This was a lot of fun. My partner and I walked in and shot at zombies for an hour that went by like it was a few minutes. The owner (I think) was super nice, knowledgeable, and patient with us getting everything set up. There was a good selection of games. The tech was top grade. I love that everyone has a separate 10' canopy but we were still "together" in the game. $35/hour per person is great for someone who doesn't have a full VR setup. read more

We are on a spring break trip and Solvang is one of our stop for the night. The town has all the eateries, shopping, and snacks you can think of but decided to look up an activity that would accommodate my two moody teenagers and sweet 8 years old. Saw this place and decided to give it a try. Interesting concept! Kids loved it. Owner was very accommodating and responsive we we call to schedule. It was a fun experience to add to our trip! We spent a day in Solvang and wifey was getting tired of us anchoring her down while she tried to window shop and....basically shop. I looked through Yelp and saw Space VR with decent ratings. We made a reservation and had a great experience. The gentleman was friendly, helpful, and patient with our son (big bonus!). We were assigned an area, ran through a fairly quick tutorial and then we were asked which game we wanted then we were in our way to VR'dom! We had a great time. The quality of the games were cool and the controls were fairly easy. The only two (minor) items were we needed the owner to come back to change us to a different game. Maybe this was due to us being newbies. The other issue which was a bummer was when we were playing a PvP round against each other, someone hacked into our game and basically sniped us continually. When we said something to the owner, he said that we should created a more complexed passcode. Ok....good to know for next time. This is a great place and we had a fun time. I had no idea this even existed! On a whim, I took my nephews into Solvang and went looking for something fun to do. We thought we'd try Space VR and I'm so glad we did. What a blast! What a great concept to move from old school arcade to virtual reality arcade. My nephews & I played a group game and had the opportunity to work together while shooting zombies. Yes, zombies and I'm not sure who had more fun, me or them, LOL. I highly recommend trying Space VR! It's just flat out fun!! One suggestion... having a clear menu of what games, experiences, etc. are available. I thought there were only the 8 or so based upon a poster on the wall but after completing our session found out there were hundreds of choices. Okay, let me first say we drive here nearly every weekend from Santa Barbara and are constantly bringing kid's friends to experience this unique place. The owner is clearly a kid at heart and makes this an event. He is patient while teaching all the newbies in the group how to use the very high-end VR equipment. They have over 500 different games to do. I did room escape with my son, while the wife did a nature tour and the other kids killed zombies, or battled gladiators. It is very reasonable at $20 a half hour or $35 an hour. An hour usually is the max for us, as you are pretty zapped after that. If parents aren't into it, they can drop the kids and walk into town and enjoy Solvang if they want. This is a very unique, well run, and reasonably priced activity to do with the kids; don't pass this up. I would imagine this would be a dream birthday party idea too. read more

Space VR is a hidden gem in Solvang. Kudos to the owner, Jaime, for a superb experience for the whole family. Adults and kids (10 and 8 yr olds) had a blast and 1 hour went by so fast. Me and my daughter both love to play virtual reality games here. I have played many different games and truly enjoyed them all. I find the immersion to be the perfect escape from a long day of reality. There is something for everyone. My daughter has her favorites like Job Simulator and Moss. I like to play more active games like Beat Saber or parts of Ready Player One. My favorite for learning and s variety is The Lab. Not just for kids. I suggest everyone should give it s try. Awesome find on an action packed vacation - we spent all morning on the beach and came for lunch to Solvang on a very hot summer Saturday. Space VR was godsend and I'm having difficulties remembering a more accommodating, patient and friendly customer service than the one we got at Space VR.
