I hired Elisandra for micro needling. She did awesome the 1st & 2nd sessions. Upon the 3rd visit I remember her asking me where was I a day prior and I remember telling her I took a nap. I'm not even sure if she used a 1.5 because my skin wasn't even red when I went home to check. I've had noticed I HAD dark circles under my eyes, which she really worked on this time, they unfortunately looks worse than the past 2 sessions. Basically she intentionally created new lines to my eyes. I've always been respectful towards her. I'm very unsure why she had to do that, it is what it is. Be cautious about getting into personal conversations. I feel gratitude fees nor tips aren't advised for micro needling. For haircuts and other services that's on the individual. BTW: Since I ordered 3 micro needling services for $950 I didn't expect to be charged for a face serum. I was charged 15$ so I smiled and paid for it. Elsandra gave me back my numbing cream and I said thanks she turned her back and walked away briskly. I thought how ODD that reflects in her personality in her when her intentions were to ruin my appearance under my eyes. Good for her. That's why I do not TIP. She even tried to sell me EXTRA stuff and I mentioned to her I'm short on money and she just frowned. I wouldn't ever hire Elsandra for micro-needling services in the future. When I went to report this Michele called mw to scream at me on the phone. Rely is this how you treat your customers? She believed Elsandra saying I used skin care products i ordered online recently to save money. Wrong. She was using that as an excuse to save herself from getting into trouble. Elsandra knows she got caught. They shouldn't be in business how they treat me. Let me start by saying that for this price range, this place gets 5 stars from me. Great pricing for great services. Despite some scathing reviews on yelp, I came here at the recommendation of a friend who swears by this place. She even came here from Pittsburgh to have her hair done by Andrea for her wedding! I was not disappointed at all! I was greeted with a smile and tea, had an amazing mani and pedi with Meghan... actually one of the best polish jobs I've ever had. The massage, done by Tim, was incredibly therapeutic and he did exactly what I asked for. I wanted him to work some problem areas (back/hamstrings) and have it be more physical therapy than "relaxing." He answered my wishes and was extremely knowledgeable about exercises, stretches and pressure points to focus on. I left feeling rejuvinated and in zero back/hamstring pain! I finished off my stay by relaxing in the BEAUTIFUL lounge and sauna. Over time things change and well Spa Roma is not exempt from that rule of nature. Spa Roma is no longer the largest spa in the region and now very far from being the best. The last visit there was in mid-2009 and I won't be going back unless something amazing changes. It seems like over night the place became filthy and chaotic. Dust and dirt everywhere, directionless staff members which seem more interested in gabbing with each other than chatting up clients. Worst of all is the apparent unsanitary conditions. From hairstyling stations, to waxing rooms, to massage facilities, there isn't one place that doesn't need drastic improvements in cleanliness and safety. If you are looking for a new spa or just want to skip potential cross-contamination issues head over to the Tuscan Sun Spa in Clarksburg's Eastpointe Plaza. The actual facility was beautiful but I would have rather gotten my "spa" services in the back of a moving van! Terrible service, the owner was very rude and asked me to leave as I was waiting for my service to be finished (it was done so poorly I wasn't aware I was done). VERY unprofessional staff. They seemed sort of friendly but not professional at all. I really really thought that because I was paying more, I'd get more! I would advise them to test out their staff before hiring. This review is only in regards to their nail services. The last few times I have been there I have been sincerely disappointed. The last two manicures I had at spa roma have been gel manicures. And both times the gels have simply popped off after about 3 to 5 days. They both were light colors. The edges around my nail polish began to turn gray and started to peel until they came off. Pedicures have also become an issue. The last time I got and paid for a pedicure, it was as if I never got one. There was polish on my nails and they were shaped, but my feet were just as rough and dry, if not more so, then when I came in. At this point, I will have to look for a new nail salon. read more

