Once you walk in, you head to the back of the store and there is a little cafeteria style set up of fresh hot spanish (Dominican/Puerto Rican style) dishes and fritura. On a regular day you will find, Arroz con grandules (Rice and peas), White rice, Moro (RIce and Beans Mixed) Sometimes the rice contains meat, sometimes it contains vegetables. For proteins the options are usually, Pollo Guisado, Chuleta Guisado, and Carne Guisade (stewed chicken, stewed pork chops, stewed beef) Fried pork chops, grilled chicken, bacalao (stewed cod with tomatoes and potatoes). For Fritura there are Pastelitos (empanadas, beef, chicken, or ham and cheese), Kipes, Beef Patties, Bollita de Yuca and the list goes on. I literally eat almost any everything on this menu, the portions are huge as you can can a $3, $5, $7 plate and the $7 will feed three moderately hungry people. Food is clean and full of amazing flavor at a bargain. Staff is friendly and will explain anythin necessary if you arent used to this kind of food.

It's very much cafeteria style and you do have a place to sit but it is bare Bones Here's what we ended up getting Pancit which was yummy. My major gripe with it was that it was served cold. I was honestly so hungry that I didn't care but had it been served hot it would have been smashing Lumpia was piping hot and was delicious. I actually would have preferred that to be a little cooler so it didn't burn my tongue but whatever Mango drink was good Lychee drink was good We did pick up one of the desserts that they had in the fridge that was green and star-shaped and I can't tell you the name of it because they couldn't tell me either and there was no label but it was mildly sweet and actually refreshing to eat. They take credit card. They have parking. They serve with a smile. If you're coming for the ambiance you will be disappointed. But if you're coming for the food then this is for you!

I came here with a friend and would highly recommend the buddy system haha (forreal tho) I've lived in Providence for the last 10 years and still felt a tad uncomfortable because of random strangers soliciting and sleeping outside of the store. I came out happy as a duck though cause it was totally worth it!!! It's a convenience store/bakery/taco shop. Random two tables in the middle of the store to dine in. It's different for me to see because it's clearly a bodega but it definitely works cause peeps were waiting for their food. Overall, I will DEFINITELY keep on coming back for the friendly service and deliciously refreshing MANGONADAS!!!

Walking in feels like I walked back into the late 1990s, which is not necessarily a bad thing. There's just something about it, from the layout of the store to the staff and the general vibe. Anyways, it was my first time trying mangonada and I personally was not impressed but I had friends that liked it. The mangos wasn't ripe and it tasted like they had pineapples in it instead of mangos. I wasn't a fan of the sweet and savory taste of it. It had a bit of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy at the same time, which was not my jam. But if you are into that, this may be for you. Hope that helps.

They prepare the food in front of you and have a couple tables so you can eat your food inside. The tongue taco was flavorful and tender, and the chunks were big which I really enjoyed. The quesadilla was good, but the way it was rolled up reminded me a lot of a burrito. I wish I had asked for sour cream because that would've made it so much better. I couldn't decide whether I wanted steak or chicken, so I asked for half and half. Both were very tender, but I did like the steak better. There is plenty of parking.
