Okay so it took two years to get into Limina for a facial, but after a rough week and a requirement…read morefor some pampering, I called up this morning requesting a facial. Limina has a plethora of options for facials, so much so that I really had no idea what I wanted or needed. so when I arrived Jessica walked out to greet me, looking at my skin. Yes, it is a little unnerving, but it's what I asked for... and she promptly decided on my skin care treatment. She lead me into a room with what can only be described as the most comfortable facial bed ever. I got undressed and into the soft sheets by the time she was back. Jessica takes her time and does things rhythmically and methodically. While other facials have included painful extraction, Jessica's was... well, heavenly. The extraction was literally pain and thus flinch free. And while your scrubs/steams/masks/lotions are working their magic, her hands are working their magic on you. One of the most relaxing massages in memory. I signed up for their membership, which I wasn't planning to do... but 30% off any treatment once a month? That makes it affordable to come in and get a facial regularly. And the facials? Are heaven. Particularly when you're in Jessica's hands. The entire experience cost less than expected, which pleased me greatly.

I have visited Limina three times in the past year or so, each time to have my eyebrows shaped. The…read morefirst two visits were very good experiences: I left with perfectly shaped eyebrows that really complemented my face. However, two days ago I went in for another eyebrow wax with the same esthetician, and came out with a very different result. I asked her to please leave the body of my brow the same width and simply to clean up and define the outline and remove stray hairs. I emphasized that I didn't want the width of my brows to change significantly, and that symmetry was my #1 priority. I also told her that my eyebrow hairs are quite easy to kill off and I would prefer trimming over tweezing/waxing if applicable. Well..... I came out with both eyebrows significantly thinner, asymmetrical in width and length, and with a patch of unwaxed hairs under my right arch. I shared these concerns with the esthetician. She mumbled something about how one side probably wouldn't grow back and hustled me out of the room. She had already applied eyebrow makeup (which I didn't want due to my concerns about infection, esp on freshly waxed skin) without asking me, and this made it even more difficult to really assess the situation, but when I went home, washed my face and really had a look, I was horrified. I have attached a picture below for you all to see for yourselves. I tried calling Limina. I told the receptionist my issue, and she immediately said she'd call me back. Once she did, all she said was "Sure, I guess you can come back now if you want her to fix it." Having been burned already, with a response like that, you can imagine that I didn't return and never will.

There's a bit of a sell of products at the end of the facial but not too pushy... no samples to offer which is tough to sell with pricy medical grade products. Thuy the RMT is amazing at addressing any concerns and offers stretches to help with issues after. Tried out the new location in Langley. Spa is beautiful. Super bright and airy and big too. Booked RMT- unable to book online but was able to book via email with response promptly. RMT is only through one therapist which is only on Tuesdays... bummer, I hope there will be more options later since places like Spautopia has many RMTs so it's easy to have a spa date. So i booked with her. Took me a while to get a spot cus i thought she was in demand turns out she was only there 3 days. So they bate and switched me to a different girl. She was polite and seemed to know what she was doing so i trusted sandy wouldn't entrust her reputation to just anyone. Life altering mistake. I was very clear and said absolutely nothing maroon or fuchsia or dark Under tones. She brings out this 80's fuchsia. And i said hell no but she spent 10 mins convincing me that it won't look like that on and it will turn out light pink nude undertone i wanted. When she was done and i saw. First thing i thought was what the "fuchsia HELL" Then she spent the next 10 mins convincing me that it will fade after a week and look the colour i want. I googled what she said there and a lot of people wrote it would fade so i trusted her. 4 weeks later still look like i walked of the set of a bad 80's sitcom. I called the owner Sandy after the first 10 days and she was very nice and said come in and i will fix it as i must be that 5% that the colour doesn't fade. I made the appointment for that next week. But was later told Sandy could not do them as she has to let the staff that did them fix them. Or she would have to double charge me. Like my time is free to fix there mess up. Now the original girl did a good job on the outer line and it was just the colour that was brutal. So i said fine. This time i would not be listening to her best guess and pick the colour i know to be rite. So now it's 3 weeks and the colour didn't fade and I'm going in. The same girl bring out the same colour. And I'm like no no and pick a light nude pink i originally wanted. But because it's lighter it doesn't really show. I'm mortified. So now i know im going to have to have them lazer removed. Very painful and expensive. And i cant take any more time of work. I get to my car and look closer and omg I'm going to throw up. She messed up the out line it's crooked and looks like a toddler drew it. She drew outside of it. Like why would u do that. All she had to do was take a lighter colour and colour in the middle to try and mask the fuchsia. But she decided to also draw out side the lines that didn't need to be touched as they where fine. A damn kindergartener can keep with in the lines. Did they do it on purpose? I was so polite and kind about it to them but now the gloves are off i called and the owner ist in till have way thee next week. Omg how can i show my face any where. I'm going to have to lock my self at home. I can't go to work like this. Now i just found out that trying to lazer off the colour will actually turn it gray. This place should be shut down. They didn't even have covid protocol or ask me if Iv travelled or have any systems no one wore a mask. I'm calling A litigation attorney we have in the family. Now that I've been crying for hours. Avoid this place unless you want to come out like hatchet face from the movie cry baby. Don't ever go here or it will be the single worst decision of ur life. Wish someone wrote a review like this because i would have listened. Go to Vancouver some where that has real training and experience.

I booked weeks in advance over the phone, and received a reminder phone call the day before. I asked for the couples room and was told it was not available because of the services we were receiving. That should have been a BIG red flag. I figured that was okay as my significant other can enjoy his massage and first facial ever by himself and unwind. I wanted to support small businesses too and that is why I picked this spa. Prices seemed reasonable as well. I show up on the day of the appointment only to find out they booked a massage and facial for myself and only a massage for him. There was no facial appointment available for him when I asked. This was not a relaxing start to the day and I was so upset as the message left on my phone stated we had massage and facial appointments booked. I guess the voicemail was meant to remind me that services were booked. Just not what I had wanted. The receptionist offered tea and chocolates and a phone call from the manager. What would that have fixed for what was suppose to be a relaxing spa day? At that moment, I was extremely disappointed. I asked the receptionist how is this quality time for two people if my other half was just waiting around for me and I had originally booked the services as a couple. No good response other than they were sorry for the error, I can have some chocolates, tea and maybe a phone call from their manager. I did not get either services I booked and left in tears. No phone call from manager afterwards on the following week and I did not think it was my job to call for some compensation for wasting my time driving there. We ended up going to dinner at West Vancouver as originally planned after the spa day was cut short. The meal was not enjoyable as this experience ruined the mood of our quality time. It looks like a well kept small spa. Small seating area at the entrance. There are some merchandise, make up and lots of skin care products on display for sale. Free parking at the hotel parking lot. Customer service was lacking and the receptionist was poor at following up at booking errors. She did not notify her manager. I suggest if anyone wants to book a couples spa package of any sort, go to a larger and more established spa where there are ample staff working. Also, make sure to be very clear you are booking for two people for each type of service (I don't know how that went wrong the first place when I called) and call to confirm times for both yourself and anyone else you have booked. I made the error that the voicemail I received as accurate of what I had booked.
