I was visiting family and knew I needed to get this taken care of ASAP. I looked up spas that were close by and found Refresh Massage just down the street. I booked my appointment online for the following hour. When I arrived, I was greeted by Brian (?) who said Sara would be just a moment. The lobby was very clean. They have a menu of services listed along with a note of which services they do not...it was amusing and disturbing that they needed to acknowledge these "requests." Sara came out and showed me to a clean, tidy room. I wasn't sure of which service I needed and after discussing it with her it was decided that the Focus massage would be the best. She did my neck and shoulders over a thin sheet which was not uncomfortable. Towards the end she did use some oil on my neck. She used the perfect amount of pressure for me and she was very kind. When I got back to the house, my daughter mentioned that she goes to Refresh Massage and asks for Sara...She was at work when I made the appointment so I wasn't able to consult her prior. :-) I was very pleased with my experience and I would highly recommend this spa! My head and neck feel amazing today!

He'll feel for the tension, then he'll work on that area with progressive pressure, then he'll ease up, go to another spot, then come back to the tense area. He doesn't follow a robotic pattern in sequential way. He intuitively feels for tension, and works on the areas that need it the most. This is my most favorite kind of masseuse. He's very professional, and as a woman, I felt very comfortable the whole time. I felt like a million dollars when I left, just so relaxed. This place is a diamond in the rough; they have someone for everyone, whether you like very soft pressure or deep pressure. The therapist attempted back-walking for less than a minute before switching to rubbing heavily fragranced oil all over my body with little to no technique or pressure control. It was distracting and came across as very unprofessional. It honestly felt like she did not want to be there. The oil was so heavily fragranced that my skin became itchy afterward and felt irritated for hours. Because of how uncomfortable the experience was, I ended the massage after only 15 minutes. When I went to leave, instead of apologizing or asking what went wrong, the front desk staff started yelling across the business about how long I had been in the room so they could determine whether to charge me. The location is in a great complex that feels safe, quiet, and comfortable. On is able to work out knots in my neck and shoulders like no one else. She's also been incredibly helpful in relieving leg and hip pain from a car accident years ago that physical therapy couldn't resolve.
