We had a reservation but we were a little early. They said we could wait or sit at the bar. We decided to sit at the bar - new for me and I loved it! The bartenders here are conversational and attentive. I grabbed a glass of their rose cava and my friendly got their Bloody Mary - a perfect way to start off brunch. We split an order of their biscuits, which came in a skillet (so they were hot hot hot!) with a fruit compote on top. This was my first time having it and it was delicious. The perfect mix of savory and sweet. Then I got my favorite, their Croque Monsieur. As always, it was delicious! Cheesey and meaty goodness. My friend got their steak and eggs and said that they were also good. We were able to sit and chat and our food came out quickly. The bar here is a game changer!

This is in a newer part of Midtown/North Hills behind the North Raleigh Hilton on Social Drive. It's right next to the new Mezcalito and a toast place. There's a giant parking garage you can park in that leads right to the lobby of the building which is next to Pranzo, so if it's raining you don't have to get wet. Right now there is still a parking lot you can park in, but the Owner told us that will become a Lifetime Fitness at some point and the garage will be the way to go. First thought on entering was what a warm inviting comfortable space. It's not big, but there are bar seats, smaller tables and tables for big parties. We were offered still or sparkling water, but caught her in time to request a third option of tap water. The lunch menu is relatively small, but nice choices. There are salads, a couple pasta dishes and some great paninis, which we both opted for. I got the Traditional Salami one, and she got the Porchetta. They were served on wood which was a nice touch. No side dish with them, but my Salami was so rich, I could only eat half of it anyway. Sis polished off her Porchetta. We can both attest to quality ingredients and great sandwich craftsmanship. Dessert was tempting and so were the wine options, but we will save those for next time. She showed us the Dinner menu which has even more great-sounding things to try as well. One of the things we witnessed that was especially pleasing was after a table was cleared, gloves were worn when setting the table. So even though they have just opened, you can tell that great care and thought has been given to every detail. We were happy to get to speak with the Owner who we fondly remembered from Lafayetteville Village and wish him the best for this awesome new addition to our city. Highly recommend!
