Not very happy with my gel nails
    Ashley C.

I walked in around 11 am on Friday, after the 4th of July. The manager (or owner) was very friendly. She told me that they were slow so that it's my choice if I want to do my pedicure and manicure at the same time or if I wanted to relax and do them back to back. I opted for the later since I wasn't in a rush. I asked the nail technician to shape my toes in a square and she said yes, but didn't do that. She also cut my nails crooked and I had to ask her to reshape them. Then I asked for her to go closer to my cuticles when she was doing the first coat and she said that she would on the second coat. As you can tell from the picture, she didn't paint close to my cuticles and she painted them crooked. I have to go to another nail shop and get them redone this week since they don't look fresh and have already chipped. Unfortunately I will not be going back to this salon.

Made an appointment the day before. Arrived a few mins late and they immediately seated me. I got a gel mani/pedi (75 for both). Really good quality, but I do wish they would have cleaned/cut my cuticles a bit more. Would come back. Comfortable seating.

Best place for dip nails! The ladies will get you right. The quality of the shape, color and all top tier! Love this place.

Love getting my nails done here. Always looks great and last a long time. No chipping. Super cute inside too. Staff are all nice and all speak English. They speak Vietnamese too. (And from the few times I've gone. I've never heard them bad mouth a customer.) They remember their customers and have a lot of regulars.

    Gel lifting

Service: Gel Manicure Honestly feel bad giving such a low review after how great their custom service was. Friendly, love when I can have a conversation with my nail techs. However, by day 2, I noticed one nail lifting. I went back to get it fixed and she was able to use her nail to dig it in mine and gel just popped off like nothing. She fixed it and went ahead and re applied a top coat on all my nails but never wiped them clean so now I had cloudy with particles on some nails. I let it be cause I'm not from the area.. Day 5, I have my nails getting stuck in my hair and more lifting. Definitely never had to experience my gel manicure nails not lasting nor even a week so I was disappointed.

My friend made appointments for us to come and wow I was impressed by this place. They were all super nice and welcoming. If I lived in the neighborhood, I would frequently get my pedicures here. The seats were comfy. Inside was modern and fun. Loved it here!

I've heard great things about Sparkle and I really wanted to like them but I was very disappointed in my visit last week. I called on a Monday for an appointment and was able to get in within the hour. Upon arrival they had me wash my hands and sanitize. I then waited for the next technician to clean and prepare. I took the time to scope out the salon. Their nail bar area is very unique. I have never seen a salon with a bar like that, so that easily sets them apart. I had a man work on my pedicure, I didn't get a chance to ask for his name but I think it was Ron? I know it started with an R atleast. Hahaha, he took his time with cutting and cleaning my cuticles. However, he did nip one of my toes on my left foot and usually I wouldn't mind but blood was pooling out of the cut. At one point he sat there with a cotton ball, applying pressure for about 2-4 mins. He would go back to the toe every now and then too because I was bleeding so much. I could tell he was nervous about it because he kept looking up at me...but he never apologized for it. I also asked him to take out my ingrown toenails several times and he said okay but barely took it out...I also wasn't asked what kind of pedicure I wanted. I usually opt for the spa pedicure but I was never asked which pedicure I wanted so he just started doing the basic and ended with the basic. When he was done with painting my toes, he literally rubbed oil and lotion on my legs in an up-down motion TWICE then told me I was done. So there was absolutely no massage and it says that a massage should be included in the basic pedicure too... My experience wasn't very relaxing either because a few of the other technicians were talking so loud that I felt like I was apart of the conversation. Everyone was so nice and friendly that I really wanted to like the spa but I just left with my ingrown toe nails still causing me irritation, my toe bleeding and not relaxed. It's been a short week since my visit and I'm already at another salon getting my pedicure done again because I need some treatment on my ingrown. Super disappointed and will not be returning.

I have been to Sparkle three times now, and each time it's absolutely perfect. The staff is so kind and friendly, the environment is everything I could ask for in a nail salon. This time I had a very specific pic of a nail design that I wanted, and my amazing nail tech got it PERFECT. I would absolutely recommend Sparkle Nail Bar!

I had Lulu and she was super sweet! this is dip and it was $50 Super great nail place!

chill and positive upbeat environment. This was dip nails by lulu! Mine was $50 and they carefully chose out the color this is the exact color that i wanted and exact nail shape too.

Just got my nails done on wed and my gel is already coming off before I leave for my trip. Very disappointed with the results. Also the colors are off so the gel that they used says the name I wanted so maybe the color guide they had was off? I'm not sure but you can be the judge. And no it's not the lighting.

