I had a mani/pedi here, and it was a solid salon. What I liked best about it was it seemed clean and had good ventilation. The lady doing my pedicure was thorough and gave a nice massage. The price seemed reasonable/average. My manicure didn't last as long as I had hoped, but that is likely due to my wear and tear. I'd come back to this nail salon if I were in the area again. read more

I was visiting my mom and needed my nails done badly. Decided to go here based on the other reviews. I first got a pedicure. I wasn't impressed. The lady who painted my nails did a very sloppy job. It was obvious, I had nail polish all over my skin. I asked her to fix it. I guess I can appreciate the fact that she didn't give me an attitude. I just don't understand how nail techs think they can get away doing a half ass job. Anyways onto my fill. Tony is fricken awesome. Even though it was a tad bit busy he took his time. He was also very friendly and we made great conversation. I paid $15 for a fill plus an extra $10 for gel color. Where I am from, I cannot find a nail salon that charges less than $20 for gel on acrylic. The prices here are very fair! I definitely plan to come back whenever I am in town. read more

NEVER AGAIN I just went In 9/2 Labor Day cause they were the only nail salon open. I walked in and asked if they can do a certain type of nails an he I think Tony mumbled something I couldn't hear. I proceeded talking, So I just wanted to make sure I don't get my nails done and be disappointed after. So I make my self very clear I want a fill and whoever can do coffin I prefer them, he's like everyone's good at everything, I was so nice cause I wanted them to be the same but I got attitude an head nods from whoever was doing my nails station #4 cause of the color of my powder or whatever cause he didn't even explain anything to me. So after enough head nods I respectful say "ok let's just fix my broken nails (2) and paint my others clear since you don't think you can achieve this" I was making this easy. Cut the fill/rebase out, fix broke nails and paint my others clear. After all said an done. I paid $16.20 for 2 nails an clear gel. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. All they did was talk amongst themselves and make no interaction with the guest, ONLY the regulars I noticed very clear they made it seem like they only serve the best. Short amount of time I observed all this. I'm a seasoned nail lady I love getting my nails done and trying new shops if need be! read more

Went to Sparkle for the first time today! Safe to say I finally found my nail place in Albuquerque! Nicole is such a sweet person and so is her staff. I got the dip-powder finish on my nails...it's kind of a new thing and lasts way longer than gel in my opinion. Perfect for work in the hospital where frequent hand washing and hand sanitizer is needed. For me it lasts at least a month and a half. It does NOT chip like at allllllll. I will be coming back, Nicole! read more

I first called to ensure they had availability and was told to arrive in 20 minutes. When I arrived they were not ready and very much overwhelmed as there were only 3 technicians. At first I was patient and understood and was happy to wait while my feet soaked for my pedicure. The pedicure portion was pretty nice so that is why they are receiving 2 stars. The gel manicure was a totally horrendous experience. I needed my old gel removed and the technician was so harsh while removing it that 3 of my finger's cuticle bled. She paid no mind to it and kept rushing along as others entered the shop. She was quick to respond to them that she only needed 20 minutes and she would be finished with me. Her husband then showed up and distracted her and the other 2 nail technicians making it even worse. I asked for a French gel manicure and she filed my nails too thin, then only put 1 coat of gel and 1 top coat of gel. My nails started breaking/ ripping off 3 days later and are still so brittle that they continue to break. Come to find out multiple technicians were on vacation that day. I'll never return. read more

I was so honored to spend the New Year with my good friends at Sparkle Nails. There was awesome food, amazing company and I got a beautiful new design done on my nails. I just LOVE my friends here, they're like family to me. This time I got "Cat Eye" nails and I was blown away at how this effect works! My daughter got hologram nails, which are sooooo pretty. I asked Nicole to do whatever she wanted to my nails and surprise me. As you can see in the photos she did an amazing job! I always walk out of this salon feeling like a million bucks!! read more

Very clean and professional. Everyone was very nice and did a great job. So glad it's close to home!

