My technician, Jennifer, was amazing. I will admit, between work boots, running, and everyday activities, my feet are downright fugly! Somehow, Jennifer managed to make beauty out of my beast of toes. She was friendly, professional, and made the whole experience enjoyable. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Angel. She was very friendly, animated, and you could tell she genuinely enjoys interacting with her customers. It is always nice to see an owner who is passionate about their business and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Everyone in our group had a great experience, and we all left happy and relaxed. I can see why people keep coming back. If you're looking for a place with great service, talented technicians, and a fun and friendly environment, JB Nails & Spa is definitely worth a visit. I called the day before to schedule an appointment and the guy who answered the phone was very professional, took my name and helped me work out a time that was best for me and my mother to come in the next day. The next day when I arrived, we were quickly ushered to sit in our chairs (for a pedicure) and even given water as we were able to enjoy the massage chairs. The staff doing our pedicures were very friendly and attentive to doing exactly what we requested. The aesthetics of this shop is very pleasing as the shop itself is clean, neat and orderly. They also have a myriad of options for nail polish colors. I ended up selecting a gel nail polish, which at the time of writing this review, a month later, is still intact on my toe nails. (I know - I need another pedicure soon. lol) I will say the price was a little bit costly compared to other places I have been, however, that may be because we selected one of the highest packages. Either way, my mother enjoyed the shop and even upon leaving the guy at the register, welcomed us to come back by giving us a 10% off our next service coupon. I will say due to the friendly staff, the clean environment and all of the safety protocols that they take to make sure that you get a clean experience, I would definitely visit the shop again. The steamer was also mostly pointed away from my legs or toward her, so I barely felt it. The guy who did my nails, Liam, actually did a pretty good job. He took his time and was very thorough, so I was happy with my nails. Unfortunately, my daughter's experience was not as good. The design and color were not what she asked for. She wanted black, but they came out looking brown because only one coat was applied over a brown color. She was also talked into getting Gel X when a powder ombré would have been closer to what she originally wanted. Overall, I think there are some good technicians here, but it really depends on who you get. For what we paid, I expected a much better overall experience, so we'll probably be trying some other nail shops next time.
