My husband took our car and when he got home I had to take it right back. The floor mats had NOT been removed to vacuum and in between the doors and seats was NOT vacuumed and we paid the $24 package. The tires had not been wiped off. None of the inside doors had been wiped with armor all. I took everything out of the doors for this before hand. Crappy job wiping down the inside. Yes there was a lot of dog hair in our car and I didn't expect all that to be vacuumed up. That would be impossible but the sand.....hello! Dashboard not armor all. Very poor job! Even though when I went back they washed it again but the inside was pretty much just as crappy with NOTHING wiped down properly, but at least the tires were done the second time...smh I could have done this at home if I knew the inside was going to be left pretty much in the same condition as when we took it. All the other reviews are from the previous owners. Now the old owners to Sparkle Car Wash had an excellent crew working g there and the cars always looked amazing! Sparkle has always been the best place in town to get a car wash so it was a bummer to hear it closed down but thankfully someone bought it and re-opened it! Workers are always nice, they make sure you get your moneys worth, and if you have a problem they are more than happy to help you. I'd say this is best place where you get value for what you pay for. read more

Came here on a Saturday, 1 car ahead.... I have a brand new SUV.... Just really needed windows cleaned and wipe down. Left water dripping on all sides of car, my girlfriend asked to dry it. Then she asked to clean windshield cause spots all over windshield, dirt spots. He said well you can just ask, she did. They were more interested in sitting down and not caring if the car was cleaned. No one even there... I know the old owner and his crew did great work. I honestly love Sparkle Car Wash. There is nothing fancy about it. They do a great job cleaning at an affordable price. The occasional wait is tolerable and it's quite likely to run into old friends while waiting for the vehicle to be finished. The only request I have ( and I've had it for decades) is that they get an air-spritz dryer for the outside mirrors. Water always runs out as I drive away. I tried going today again, long line, and I was trying to turn left into the facility from westbound on Main. Cars were moving up front but the cars in the back were not moving for me to pull in. The old man that works there was moving some of the cars himself, but not fast enough. I sat in the center divider for 6 minutes and when the line finally started to move, cars coming Eastbound that just showed up cut in front of me. Never had that problem when Andy was working there. This business does not understand the principles of flow and position their employees all on one car with only one person doing the finishing details. The back up of cars waiting to exit the wash creates a bottle neck. And worst of all, for all the time spent here your car won't come out fully clean. read more

We've taken our vehicles to Sparkle frequently in the twenty-two years we've been in Barstow (unable to escape!) and they've always done a very good job. the local car dealers go there; the rental car companies go there; and a CHP trooper was pulling his SUV through this morning when I arrived. But I've never had them detail a car before. Still, the current car deserved a good detail, and for whatever reason, I haven't encountered consistently good comments about any detailer in the Victor Valley or even down in "car country" in the closer parts of San B., LA, and Orange Counties. Car buffs I know have been disappointed by most of the places around, and even those as far away as Las Vegas. So it was back to ever-reliable Sparkle, and man: I'm glad I took the car there! The last time I took her in for a wash, I had asked Andy how to go about it; he told me to just call, ask for him or for Joel (the owner) and schedule an appointment. I was concerned that I was having the windows tinted, but Andy assured me they use ammonia-free cleaner that won't affect the film. Last week I called and made an appointment for today. This morning, I ran the baby over to the car wash, and Andy gave me a ride back home. Caught a ride back over this afternoon; they had said to give them six hours, and they took just a little longer, which I did not mind, because of the quality of the work. It gave me a chance to talk with one of the staff from Enterprise car rental, a great guy I've known for a while, who was rotating their vehicles through the car wash. The car just glowed (even though it's black), and I can find no fault with the exterior or interior work: very comprehensive and thorough. $130 for a sedan seems very reasonable to me, especially since Abraham did such a great job. As I'm sure you know, you can pay that much eslewhere, and then have to take the car back to address spots that weren't cleaned. Went there today with two vehicles. Paid 19.99 for each, got home to clean up some water spots, understandable, upon feeling the paint, no wax on either vehicle. Bird crap on my tonneau cover even after I asked the individual at the vacuum/pre wash area to please scrub it with a brush he was using on every other vehicle. They didn't clean my door cup holders, spots all over my truck, wheels streaked. I'm done with this place. They were not even busy today. Don't waste your time at this ripoff joint. And I've been coming here for years, NO MORE. CLEAN UP YOUR ACT. Owner pretends that he gives a crap, nothing further than the truth. I was in Barstow on Sunday St Patrick's Day going to see my brother. I have a 2000 Cadillac Eldorado with 40,000 miles and is in showroom condition. It was time to get my Cadillac washed so I stopped at Sparkles Carwash in Barstow. The car got washed and I had the tires done also and went to my brothers house. My brother was outside and came over to meet me and showed me the dent on my door. I know my car and the dent wasn't their when I left my house. The only place I stopped was the carwash. If you have a nice car don't take it to Sparkles they have workers that hate people with nice cars. They will scratch or dent your car and then laugh about it. I am going to get my car fixed but they lost a good customer that always tips good (my min. tip for a carwash is $5) and I put the $5 in the tip can they have their. I liked how clean my car was and their location was great for me but the dent they put in my door wasn't nice at all. This used to be the best in town. No longer. Pulled up at 1:15pm on Sat. Got right up to the register to pay. Had 5 cars in front of me. 45 minutes later I still have 3 cars in front of me. Waste of my time. I'm done with this place after 12 years of using them. I refuse to let them wash my interior because they do a terrible job if you have a jeep style vehicle with no carpet, they refuse to vacuum the rocks off my bare plastic covered floor. I went from a car to a new 2014 FORD F150 for many reasons. The primary reason was to have the ability to go off-roading out here in the Mojave Desert. There's much to see out here and more than some may imagine. I've taken 4 off-road trips so far and a couple of those left pretty deep scratches along both sides of the truck due to creosote bushes and nasty desert briar patches that lined some of the pathways we took. So I wasn't expecting miracles when I took my not so new truck anymore to Sparkles for a detailing hoping it would come out a little better after all that wear and tear I put it through. Lo and Behold! I was doing a happy dance when I saw my truck 6hrs later after having dropped it off. The owner informed me that one man worked on it that entire time. All I can say bottom line is ... he and his wife have good people working for them, and I would recommend them above anyone out here in the high desert.
