparkle had just come out with an ad and they were on sale when you buy three. So, I decided to do my shopping this week at sparkle. I couldn't find the cherry Pepsi, so I continued shopping and filled up my cart. After I had gone through all of the isles, I still couldn't find the cherry Pepsi, so I asked an employee, who couldn't find it either. She then had someone to check in the back to see if they had it. A man, who seemed like he was the manager came out and informed me they also didn't have any in the back. This was early in the day on the very first day of a weeklong sale. I was upset that they didn't have a single case of cherry Pepsi on the very first day of the week long sale, which meant they advertised something they did not have in stock. this item being on sale was the only reason why I was in store in the first place. So, I asked the manager if he would substitute the cherry Coke for the cherry Pepsi since they did not have any of it in the store. At first, he told me that I had to buy three because the offer was for three and seemed to think I wasn't willing to buy three cases of the cans of pop. When I told him that I had no problem buying three and that I had actually planned on buying three, he backpedaled and said he just couldn't do that. He said Coke and Pepsi get upset when he does that. Poor customer service. You shouldn't advertise something on sale when you have none of it in your store, and if that is the case, you should allow some type of substitution. I hadn't shopped there in the in a while and remember that the reason why I stopped is because their produce is so bad. I have been there around the holidays and they've actually had rotten fruit inside fruit gift baskets. I have also bought products that were on sale only to find out after I got home that they were already expired! read more
