The good: My husband got me a Groupon for a facial here as a push gift. I got the vitamin c facial with eye treatment. Making an appointment online was easy. The coupon cost $59 but the treatment was normally $118. They said I could come back for a second treatment at the same price. I had Carol give me a facial. The facial was relaxing and I fell asleep. All of the products used were natural and mostly unscented. They had a towel tube top to wear so they could massage my arms and neck area as well as apply treatment there. They did a little bit of blackhead extraction on the sides of my nose. It was satisfying. The bad: They didn't have available appointments until over a week out. It was a little uncomfortable for my pelvis to lay on my back because I was almost 39 weeks pregnant but the table was otherwise comfy. It was a bit stuffy and warm inside the studio. The warm towel would've been more satisfying had the room been a little less stuffy. The interesting: The vitamin c mask smelled like hay or a pet store. read more

I came here for a lash lift and tint. The women made one of my eyes way to curled. It ended up being the first one she started with. So I'm thinking she left the stuff on for to long causing it to over process. She was kind, don't get me wrong. But she was getting really into a story.. and I can't help but think maybe she got a little distracted. Anyways, at the end of it. I didn't realize how uneven my eyelashes were. It was pretty dim inside and she only handed me a small hand mirror to look at them. In the lightening it looked okay and I was pleased. The moment I walked outside and looked in my car, I noticed right away that one was crazy curled and twisted. I called the company right away to see when I could get this fixed. I was told I could come back next Friday (1 week later). I had to goto the same spot and it was the same women again who helped me, she was literally the only person there. She kept saying these things happen, it's not an exact science.. or something. And kinda seemed a little annoyed to have to fix them. She still was nice.. but i definitely felt a little awkward, unwanted, and honestly scared it would happen again. && it DID! Not as curly as the first time but about the same. I had to have my lashes like that for about 2 months until the product came off... luckily at least one of my eyes looked good. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place.. or at least not this location. Sorry. It's not a cheap service.. so I just don't feel a "it may take.. it may not take" is really acceptable. Not to mention I live in Santa Monica and I drove almost an hour just to come here.. because of reviews. Not worth the two trips. read more

The place seems to be split into two businesses, it was kind of confusing when I walked in. The front desk lady for Spa Riviera was alright. She didn't seem too friendly; maybe it's because I was just getting a massage? The place is meant more for skincare treatments. Anyways, I actually found this place through Groupon for an aromatherapy massage. I got my massage a couple weeks ago. My masseuse was Nita and she was amazing!! I've seen both Julia and the owner Tony and they're both wonderful! I've done 2 treatments of microdermabrasion so far and I believe it's helping my skin to look more youthful and even. I've also struggled with acne all my life and it's not bad anymore but I do get breakouts occasionally and am very sensitive to products. The staff is working with me to find the best products for my skin, one at a time, which I really appreciate! I have historically always left any kind of facial with my skin super red and irritated. She focused on removing the knots I had in my shoulder area. I loved her technique. I've had deep tissue massages at different places but hers was the most effective! I have waited to do my review just to see how my lash perm and tint would hold up. So far, its been a month and i love my lashes. I dont need mascara or a lash curler. I had a fee lash extensions when i went to see Ramona and she wasnt sure if they would curl. But they did!! The tint and perm has made such a difference in how i see myself. I hated the extensions. I've had 2 treatments at this facility so far, and let me tell you-- artistry and magic happen here. I have been to multiple facilities and aestheticians across the Los Angeles region, all of them wonderful, but Spa Riviera is supreme. I haven't felt so cared about as a patient before. The attention to detail to MY skin was astounding. I had a different aesthetician for each treatment and they were both amazing in their own ways. Extra time was taken for me and the expertise is really there. Being able to understand what my skin needs by just looking at it and not by asking too many questions. I found Tony's spa after looking for spas that sell 302 products (which I swear by). Tony seems like a very nice and knowledgeable guy. However, I felt somewhat pressured to buy products/services and ended up spending twice as much as I intended. I went in for a facial, he told me microderm. would be a better option. He seemed sincere, so I got my first one. I just needed to refresh two products and Tony vouched for another product that he said would help with my oily skin. But I have been using it for almost two months now and it hasn't done anything. Initially he offered to split up the cost, which is why I agreed, but when we got to the front he charged me for everything. He then said he wanted to see me again in 3 weeks, which I simply could not afford. I just moved to the area, but I was getting regular facial treatments monthly back home. I was really hoping to be a regular at Spa Riviera, but I have to really trust my aesthetician. However, if cost is not an issue for you, he definitely knows his stuff when it comes to microdermabraision. So treament gets 4 stars, but i'm deducting 1 for the experience. read more

Tony is a great guy who offers a valuable service at a reasonable price. It may not be the cheapest, but it's the best value for your money! I go there for microdermabrasion, but I get skin advice and a massage as well. The microdermabrasion has been the only thing to help clear up my skin and I've gotten a lot of comments from friends that my face glows these days. :) If you buy multiple visits at once, you can get a good discount and my treatments average out to about $115 each (that's not counting the FREE first one I had through a special promo). Tony also stocks some fantastic skin care products that you can purchase for a very affordable price. The Harmony solution (glycolic) has done wonders for maintaining my skin between visits. read more

(This is wife's review) I've been going to Tony about every other month for 8 months for microdermabrasion and skin advice. I get compliments all the time on my skin. He makes the whole experience very relaxed, explaining what he's doing every step of the way and making sure you're comfortable. There are different levels of intensity, so if youre sesitive, he will adjust. I just gifted my sister a session, she'd never had any kind of facial before and she loved it! I think it'll be on her Xmas list ;) He has nice natural products that he recommends based on your session, but I don't feel pressured to buy. I got my first microdermabrasion facial with Tony today and I had an awesome experience! He was very knowledgeable & passionate about microdermabrasion, and made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole treatment. During the facial I could tell he was very thorough in everything he did. He went back to the same areas on my face multiple times to ensure he didn't miss a spot. I found out things about my skin that I didn't even know lol! It was supposed to be a 60 min treatment but it ended up being an hour and a half! He is very caring & really cares about his clients. I asked him a lot of different questions about skincare and he gave me great responses every time. I bought my package on Groupon for 2 microderms. He said each microdermabrasion treatment is $155 but I got 2 on Groupon for the price of one.
