I don't know how to rate this place. The vibe is nice , dj was great , and venue is well kept! However, Houston is robbing my generation of their money honey! $40 for entry $40 for any dress code violation (which isn't posted anywhere outside) $300 for the smallest table (since you have to buy at least one bottle at $200) $800 for a section with minimum 4 bottles ($200 each) The really interesting part is the whole club is ALL sections. My experience at Space on January 14 2023 was definitely disappointing.I had the main section & was charged $25 for wearing a hoodie I automatically knew the club was money hungry and I knew I definitely would never be going back. I'm giving this place 5 stars as I had no issues. No wait in line and parking was conveniently located behind the club. I was kind of skeptical about this place because I have never heard of this place, couldn't find any real reviews and their social media presence was lacking. My friend from out of town booked a section here for her birthday and I was thinking like oh lawd, this night will be just ok. But to my surprise, this hidden gem was huge. Went here for my birthday service and it was HORRIBLE. Bottle girl was very very rude had a nasty attitude as soon as we walked in. She kept rushing us. Bartender was VERY rude. Water tasted like sewage, club soda was trash. The pineapple juice tasted like 90% water, they had no ice. The restrooms were filthy, pee in the toilets no toilet paper and smelled horrible. I went to space nightclub this past Saturday and this was the most unorganized, hectic night club I have ever been to. We had bottle service and had to wait in a hour line before we were even seated inside. The GA line was a shorter wait, which is insane. Me and my group were seated and we didn't receive our bottle or waters outside of juice for a hour and 50 minutes. We got our bottle 30 minutes before closing at 1:36, and had to watch everyone on our floor receive multiple bottles, water, and customer service around us. We were riddled with excuses. I only do bottle service in every city I go and Space in Houston is by far my worst experience ever. From their bouncers being unorganized, not knowing what entrances are for what packages and which lines are for what tickets, in addition to them not honoring the free admission by a certain time noted on THEIR flyer, to them charging EXTRA for not being in "dress code." This dress code isn't listed anywhere and was probably made on the spot since it was just a comment about not wearing heels. This would've been great to know as I was visiting from another state to attend! Next, the set up in the club is the worst I've ever seen! I reserved my ticket and got there before 11pm so that I could get in free, however, they had me and my girls standing in the wrong line for 45 min. I've read reviews about people sending $100 deposits to book a section and when they arrive they are told they aren't on the list and to contact whoever they booked with. I honestly, not for a second, thought that would happen to me. I booked a week in advance for my friend's bachelor party. I was promised a section by promoter Corey Beverly. I flew from Los Angeles, and others from Louisiana. We arrive and there are hundreds of people, all my friends are excited! We have a nice section, we requested 5 bottles.-- "My name is Dequiante Brown"... "Did you say, Rodney Brown?" ... "No mam, d-e-q-u-i-a-n-t-e , last name Brown" (In retrospect I should've been Rodney) . Girl can't find name, sends text message and security escorts us out of line. Many questions are being asked in which the security guard had all the wrong answers. "This happens all the time", "contact whoever you booked with, and no I can't go get him" . I reach out to the number I was given to contact if there was a problem with my reservation. They lead me on as if something was being fixed.. We finally had enough embarrassment for the night and asked for a refund. They refunded me $200 instead of the 100. I'm guessing someone offered more money for the section that we reserved. I would be lying if I said I wasn't mad, because our night was ruined after being denied entry. I just wish this establishment would respect their patrons and adopt a more responsible and professional process of taking reservations. I didn't know that the club was 18 and over. There were a lot of young people there. The club is a big club. I didn't like the fact that there was a very long line for the restroom on the second floor. I do believe that they should have more restrooms to accommodate their guest. DOOR SCAM BEWARE....I'm 46 years old, traveled the world and I have never experience such a flagrant SCAM at the door of a Nightclub EVER. We were a group 10 with 4 Under 21 years old and had no TABLE/SECTION reservation. After a GOOGLE search of 18 and Up Nightclubs we ended up at SPACE. This was an unplanned outing including my 19 year daughter and 3 of her under 21 friends. We were driving around in a Limo so I did not read the reviews which proved to be regrettable. If I just read a few reviews I could have avoided this frustrating situation as others have voiced similar experiences and complaints. We went to the doorman and requested a table and were quoted $250 which included entry for our party of 10. I agreed and presented my credit card but was told CASH or Cash App only (RED FLAG). I understand why they only accept cash as I would have disputed the credit card 100% after experiencing this scam. I paid the $250 Cash Plus tip and then was directed to the security line. After patting us down and checking ID's we were informed the the Under 21's had to pay $40 each. I thought this should have been disclosed upfront so I politely voiced my concern but we were eager to get in and start having fun so I paid the additional SHADY $160 like a stupid sucker. Upon entry 2 ladies in our group were stopped and asked to pay an additional $20 because they were waring Flat shoes?? At this point I was turned off completely and requested a full refund so we could go elsewhere. I was firmly told no refund would be issued and we could leave or go to our table . After a discussion with our group it was decided not to ruin the night by pressing for the refund so the Ladies paid the additional $20 each and we were finally in ($250, $160, $40). Business have the right to charge whatever they want and customers have the right to accept or decline BUT the business should be upfront with their pricing so the consumer can make a informed decision. We did not like our table location but we had no advanced reservations so we accepted it and still had a good time. This club is Ghetto but its 18 and up so this was to be expected but overall we ended up having a blast. The security kept everything under control, service was acceptable and our group enjoyed the music. To SPACE Owners/Management.. This is your business and you are free to run it how you wish but have your door staff be upfront with pricing. Charging ladies $20 for Flat shoes is not nice BUT tell them before they buy a table and pay cover. I don't think charging under 21 customers $40 cover is unreasonable since if they are not drinking you have to make money somehow. What is unreasonable is quoting price for a table, saying cover for 10 people is included and after payment is made surprising customers with additional fees. Also giving refunds before entry if there is a misunderstanding would be a professional policy. I never take the time to write negative reviews but your door staff was so rude and shameful I had to make an exception. Look at all the consistent negative reviews.. This business needs to be shut down. They took our money ($2500) and we weren't able to get in. Never could make it to the front door, even though we arrived at 10:30/11 pm on NYE. This is how they'll get you: They want you to pay upfront for everything and only wants you to use cash. This is so you can't dispute the charge. We only had a card and they charged us an extra $150 fee just for using a card. We actually made the reservation 2 weeks in advance with a $100 deposit via cash app or apple pay for a section which included a $2400 bottle spend minimum. They contacted us during the day and said we had to come pay the $2400 before the night came, so we did. (worst idea) We get there and we can't even get in, barely can make it to the front door. People had been standing outside since 9pm saying they weren't letting anyone else in, even if you had a section. Also, very unorganized because they don't have a separate line for prepaid customers. They're money hungry clearly because it seems like they gave our section away, maybe even charged someone else for it because how can you be over capacity and people reserved sections?? SCAM ALERT! I came here for new years and booked a section a month in advance and confirmed with the club twice that we were good to go. We got a text the day before new years saying to pay for the remainder of the booth in cash during the day because they knew it would be hectic. We paid $35 for entrance some people in our group paid $58 just about 3 weeks in advance when we arrived a high line @11:30.