Should've even been given zero stars !! I guess you gotta be white to get served here! Waited for 40 min and no communication from whoever is running this place. But serviced a white lady before me and claimed she had an appointment. Never going back and this business does not practice covid safe practices!! City should shut them down read more

They don't honor appointments, just a standard walk-in chop shop. New to the area called in advance to find a place I could take my young daughter for her first pedicure. Got there for our appointment only to be told they are running at least 20 min behind which we all know means 30-40 minutes because they took walk-ins they didn't really have time for. Sure it is great for what it is, but don't recommend if you value your time. read more

New to Albuquerque. I called yesterday afternoon to make a 9:00 appointment for today. The young woman who made my appointment was so positive and welcoming. I thought I really want to go there. Tony (the owner) gave me a wonderful spa pedicure...very professional and friendly. My purple toenails SPARKLE!!! Oh, and the salon is lovely too read more

I scheduled an appointment and I did not start until 30 minutes after my scheduled time. I have had acrylic nails numerous times before, this by far was the most painful. The nails look decent but not worth the uncomfortable feeling during and afterwards. Even hours after being done, I am very sore and small cuts on almost every cuticle and side area. I would not recommend. read more

Visiting and decided to get my nails done. From the time I sat in the chair the lady doing my nails was on the phone! When she got off the phone 5 people walked in to get their nails done, thereafter she rushed to get finished with my nails. Another client in the other chair had a guy doing her nails and wasn't pleased either! I wouldn't recommend this nail salon only if it was a last resort!! read more

I generally do my nails myself. I'm incredibly picky due to my background in cosmetology (we are licensed to do nails as well). Today was the first time I left a nail salon and couldn't stop staring at my polish. Nicole did an amazing job. She is incredibly friendly and you can tell she really loves what she does. Make sure you ask her for polish color recommendations. She has very good taste and knows what the best combos are if you wanna add some sparkle. She won me over for sure. read more

While the people are very friendly and made efforts to be accommodating they were very much lacking in skill. It took forever for me to get a French manicure with crystals added. It took three different manicurists to do it and they still did not do a great job. My mom also got a manicure with gel nail polish and it chipped in two days. I do my nails as a hobby and my skill surpassed the skills of my manicurists. If you want a simple color then they can do it. If you want something more I suggest finding a more skillful place. read more

Biggest plus on the pedicure I received today--they cut my nails the length I requested! The technician gave a marvelous calf massage as well. I'll be back. read more

I came in from California for my "nephew's " wedding. I used to have an amazing nail artist here who did wonderful intricate work that lasted a very long time. She moved back to her country and I have not found anyone comparable. Nicole and her crew at Sparkle nails did an amazing job!! The shop was clean and nicely set up. I gave Nicole an idea of what I wanted, beyond that, I let her do what she wanted. I told her I love bling and used to get a lot, but most shops charge for each stone. ( my former nail artist had flat rates) She did not charge for the extra stones since I gave her free reign and we had a bit of a wait. The only reason I didn't give 4 stars is because the ring finger was a little off. The double cat eye effect requires black polish first, the ring finger did not get cat eye effect so probably shouldn't have had black polish underneath. It completely changed the color of the top coat polish. It is a purple with green and gold color changing undertones. The black base coat makes it look a champagne color In summary great work, clean shop, gentle touch, reasonable prices. Thank you Nicole and Diamond Nails!!! read more

My mom and I went to get two new sets here. A lady named Nicole did my set. She did a great job by the way. However the man that did my moms nail was a little rude. First, My mom was seated in a broken chair she mentioned over three times she was uncomfortable and something was wrong with the chair. The man didn't even offer her another chair so she was uncomfortable the whole time. Second she asked for ombré nails and he did solid pink on her instead. He was also very rough with her hands and used alcohol at the end. I told him that it's not right and he disagrees overall he didn't listen. Had better experiences elsewhere. read more

My daughters and I love Sparkle. They have a wonderful atmosphere. Clean chairs and sanitized equipment. Their massage chairs are wonderful and all the techs so far have been great. Anthony is our favorite by far. They have reasonable prices, a great location, and are always friendly. The also offer waxing services, along with nails. Sometimes they are a little short-handed so there might be a wait. We usually call ahead and make a reservation. A great place for a relaxing mani-pedis! read more