Tucked in a weird spot with other businesses behind the Hilton.. Sparkle Nail Bar is between a Sourdough sandwich spot and a float therapy place.. I called for a pedicure and they had immediate availabilty.. that ups my happiness. I show up, I had to read about Covid-19 and sign a waiver. Mask required. Hand sanitizer was readily available and their dedication to safety during this pandemic was seen and it felt reassuring from the presence of barriers and having people wait outside so that there isn't unnecessary people inside breathing. There wasn't a menu to describe each pedicure. My nail tech described them to me and I chose the Spa Pedicure ($40) which included paraffin wax and a hot stone massage. Color samples were brought to me. The pedicure stations weren't individual massage chairs but a long bench divided with barriers and it may massage? I think I saw remote tucked into the creases where the back and seat part of the bench meet. So perhaps during nonpandemic times there is a massage option.. maybe. Doesn't matter. I brought a book. Some polish was messed up when the nail tech put my slippers on.. She fixed it and yeah, I have to say this because I have been to places that play it off like it didn't happen and try to send me on my way so I really appreciate it when they take the time to fix the smudged polish. This was my first visit and I got in when businesses were reopening but that phase has since been shut down by the government so.. I hope they make it and reopen.

Love my French dips from Chi!

Ask the Community - Sparkle Nail Bar

Do you use the uv light with dip?

Do they soak off acrylic nails or only clip off?

They offer soak off, I had mine soaked off today.

Do you use shellac nail polish?

    Yes

Do they have OPI gel or dipping powder?

They have both! But sometimes are limited on certain colors

How much is acrylics full set and how much is a pedicure?

I usually get a pink and white ombré for $45 and pedis range from 30-60 I believe

I saw a comment saying that if you pay with cash theres a discount. How much of a discount?

    $1 off

Do they do matte topcoat for acrylics?

Yes & matte coat is free

    Do they take cash payments?

Yes, and offer a discount if you pay in cash.

How much does the dipping powder nails cost?

    $35

    How much are their pedicures?

They range from $25-$60. It's an additional $15 if you want gel nail polish. It's a little pricier, but worth it in my opinion. 😉

Does anyone know their pricing for a regular gel manicure?

$35, if you just do a gel polish change it's $25.

Do they offer dipping powder nails?

Yes but personnel who does dip nail is not available every day.

I called the day before to schedule an appointment and the guy who answered the phone was very professional, took my name and helped me work out a time that was best for me and my mother to come in the next day. The next day when I arrived, we were quickly ushered to sit in our chairs (for a pedicure) and even given water as we were able to enjoy the massage chairs. The staff doing our pedicures were very friendly and attentive to doing exactly what we requested. The aesthetics of this shop is very pleasing as the shop itself is clean, neat and orderly. They also have a myriad of options for nail polish colors. I ended up selecting a gel nail polish, which at the time of writing this review, a month later, is still intact on my toe nails. (I know - I need another pedicure soon. lol) I will say the price was a little bit costly compared to other places I have been, however, that may be because we selected one of the highest packages. Either way, my mother enjoyed the shop and even upon leaving the guy at the register, welcomed us to come back by giving us a 10% off our next service coupon. I will say due to the friendly staff, the clean environment and all of the safety protocols that they take to make sure that you get a clean experience, I would definitely visit the shop again. It's definitely worth the visit.

I thought taking care of my feet wasn't a manly thing but that crazy thought process has prevented me from getting a pedicure until now. I am glad to be enlightened! Location: Off of Bond and Elk Grove Florin. It is not the biggest parking lot but it is generally isn't that busy. The interior is nice, clean and spacious. Very nail salon vibey but I like that Service: Staff was extremely friendly. The owners are very friendly and talkative. I think, like any nail shop, it can be hit or miss if you're not familiar with who does good work…read more I came here when they first opened and had an okay experience. My nails and feet were done pretty well, but they do seem to push Gel X and gel services even if that's not necessarily what you went in for. My most recent visit has me thinking about trying other nail shops. My bill was around $300 for myself and my daughter, and unfortunately, I didn't feel like we received $300 worth of services. We made appointments but when we arrived still waited about 10 minutes. The lady who did my pedicure, Linda, was very nice and sweet, but I was disappointed with the service, especially for a $77 pedicure. She completely skipped the massage on my right leg, barely scrubbed my feet for a couple of minutes, and didn't really push back or clean up my cuticles. My feet still felt rough afterward, and the polish was left far from my cuticles. They honestly looked like they had been done weeks ago, even though the picture was taken the same day. The steamer was also mostly pointed away from my legs or toward her, so I barely felt it. The guy who did my nails, Liam, actually did a pretty good job. He took his time and was very thorough, so I was happy with my nails. Unfortunately, my daughter's experience was not as good. The design and color were not what she asked for. She wanted black, but they came out looking brown because only one coat was applied over a brown color. She was also talked into getting Gel X when a powder ombré would have been closer to what she originally wanted. Overall, I think there are some good technicians here, but it really depends on who you get. For what we paid, I expected a much better overall experience, so we'll probably be trying some other nail shops next time.
