It is a super small park, shaped like a triangle with traffic on all three sides, no parking lot, playground, or restrooms. It is a short distance from Ryan Park. Lavretta Park is more of a neighborhood park than a destination park. They have a nice play area…read moreand a decent walking path. I enjoyed my time at this park and it was a nice place to wind down after a long work day. I am sure that the neighborhood residents enjoy this park and many great memories will be forged here. There was a group of black men and a woman harassing me to speak to them and kept beckoning me to go up to them. I ignored them but they kept yelling the whole time that I made the round of the park until I go in my car. And when my family stepped out of the church, then they started yelling and harassing them too. They were yelling things like that I shouldn't be going to church if I don't want to speak to them. It was very unsettling. There should be more police presence in these tourist areas to make sure that people are not being harassed. If it was that unsettling in the middle of the day, I could only imagine at night.

Cathedral Square is a municipal park - It is bordered by the streets of North Claiborne, Dauphin, North Jackson, and Conti. A little history, This space, at one time, was Campo Santo - which was Mobile's Catholic cemetery (18th Century). The area that is now Cathedral Square quickly became a commercial block filled with buildings after the relocation of the cemetery. The buildings were then demolished in 1979 to create a public park facing the Cathedral. The current park and layout have been here for some time now. There were a few people here, as it was starting to warm up quite a bit and it didn't take too long to get pretty hot (really humid). But if you are going to check out the Cathedral - then this is a nice little green space to see it from and get some pretty cool pictures of the Cathedral.

This park is nice wooded park in the downtown area of Fairhope near the pier. The trails are nicely…read moremaintained even though they are not paved. However, be careful as the roots from the pines run across the trails and if you are not careful you could fall. This is a nice park to bird watch or for the young ones to find creatures. I never knew this existed until today and have lived in Baldwin County all my life.

You can visit this park and the other three in a single day because these parks are right next to one another. This park is on a hill, and one part of the park is a small Long Leaf Pine Forest, the other part a park with a memorial, veterans fountain, and benches atop a hill overlooking Mobile Bay. I did see one or two cars parked along the park for free, and I did not see any no parking signs, but I think most people that visit either park at Fairhope Municipal Pier or at Fairhope Municipal Beach at the bottom of the hill. There are no restrooms or playground (s) at this park, it is more devoted to nature, but restrooms, BBQs, and picnic tables are available downhill at Fairhope Municipal Beach. Most of the people I saw at or around the park were walking for exercise or walking thier dogs, like myself. Quiet and beautiful.

nice spot for an outing. i went around 9am on a cloudy chance of drizzle rain Friday near the end…read moreof June. parking was easy. there was a good amount of people walking/exercising along the sidewalks not too crowded, no congestion. i went to get some sand and water time along with taking some doll pictures. the only draw back i experienced was the noise of a lawnmower while i was taking some cool doll shots by the water fountain.

This park has a very small beach, but if you want a larger beach, just walk north to the park on the other side of The Fairhope Municipal Pier, that is Fairhope Municipal Beach, that park has BBQ's near picnic tables, restrooms,and a playground on the beach. This park has benches and tables, trees, a rock area under a oak tree. This park is two levels, an upper and lower, I did not see the upper level, only the bottom level closer to the water. My dog really enjoyed it, I saw other people out very early, walking, exercising, & with their doggies. This is a very clean park, no vagrancy, litter, doggy doo anywhere. Parking is right next to South Beach Park at Fairhope Municipal Pier.

I came here to Centennial Plaza or also know as Foley Park just randomly. It was a quiet Sunday and…read morealthough I had no intentions of hanging out here, Foley Park was a good spot to simply sit down on a bench and relax. In fact, a lot of people were passing through the park so it was a beautiful day outside to sort of "people watch". Foley Park or this Centennial Plaza is located right off the main road while driving through Foley. Well, just to back up a little...the real reason I was visiting Foley was to have lunch at famous...Lambert's Cafe, where I hear they're known for throwing rolls all over the place and serving vintage southern fried food and catfish. I was excited to go to Lambert's. The only problem was when I arrived at Lambert's, the line to even put my name down on the wait list extended out to the front door. Ugh, what a disappointment. So...I decided to return to Lambert's later on in the day. And that's how I discovered this Centennial Plaza/Foley Park. Just needing a place to hang out for a little, this Foley Park was ideal to walk around and take it easy. When I visited here back in autumn, the weather was perfect and I actually appreciated sitting down on one of the many benches while taking a step back and simply chilling out. Hopefully, eventually, Lambert's would settle down a little and then I could return. I actually spent about two hours here at Centennial Plaza and enjoying the setting and cozy surroundings of the park. It was a pleasant way to break up my Sunday. Unfortunately when I left here and returned to Lambert's Cafe, the line was still very long and pretty unbearable to wait out. Too bad. In the end, I never got to sit down and eat at Lambert's. And for me being from South Florida and along my cross country road trip, I knew I wasn't returning here to Foley anytime soon. Well, still, I'd just like to point out how I liked my time spent here at Centennial Plaza/Foley Park. This was a cool spot I discovered on a whim and basically hanging out here, walking around and casually taking a seat on a bench was a good way to pass the time regardless of whether I got to eat at Lambert's or not. Although this park is just your typical quiet, public venue in the heart of Foley, I'd like to give it some recognition and a positive mention.

I have never seen a park ANYWHERE cleaning anything. And, that shows by how filthy everything is everywhere else. I am very impressed with this park.