Bad customer service. Didn't ask what shape I wanted before doing a shape I did not want, ruining my own natural nail shape. Owner upset because I don't spend a lot of money by only getting a rebase with clear polish. Tech distracted by customers walking in and just walked away from my service to help someone else when I wasn't fully finished. And then has the nerve to tell me I make her uncomfortable, that I get the cheapest service and reminded me she has been doing nails for 18 years. I explained to her i dont always have the money for a full nail make over and besides, i like my natural nail with only clear polish. I went back twice in case the first time was just a 1 off, only to have the manager tell me off after she asked me if the shape was good and I said no. I understand it's a busy establishment, but that is no reason for bad customer service. Maybe if I spent $100, I would have gotten better service. read more

Poorly organized and poor communication. They gave me an appointment , avoided eye contact for 20 minutes past my appointment time and when I asked told me I had to wait 40 minutes total for a scheduled manicure. Waste of time. read more

Sparkle Nails has some really great specials! Check them out, you'll love the results!! Look at my beautiful nails! Nicole used this awesome new product 'Polygel "Hot" Gel'!! It's more natural looking and lightweight! I've gotten so many compliments on my new nails! I love this new product because my fingers feel so light and they are thinner and just as strong as acrylic! Give it a try next time!! The BEST in Albuquerque!! I travel from AZ every 4 weeks to get my nails done here! Nicole and her team are creative experts in nail design and by far the best you'll find anywhere!!! Every single time I get my nails done, I'm blown away at how beautiful and elegant my nails look! On top of all this, I continue to get compliments on my nails even after they are three and four weeks old! They still look 'just done' at three and four weeks! read more

Went to this place because I read the positive reviews. This place was anything but. The lady that did my pedicure was great very gentle and got the job done. The man that did my new acrylic full set, was the exact opposite. Not only did he take 2.5 hours I asked for coffin shape and received an almond shaped nail. I asked for marble and received grey all over my nail that looked like a tree branch, i asked him to do a different design and got a gold on white nail tip. Horrible. The dip is chunky not evened out what so ever. Not to mention while he was attempting to cut my nail in a coffin shape took a decent chunk of nail and skin off my pinky fingernail. Do not recommend this place what so ever. Spent $80 for my nails to look like this!!! SO DISAPPOINTING! read more

When I saw a grand-opening sign less than a mile from where I live, I was curious though nail service is not at all on my to-do list. I decided to check Sparkle Nails out only 15-min before their posted closing time today... They gave me the most attentive pedicure I had in years! In 75 minutes, my toes, feet were transformed into flip-flop ready. $20 for a regular pedi, a steal with additional 20% off for grand-opening... Julie was treating me as if I were her first customer of the day... not the last one who delay her going home for an hour! The owner Nicole had been in the business for 12 years and she is Pinterest friendly.... show her any design and she will do it! Here's the icing on the cake while being pampered: the family of Tommy, the male technician, showed up after closing hour and I got to watch the interaction between those Vietnamese friends. Much similarity to Chinese culture, the hostess offered treats to Tommy's daughter, who politely declined at first; hostess Nicole insisted, daughter accepted with thankful remarks... Julie's aunt who came with the family shared a banh mi w/ Tommy's wife... Their native tongue is like music to me. I will be back! read more

Thanks to the fellow Yelpers.. I may have found a new spot for my recommendations! The people here are by far the nicest humans ever & will accommodate to the customers' wants/needs! Professional, efficient, & friendly. What more can you ask for? The shop is literally spiffy clean -- like it's not the typical nail shop where there's stuff everywhere. You have to see it to believe it for yourself. I came in for a pedi w/ a friend today & we weren't disappointed! Aside from the long wait, as it was for a weekend & they had a rush, but overall, the service was still great! I look forward to coming back here w/ my mom -- as she hasn't really found a place she's liked yet.. so I hope this will do the trick! read more

