Staffed by community volunteers, the pride and passion is on display and you can't help but get drawn in by the volunteers who help find treasures in the bounty of offerings at Pebble Creek. I purchased some clothing items and an Omaha Royals vintage lunch box. I may be back to purchase the Easy Bake Oven that I spotted in the toy room. Everything is tastefully displayed, easy to navigate and overflowing with finds from designer purses to bicycles, nursery furniture and antique school desks. Furniture is housed at their downtown storage that is open by appointment--a photo album can be viewed to select from the offerings. All proceeds from Pebble Creek goes back into the community. Hidden in plain sight, we drove by the store twice before we saw the signage. The building is an unassuming former implement building on highway 275 as you go through Scribner, You will find it, but you may drive by a time or two like we did. If you are a college kid or are looking to furnish your first apartment--this PCV would be a great place to start.

For those who aren't familiar with Found Vintage Market, its flagship location is located in Benson, across the street from one of my favorite coffee shops, Hardy Coffee Co. (I smell another review coming.. pun TOTALLY intended!) There is a new location that recently opened in Elkhorn, but I haven't been able to make it there yet. The Benson location, though? Adorable! Eclectic! Vintage! Cozy! And every other adjective I can think of. The store has a little bit of everything for everyone. From furniture to decor to kitchenware to candles to purses and other accessories, it really is a great place to visit when you want gifts as unique as the people you're buying them for. What I liked MOST about this business is that is has a large selection of gently used plus size clothing. And, they are easy to find right by the front door. As a plus size gal I tend to find small, hidden sections of the clothes I need, but nope, The Second Closet celebrates our curves proudly. There were quite a few things I wanted and tried on but some of the prices held me back. They are a bit high for second hand but again, these are high quality pieces from reputable companies. I did take home a very nice, classic piece though.
