So I stopped into Salon 918 this past week to get a cut and an eyebrow wax. I had just back to the…read morearea after having spent 30 years in VA. Needless to say, I was pretty nervous leaving my regular barber behind in Va. I was a walk-in as well, so I was envisioning the worst, but my fears were soon washed away like so many salon shampoos. The management scheduled me with Camille, and I couldn't be happier. She listened to what I wanted and took into account my current lifestyle and worked some major magic on my cut and eyebrow wax. Everything was great, and I will certainly stop in the next time I'm in town.

I was wildly impressed with her. I am in town for work and extremely glad that I found this place. It looks very unassuming but don't let that stop you. Prices are fantastic here and a great deal. I will be returning without a doubt. Go check it out!!

She was awesome throughout every aspect of our interactions; she worked diligently to release the muscles in the areas where I was extremely tight and holding tension. Oh, and her pricing is extremely reasonable as well!

It was also nice that I was asked about pressure at the beginning, and there was no other chatting that allowed me to relax. That's it for positives. The rest: 1) There is a waiting room but the front door is kept locked for safety, I assume and understand. So, you have to wait in your car. The waiting room does not have chairs anyway. 2) Appointments are scheduled back to back. This means that if you are ready to go to the massage room instead of taking a restroom break, your room is not ready. 3) I scheduled a 50-minute service, arrived 4 minutes earlier (all time points are based on my phone clock for precision). The front door was opened in a couple of minutes, the massage therapist was letting out and had a small talk with the previous client. Then, said that the room needs to be prepared and gave me veeeery long time to get myself on the table, only to come in without knocking. The massage ended 5 minutes before my scheduled end time! I assume that all dressing and undressing are considered a part of the massage time . That's the first for me! 3) The most important part: Massage itself was Swedish, so I didn't expect any deep tissue pressure. However, I have been getting massages for over 20 years including massages at the Deep Creek Lake area. I could simply tell that my muscles groups were not worked during this massage. Also, this full body massage didn't include feet or hands - one more first for me. I left a tip because it is a small business but I can't leave a good review or see myself going there again.

I have never had even a remotely negative experience here, and the atmosphere could not be more warm, cozy, and welcoming! Plus, Sage&Hollow's owner, Kylelee, is honestly the most caring and compassionate girl, so you'll always leave feeling like you've just had a heart-to-heart with Miss Dolly at Truvy's Beauty Spot--with a haircut to match (although, MUCH less '80s haha)!

Lazy, rude, and a complete waste of $65. I booked an…read moreappointment that was supposed to last two hours for braids. When I mentioned the expected time, she immediately hit me with "Why would your braids take two hours?" Then she followed it up with "Your braids are super easy" -- like that was her excuse to rush and do the bare minimum. She had me in and out in no time with almost zero effort. The braids looked decent at first, but they started falling apart in less than two days. A female friend of mine looked at them and straight-up said, "I could have done better than that" -- and she doesn't even do hair. She acted like she didn't even want to be there. No attention to detail, no pride in the work, just slap some braids in, take the money, and send me on my way. I've had way better braids for the same price or less from other places. If you're looking for quality braids that actually last and someone who actually cares about doing a good job, skip this spot. Save your money and go somewhere else.

My husband and I just had our first massage (90 minutes) with Kat, and we're so lucky to have found…read moreher. I've had many massages, and Kat is one of the best. We plan on scheduling with her whenever we travel to Western MD, the PA Laurel Highlands or nearby WV. From my first phone contact, Kat was friendly and available. She began the session with inquiries into our health history, current symptoms, and areas that we wanted to concentrate on. Her massage room is completely equipped with warming bed, HEPA filter, hot towels, aromatherapy if desired, high quality lotion, and the other usual supplies. Throughout the session, Kat explained what she was going to do next, and checked in to make sure the pressure was right for me. She worked on my entire body from head and face to toes. I left feeling completely relaxed, and with the areas of concern greatly improved. Kat works solo, so while my husband and I waited our turns, we spent the time chatting with Kat's husband, reading books, and watching TV in their cozy home. They really made a very cold spring vacation day that much better. To top it all off, Kat's prices are extremely reasonable; even more so considering Kat's experience at Nemacolin. I truly hope all her customers give her the tips she deserves. I also urge you to look at the 'not recommended' reviews. These folks know Kat, and their comments helped my decision to use her services.