I went here to have Japanese thermal reconditioning done to my hair. The woman who did it was very nice and pleasant to talk with which is good as this is a very time consuming process, about 6 hours. I have had this done 5 other times in Denver and had perfect results. I expected the same here. Unfortunately, she used an off brand product and didn't pay attention to the fact that I told her exactly what my hair required. I did know she didn't follow my instructions, but I figured she knew what she was talking about, so I let it go. HUGE mistake!!!!! After all was said and done, I waited 4 days to wash my hair and the end result was hair that was still incredibly frizzy and somewhat curly. I wasted 6 hours of my time and $650.00! I just got a haircut from Lauren there today. She did an awesome job and really loves her work. Very friendly personality and as a tourist from Los Angeles, she is representing Morgantown well. She also has amazing hair, which is an indicator of a good stylist. I was offered complimentary tea and coffee but didn't take any since she was prompt to meet with me. We went for a Couples Massage a few days ago and chose the longer one. My husband's massage was fine, but mine was one of the worst I've ever had in my life. Neither therapist bothered to introduce themselves to us or ask us any questions about our treatment. There was an upcharge for hot stones, "aromatherapy" (a bottle of oil with a few drops of essential oil in it) and "deep tissue". I had to ask my therapist to stop doing some really stupid moves on my neck. I am a massage therapist and spa owner and have had hundreds if not thousands of massages, in all different modalities. This one, in fact, the whole experience of being at this spa, ranked down at the bottom. The spa was full of people who were totally uninterested in helping or paying any attention to customers. There was no "intake" whatsoever, to see if either of us had any serious issues or contraindications for massage therapy. A spa should make absolutely sure that any therapist or staff member that works on or sees a customer is trained, competent and people oriented. My therapist got a "zero" on all accounts. If a spa doesn't bother training their massage therapists, or making sure they have a minimul level of competence, then I can only imagine the level of competence of the rest of the staff. Let's start with the rude receptionists. Then, let's go to dirty changing room with NO room to actually change your clothes, no towels and no robes. Then let's move onto a $150 scrub with a vichey shower that didn't even last an hour and the shower and it's operator were HORRIBLE. It is so hard to find stylists who can cut curly hair well, and she definitely fit the bill-- I will be coming here again! After reading plenty of positive reviews, I decided to go with Spa Roma over other spas in town. The staff was very friendly and they were able to fit me in the same day I called. However, my massage was anything but great. The therapist knew what he was doing, but had a weird vibe the whole time that made it awkward and hard for me to relax. I felt tensed up the entire time and have never had that problem with a massage before. After the massage I did not feel any better, and actually had some pain in my shoulders from the techniques he used. The pressure was a bit near overbearing and didn't seem to help at all. On top of that, I get that wearing a mask because of COVID-19 is required, but when my face is already down on the table, I don't think I should have to have a mask on. It made it nearly impossible to breathe and caused my face to sweat uncontrollably. I can't say that I will be returning to Spa Roma after paying $150 for an unhelpful massage and an awkward, uncomfortable experience. read more

I still cant beleive I have just paid 150 dollars for that mediocre service. I am extremly disappointed, worst spa experience ever ! In my life I have never been to a spa where they first dont offer a bathrobe so you could get comfortable or at least for any facial you remove the top caus we're supposed to have the treatment applied on the neck area. I've been there today for a very first time as we are new in the area. I used to go to red door spa in fairfax virginia and it is like comparing day and night. So I 've been asked to get on the treatment bed with all my clothes, shoes.... The lady has applied an alcohol lsubstance on my skin that burns and has an awful smell. Then she started the microderma straight. Well the microderma isnt a pleasant treatment but I used to have it followed by mask, face massage and a whole procedure that made the experience more relaxing. Well I had nothing. I asked for extractions and i had them right after the microderma with only a cream , she wiped my face, applied two drops of a stinky oil on her fingers then on my face and that was it ! A 150 dollars of wasted money on a horrible spa treatment . Seriously? Even the most modest spa I have been to, offered a better service, so that's lead me to describe this business as a ripp off, no way that these people are building a long term customers so no surprise they would charge a max to customers they wont see again anyway. I know there are several negative reviews about Spa Roma here and on other websites, however, I feel compelled to share my positive experience with the spa. I will agree that there are some less than pleasant staff members at the spa (in particular the women at the front desk-- there was one woman in particular who was not at all friendly or helpful), however, all of the women who actually provided services to me were amazing. I have been to Spa Roma twice for nails, hair, and makeup. I actually had my entire bridal party come in for both nails and makeup and each of us had a positive experience. The overall outcome was amazing!! We looked beautiful and I was very happy with their attentive work. I would recommend for wedding services, just be sure to book appointments well in advance because they do book up. Overall, the staff was helpful and their work was impeccable. I'm not sure which staff members previous reviewers worked with but I worked with Amy for makeup and we had several different hair stylists-- each did a great job and was friendly. My photographer did our "getting ready" shots at the spa and the pictures came out beautifully. Overall, I recommend the spa and think it should be considered for wedding parties and other beauty services. read more

The spa atmosphere is very nice and the ladies who work there were very friendly. However, the prices are way too high and the quality of my manicure and pedicure were not good. I got a shellac manicure right before my wedding and honeymoon. They usually last me 2-3 weeks and the one I got at Spa Roma began peeling at the edges the same day I got it! It was chipped in places about 5 days later and I ended up just peeling the manicure off a week after getting it. Also, my 4 year old niece wanted to get her nails painted and they charge her $30! They painted her finger and toe nails and rubbed her legs for about 30 seconds. read more

I've been going to SpaRoma for several years and have always had a wonderful experience no matter what service (hair, facial, massage, nail) was provided. The staff is always very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and up to date with their skills. I've noticed over the years that special attention to adding/providing advanced services and state of the art equipment has been and continues to be a priority as well as employee training. I've been to several spas both locally and during trips. The attendants at the front desk of the Spa Roma were the most unfriendly, disinterested people I have ever met anywhere. Our reservations were botched and they seemed to care little about helping to correct the situation. It was sort of an "oopsie, my bad!" kind of moment. REALLY?
