This is my second time going to this Spangles as a traveler and today, I'm just not sure what happened this time. We did drive-thru and ordered our meal which were two double cheeseburgers with a large side of garlic Parmesan fries and a small strawberry sundae. The fries appear to be okay just super salty but when I took a second bite of my burger there was a long, straight brunette hair wedged between the patties and I immediately stopped eating and pulled it out. My boyfriend is a redhead and I have dark brown curly hair. Genuinely this is disgusting and I decided to just ditch the burger as I was completely grossed out. I don't think I want to try the sundae at this point. I do hope this is accidental but it is a whole strand of hair and it's just really disgusting to have this happen. read more

Tonight my daughter brought me a Meal deal from the Central/Tyler location for my dinner, she ordered a Cheeseburger and Fries with a diet Dr. Pepper and a strawberry sundae, what we received was not fit to eat, except the delicious fries. the bun was burned so badly that u could smell it through the bag and the burger was just as bad, there was nothing on the sandwich except meat and cheese ,the sundae was mixed with both Strawberries and hard chocolate. We always hit up a Spangles when driving through the state. I recommend the kids meal if you're not prepared to gorge yourself with the adult mean portion (HUGE). Good sourdough options. Facility clean enough, but not super friendly (very busy drive thru this evening). Waited 10-15 min for 4 meals. Loved the Oreo ice cream sandwich. read more

I gave this Spangles one star only because I've had decent service there before and there was no other option. My last visit, I went through the drive-through. Not only was the server extremely rude, when I got to my place of work, there was a huge hair in my breakfast sandwich. I called the store and, since I was already at work and couldn't come get a new meal, I was promised coupons in the mail. Two weeks later, and I have received nothing. I did an online critique of my meal and again, no response. Rude service, defective food, and no corporate follow up? That means Spangles will no longer be getting my business. read more

This has to be the most over-rated place in town! The burgers are greasy and average, the fries suck, the gyros are dry and tasteless. The only thing I have enjoyed here has been the breakfast sourdough egg/chz sandwich. Plus the service is usually friendly, that is actually the only thing saving the place from one star. Yuk! Of all the Spangles in this area the 47th St one is my favorite. Why? It's the cleanest I've found! Not by accident either - whenever business slows a bit there's one or two associates on the floor cleaning tables, booths and floors until they shine - chrome and all. This place gets busy often so they have their work cut out for them. The Spangles menu presents a wide array of choices; you shouldn't have any problem finding a burger that fits your fancy - and if you're not feeling like one there are several other selections. They also have a breakfast menu that offers interesting options (instead of bland McDonalds wanna-bes). If you're in the area on Mondays, you're in luck because it's half-price burger night - every Monday evening 5 - 10 PM, from a select menu. I just had the parmesan bacon cheeseburger, and I savored every bite - what a symphony of flavors! Add their fabulous fries, which you can get with flavored seasonings and you have a great meal. Bring the whole family, cuz you can afford it here. But don't stop there, there's ice cream with different blends and sizes - or a simple cone if that's what you're feeling; it's cold and tasty. read more

Was once a great place. I lived in Wichita between 2003 & 2006 & Spangles was my favorite place to eat. I've since moved away, but have always visited family in Wichita regularly. Something unfortunate has happened to this place. Likely, a change in management. My last several visits have been highly disappointing. & my last visit: I literally feel ripped off. Tastes like any other Spangles but I will go to any other fast food location nearby before I will go here. Every time I go, it takes 15-20 minutes in the drive thru, whether they are busy or not. read more

Every time I go to this Spangles I order the same thing. Every time the burger has been raw in the middlewhen I get it home. I don't really understand what is so hard about throwing a frozen burger on a grill and making sure that it is properly cooked? Most of the other Spangles in Wichita I have never had problems with with this one in Derby I always do. read more

Over the years, I've tried to like them. I kept trying, because my husband likes them. If he's driving then (sadly) we go to STRANGLES. Well, we used to, until I refused to order anything and he gave up trying to take me there! First of all my main annoyance with Strangles is their endless upselling. Once, I can understand. But sometimes we have been asked for as many as three or four upsells, and at that point we will drive off. Just take my order for Pete's sakes! Stop interrupting me, shut up and listen and maybe you'll get the order right when you LISTEN and stop talking over me! Corndogs: how can corn dogs still be ice cold in the middle? This is how I get them at every single Spangles location. My suggestion: dare to cook them to the deep golden color they should be, and I bet they'll be just right! "Please pull ahead and wait": I understand that they might need to cook some fresh fries (which is always appreciated). But, when no one else is in the drive through, I am not going to pull ahead. Why? Because once they definitely forgot about us. Another time I'm pretty sure they forgot about us as it was 20 minutes later when we asked, what the heck is going on, and they appeared clueless as to why we were asking..? My husband was forgotten about at the downtown Broadway store and had to leave without food because his lunch time was up. Any time I tell them I'd rather not pull forward (and we only do this if no one else is in the drive through) they act snotty and rude. I love having the window just slammed in my face, and then my food SHOVED out the window wordlessly as if you think I suck. If someone else pulls in then I will move, but don't blame me for being paranoid that your previous screw ups are going to turn it into another hour-long ordeal while we wait for someone to figure out what's going on. You have my money already, it's not like I can just leave when I'm frustrated that you have forgotten that we are sitting and waiting! And, when there are 3-4 (or more) other cars waiting for you, where do you expect us to GO? Maybe it wouldn't be so frustrating, except that when we've returned comment cards, NO ONE EVER REPLIES. It's like wasting postage for nothing. Why have the cards out if you aren't even going to acknowledge the person taking the time to give you valuable feedback that you didn't have to pay someone to give you? To me, nothing says it louder and clearer than NOT spending my money there. You don't need a focus group to figure that out. read more

I'm giving them one star because I had too. My little brother and I had been waiting at the counter to order for about 5 minutes but none of the employees cared. When they were finally ready to take an order, instead of taking ours they took the persons next to us. And then they took the next person after that. The manager and the employee at the register even looked at us while we were up at the front and didn't say anything. Service is horrible here. We had to get in line again to get their attention. Kind of the extreme opposite of the 612 N Broadway store. This store taught me to check take-out before leaving. They did offer to reimburse me the next time I was there, but I never made it back. read more
