It took 1.5 months to secure my loan…read moreafter several mo of going back and forth about blue prints that she didn't have but was advertising that it was one of their homes (I paid $2,500 for a blue print that they should have had), then it took them 6 mos to apply for a permit (total from start to finish was 19 mo.) during negotiations she told me my ideas were cockamamie, she charged me $7500 to put a snack bar in (I drew a picture with the cabinet sizes and that was included in the $7500 quote) and then she tried to charge me an additional cost for the cabinets, as soon as I signed the contract, that was the end of communication! When we moved in the master bath sink faucet was a used facet, with calcium deposit all over it (we are on a well)??? Master shower did not have hot water (come to find out after cutting a hole in the wall, the hot and cold pipes are switched and they used a knock off of a Moen water valve (no wonder it was leaking), Air conditioner did not work and now 2 years later the blower motor had to be replaced, after we moved in and used the dishwasher, it wouldn't work (burnt wire nut), rough electric contractors asked me who did the finish electric because they were never asked to come back...... (so who did it)?, there is splattered paint, chucks of mortar and stucco all over the front and back Lanias, garage corner and front porch columns did not have caps on top of fake brick base and were left looking sloppy, tray ceiling and light is not centered with Picture window in dinning room and window crooked and very hard to lock, garage door into the house fell off 2 days after moving in because it only was being held up with thin 1" screws, we did not get any shelves for either bathroom vanities (told us they cost extra), granite snack bar wobbles, gap in corner of patio doors (you can see outside), tan grout on white base trim throughout house. Called and sent an itemized excellent sheet by rooms a week before the 1 year warranty and still have not had any response (1.5 years later), much less finishing the list from my walk through inspection. As far as the value-the cheapest lights and windows you could buy! Quality-none!!! Service-absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE unless you enjoy talking to a message machine and no return call(s), I was told she would send pictures because we were from out of town but I would have to wait several weeks to get them after calling several times and talking to an answering machine. Thanks to having neighbors that would go over and take pictures for me. No idea who could rate this company anything over a 0! But if I don't put something, then anything I said would not make anyone looking to build with them a reason to look what happened to me. I wouldn't try to sell this as a spec home much less a "custom home".

He can do the work and run the business. The cabinet guys he sent to finish the job did so admirably. The finished paint work was completed, door panels, cabinet frames, all new soft close door hinges, an upgrade. The cabinet guys are work oriented, no complaints, no smoke. I wish we could leave a 0 stars to this business, we contracted Connors Decorative Concrete Inc. to…read morerefurbish our pool deck, replace the drains and painted, Jeffrey Connor was the person that identified as the owner and my husband and I signed the contract with for $4,000, deposit of $2,000 They (2 people) start 8/27 they worked on the deck for 3 days during this time my husband was concern about the way they were doing the drain because they covered the drain with concrete and left a little cut straight over it that was the only way for the water to go through in the drain , Jeffrey explain to my husband that was the only way to do it for the water to go out, when I get home the day that day suppose finished the job , one of the color that we picked was wrong , we called him and he said that was a mistake and he came on Saturday 8/30 painted with the color we ordered, he called and asked my husband for the rest of the money that Saturday, my husband ZELLED $2,000.00 the balance pending. We wait until Sunday afternoon to walk on the deck and look at the final product, for our surprise the concrete on the drain was all cracked and collapsing, there were cracks on different areas of the deck and the paint was all uneven around the pool, we called Connors to come and check the situation, he came couple of days later and promise that this time he will do the drain different way and the right way, and he will be painting around the pool and fix the cracks. He installed a drain net on top of the ditch but multiple pieces attached unevenly to each other, the ditch is to big for the net, there's cracks still on the deck areas, we called him and again he offer to send back $1,050.00 for the drain A company is charging us $2,250.00 to fix this mess. We want at least half of the money back to have this done the right way, NEVER trust reviews this Company is 5 stars but they 3 reviews over supposedly 10 years of experience, definitely friends and family rate.

The employees on our project (except for Sandra and Eva - they rock) lack attention to detail. We had incorrect doors hung on one cabinet, 2 cabinets gouged due to careless removal, and vent and plumbing cuts that look like my 5 year cut them, the hardware/fixtures where installed sloppily and crooked, our microwave vent was broken during reinstallation. We even had a guy leave for lunch and never return. Bob immediately took responsibility and brought in a gentleman by the name of Mark who fixed what he could. Fast forward to backsplash installation. I had to call the office to have the install instructions explained by Bob. We were all on the same page so I thought. After 1/2 days work the job was not completed and the tile was hung so poorly that it needs to be taken down and rehung correctly. I emailed Bob and this is the response I got: Good morning, It appears that at this point we/AHRC owe you a full credit for the backsplash. Please feel free to seek a different installer. The balance will be minus the backsplash tile credited back to you. Thank you While I appreciate the tile credit what about all the other damages? Wheeler suggested "their guy". Their guy was considerably overpriced by $8,000.00. Wheeler then suggested we get a second quote and when we did it was considerably less. Wheeler would not work with us unless we used "their guy" which is not in their contract or disclosure. They apparently don't need anyone's help with generating business so they told our real estate agent who use to send them business. Their customer service is lacking in professionalism if you want anything special for your home. They will tell you they can do anything and they will accommodate you. But then will become very resistant when the moment arrives if you attempt to make changes. Roy Bass Their real estate agent in their office has complete attitude which apparently is encouraged in this business giving a feeling of a toxic environment. We bought a piece of property that was their listing and when we inquired on details he was less than cooperative nor friendly. When he found out we had our own agent he attempted to withhold information and was snarky with his responses. He has the customer service skills of Saguaro cactus. I had originally referred a friend when we first started our process with wheeler and when he and his husband were meeting with them they were uncomfortable with wheeler. They got a bad vibe. Needless to say wheeler lost their business as well. My friend went with McFarland who was much more courteous and accommodating. There are many builders in the area that are far more friendly and accommodating this business should not be anyone's first choice.

I met with Alex that same day to go over everything, and since we were doing the rest of the project remotely, he recommended that we work with Rebecca at The Tile Shop to help with tile and grout selection. After we made our choices, Alex picked everything up himself and got to work. He protected the workspace with drop cloths and covered the countertops, and throughout the install, he sent regular photo updates and write-ups so I always knew what was going on. Once the job was done, I had my Sales Agent stop by to check the work--and he was so impressed he took Alex's info to recommend him to other clients! Couldn't be happier with the results.
