Wow, So we really enjoyed this food! We wanted to try a local place that had decent ratings so we gave Spangles a try. The cashier was friendly and guess what? You get free seasoning on your fries, there's a few different flavors to choose from or you can just get them plain(ranch, salt and vinegar, garlic Parmesan are just the few I remember). Hubby ordered the sourdough bacon burger while I got the double steak burger. Both burgers tasted fresh and delicious. The sweet tea tasted good too, not too strong but not weak either, in case you were wondering. Ha! We were very surprised and happy with this restaurant and would recommend to anyone wanting to try a local fast food joint in the area. Good job! read more

Ultra retro diner for breakfast lunch and dinner. Drive thru or dine in option. They even serve margaritas to go! We ordered breakfast via drive thru upon leaving Wichita to head back to KC and our entire order was outstanding! We ordered a banana smoothie, strawberry banana smoothie, breakfast pita, steak and egg on sourdough, breakfast platter, ultimate bagel, strawberry cheesecake slide, lemonade and an oj slush. I stopped here for breakfast on 11/12/23 at 9:45 AM. I eat at Spangles in Wichita all the time. While Spangles as a whole isn't known for their surgically clean dining areas and 5-star wait-staff, this location was at a whole new level of scariness. Upon entering the store and being in the only one in line, I waited for close to 5 minutes for them to fix a ticket for someone else in the apparently only open register. This is before they even started my order. The guy taking my order couldn't confidently answer a simple question about one of their main menu items. Regardless, I went ahead and placed my order and slid back to the back on the overly-greasy floors and waited. I stopped into the mens restroom. It was hands down the most disgusting and foul-smelling bathroom I think I've ever experienced. Not like someone had just used it, but like dead-body rotten sewer rotting food horror. Not trying to exaggerate, it was astonishing how horrible the bathroom is. Anyway, got my food, it was prepared sloppily (90% of the egg was on one side of the bagel). But to be fair, this is kind of a standard for all Spangles. Why I keep going back is beyond me. They have the weirdest tasting soda I've ever had, so I quit ordering those years ago. But this location in El Dorado needs to one be condemned and raised. It's disgusting and ruined my appetite. I needed to eat once I arrived in El Dorado KS. According to the Yelp reviews, this was the best place to eat a hamburger. As always, Yelp was spot on. Upon entering Spangles, your greeted by Elvis. (I took a picture but the ap seems to not be able to add today). I loved the '50's atmosphere. I ordered and sat down to eat. It was the 6th restaurant I've eaten inside since COVID. The cheeseburger was very good, thin like Freddy's. The French fries were thin cut and tasty. I'll be sure to stop there again. Spangles seems to be in south KS. It's as good as Whataburger and that sets the standard high. read more

Sorry for the late, late review, as I visited this restaurant in January. Anyways, I was on my way back to Texas from Illinois and I thought I'd give Spangles a try! The food was absolutely delicious and was picture perfect, as you can see. The order taker, Damian, was incredibly nice and pleasant. I also ordered some chicken strips to go, with sweet chili sauce, and I'd definitely recommend this. If I'm ever passing through and need a quick bite, I'll be sure to stop by this Spangles location again! read more

Made a lil burger stop in El Dorado. I never miss an opp to detour through E Dawg to stop at Spangles. First off you get wonderful small midwestern town hospitality. Greeted through the door with a hi, welcome and a smile. No way it can go anywhere but up from there. So return the greetings and the smile. The burger is real beef cooked to order perfect. Fresh fresh veggies. Onion rings a big with a healthy portion all for a price below the competition. 50s style restaurant. Covid precautions in place to make sure your dine in is safe. Not real happy with their diet drink. It's not very fizzy. Mostly syrup. Even with ice in it, the drink tasted warm. On the plus side, the fries are delicious! I don't even need to add one of the flavors. I've tried all the flavors. Just keep it simple for me, thanks. I had the text for the special sandwich, a blue cheese burger. It's pretty decent. Didn't even eat. Walked inside on a snowy day the kid with the bush on his head shook his head I asked him what time they closed and he turned around and replied same as everyday. First time there the last time. Definitely lost some business due to lack of customer service skills. We weren't rude but he felt the need to be rude towards us. Food sometimes takes a while, but overall I have no other complaints. They stay on top of the tables and seating so I never see any tears or anything at all derelict. Bathrooms are always clean, unlike other places you need a rowboat to get to the urinals or stalls. read more

Went here after the Double D bad experience. Wife was not in a good mood after Double D is Spangles is not her favorite fast food restaurant, but is mine. They were still on the breakfast menu but they let us order off both menus. I ordered the Sausage Breakfast Bowl which has Eggs, Sausage, Hashbrowns & Gravy in a about 12 oz bowl. She ordered the Philly cheese sandwich and fries and 2 med drinks and it was ready in 3 min . She forgot to ask for no bell peppers on her sandwich and no salt on the fries, but she liked my Sausage bowl so we had to swap. It works for me because I love all their food. Local fast food/diner joint - diner with order at the counter approach. Instead of burritos, it has breakfast pita - same filling, different casing. Orange slushy is a nice option. The burgers are not that great, skip them and get the sourdoughs instead. They do sell varieties of shakes too. read more