I received a gift card from here, so I went to try it out. I was welcomed which was very nice . I started receiving my pedicure which I notice the person had to be new since it seem like they didn't know what they were doing . She honestly did a great job shaping my toes since I asked her for them to be squared" honestly best shape I have ever had and I'm very happy about that but since I'm sure she was new she didn't know what Products were supposed to be used she put something under my feet that made them very dry and it hurts . They even called me from the salon to let me know that she did it wrong and that I should go wash my feet which I did but I think it was too late and now they're very dry and it hurts . I also paid about $52 with tax because I got the "better pedicure " . Since my cellus are already bad I expected the person to remove some of it but she didn't . I've gone to other places and paid less and receive more than the time that I paid more and didnt seem like I got a special treatment Also, when I was getting the massage she was using the water instead of a lotion to massage me. read more

Sparkle Nails - I am always beyond satisfied with the way my nails come out when I go to Sparkle Nails! Definitely the best nail salon in town! - Nail Salons Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

OMG. This is the most ghetto nail place ever. I asked a friend who she uses because I was shopping around, so I tried it. I wanted to leave when the water wouldn't get warm and had random stuff floating around. I wanted to leave when the nail tech pulled out her busted file coated with the dust of a thousand toenails. I REALLY wanted to leave when she cut my toe and made it bleed. The paint job looked okay when I left, but I immediately went home and coated my nails with Neosporin. No one should feel the need to disinfect as soon as they get home. No one should feel like they need to get vaccinated before visiting. Next time I see my friend, I'll grab her by the shoulders and tell her she has other options. Good God. read more

There are only two technicians there that will give you quality work. The rest are trash! Sloppy work. Previous manicure peeled after 2 days. This time, I can see bumps and smudges. No more chances. Never again! read more

The worst salon in Albuquerque. I got an infection on my feet that had to get part of my nails removed by a foot specialist which was so painful and long recovery. The male tech complained the entire time about doing my nails and did them terribly, the began to hurt a week later. They were thick, incorrect shape and design was terrible. DO NOT GO HERE! DIRTY, RUDE AND TERRIBLE WORK read more

The salon is clean, and the technicians are nice, but this is not quality work. I got the deluxe pedicure, but my heels are still cracked and calluses are not totally gone. I got a gel manicure and within hours of leaving on of my nails had already chipped. I went back and they did fix it, but by the end of the next day the clear layer was peeling off every nail, by day 3 the polish was cracking like cooled lava on all but 2 nails, and now on day 4 the cracks are so bad they are starting to chip. I'm not sure if it is the off-brand polish they are using, or defective uv lights, but in the 5+ years I've been getting gel manicures this is definitely a first. I'm disappointed I paid $65 last weekend, and am now going to get it all redone somewhere else this weekend. read more

I will not be back. I came in to say I need my regular refill done, gel nails polish, pedi with Gel, eyebrows done and get my daughter nails done. Owner asked what I needed I said I need a refill and before I can say more she says very rude like she was mad I was there. Sign in, pick color and sit down. I said I would like gel nails and my daughter nails done as well. She acted as if I didn't speak to her. Another employee had to tell me where the gel polish is. I sat and wait over 30 mins watching people that came after me get great service and get service before my daughter and I. They lost a lot of money from me that day and a repeat customer. I'll take my business other places where I'm wanted. I'm so upset. I'm so done with going to business that don't have respect for their customers. I have tried a ton of nail salons in the city and I'm so glad I found Sparkle Nails. I drive all the way over from the west side just to get a pedicure here. Every employee is super friendly and every one does an excellent job. Usually my basic polish pedicure lasts several weeks. They get super busy on the weekends, with good reason because they rock, so I suggest making an appointment if you plan on coming on the weekend. They also offer free wifi which is an added bonus. (Not even worth one star) Over priced and not the best customer service. An older man did my ombré dip and RUSHED me the entire time. Didn't listen to anything I wanted and was trying to hurry and kept smuggling the gel too coat because he was going too fast. I asked for short, round nails and got long square ones that are uneven and bumpy. The bigger lady with a Karen hair cut was rude too, she works at the front. I felt very rushed and terrible quality. I was charged $90 for basic pedi with regular polish, and ombré dip when I've never paid that much, especially for the quality. Never going there again. read more
