I called Friday afternoon, the man who answered the phone didn't introduce himself, didn't offer condolences, and told me he couldn't do anything until he talked to my father's nurse from the hospital. After going back and forth between the hospital and the man who was "helping" me, he finally said that he could call the hospital and get the information. I said thank you and waited... The next day, after not hearing anything, I called back to follow up. The woman I spoke to said there was no record of my dad/my call etc. She said she would reach out to someone to call me, that they were driving, and would call me as soon as they got to their destination... By Saturday afternoon I'd given up and changed to a different funeral home, even though it would cost me a couple hundred dollars more. As of writing this on Monday, they never called me.
