I ordered quad tires from tirerack.com (great source for tires) and had delivered to Watson's; On day of delivery, Bob Watson called and told me to bring my car by after work. A woman there I had previously spoke with had quoted me $17 per tire to balance and mount. When I got there, Bob Watson took care of me and gave me total bill for $60 (15 per tire). The websites available for delivery/install online were all between $100-120$. So I got great same day service for about half the price. Tires mounted fine, driving smooth, will go back for some general maintenance too and update review.

They are trustworthy, provide informed choice, and make sure things are done right w/o pressuring for unnecessary repairs. Patrick, Julie, Jeremy all tell it like it is--give honest opinions about what needs to be addressed in the immediate future and what can wait, how to tell when it's time to address longer-term issues, offer budget-friendly, creative options when able, etc. Have also worked me into a busy schedule when issues were serious and/or to accommodate my work schedule. Pricing is competitive. Personable, real people. Offered me lunch one day when I was waiting and someone dropped off a meal for the crew. Overall, a solid small business--I definitely recommend!

I would not say it does as well as a good, old fashioned hand clean but few automatic car washes do. If you have a larger SUV or truck and choose to use the automatic stall you MUST fold in your mirrors. There is no way they will not survive otherwise. This is ok if you have mirrors that fold in automatically. However, if you have to pull them in yourself it can be a pain. I was surprised to see that the automatic stall takes credit or debit cards. Very convenient! I have not tried the manual stalls so I cannot comment on those. As it is on the way home for me, I will more than likely return to this car wash. However, I usually try to hit the Super Pantry car wash on University in Urbana if I can. I feel like it does a better job.

Today I brought it in for an oil change, and talked to Brett about the fact the engine seemed a little rough at 35mph. We talked about what might be the cause. I'd been told I should think about getting the transmission flushed soon (from my uncle, an auto mechanic). So, he said that they'd check that, along with the other 60K mile stuff recommended by Kia. He called to tell me that they looked everything over, ran the diagnostic, and it all looks OK. Why is this awesome? I was happy to pay for the transmission flush. I was planning to pay for it. But instead, he was honest and said that I didn't need it. And that the coolant was fine as well. Just goes to show that they're not out to get money from their customers. Rather they're there to KEEP their customers by not recommending unnecessary repairs.

So if you live in Catlin you know the previous (and only) mechanic in town, Martens had a VERY tough job filling the hole that was left. They have FAR exceeded it. I have given them my business every time my car needed repaired but I have to share two experiences of them going completely over the top! First, I picked up a nail in my tire and needed a patch, they accidentally over charged me five dollars (please bear in mind they were BRAND new to Catlin). I had know Idea and was just happy to have my tire fixed. But... When my husband needed an oil change, they remembered the mistake, gave him a 5 dollar credit and sent me a hand written note apologizing, who does that??! The second incident you ask? I dropped my car off on a day they were closed (as in not open and no expectation that I should receive service) so what happened? Well they know my car, and called me to ask what I needed to have done, and made arrangements to have my car repaired first thing Monday morning. Super honest, super awesome at car repair and customer over the top, again, the best of the best!!
